She smiled softly back. “Sorry, if I've been rambling.”
She smiled softly back. “Sorry, if I've been rambling.”
"It's alright. Rambling is quite normal."
“Yeah… I guess so.” she nodded slightly. “But it can get annoying… Especially when I do it.”
"Don't worry about it. Really."
“Thanks, Raven.” she smiled softly.
She sat down, taking her hair out of the bun and letting it fall loose around her shoulders.
Jade sighed a little and leaned back into the couch.
"A lot of the villains have been really quiet lately." she said.
“I’ve noticed.” she nodded slightly. “But I don't know if I should be worried about that or if I should enjoy the calm while it lasts.”
"Yeah, me too." she shook her head a little. "It's…odd, though."
“Yeah. I know what you mean. I’m just really hoping that the storm isn’t going to be as bad as I’m starting to think it could be.” she admitted, rubbing her temple as she winced at the headache she knew that train of thought would bring.
"Yes. Especially with so many of the more violent ones being…" She trailed off. "Unfindable."
Jade nodded thoughtfully, furrowing her brow. “No one is really “unfindable”… Just better at hiding. There's always a way.” she ended in a murmur.
"True. But my abilities don't tend that way, I suppose."
“Maybe not… but mine do, unfortunately.” she groaned, trying not to think about it too much. “But a bird's eye view can be very helpful.”
"Mm, no, I'm the one with the bird's eye view, remember?" She laughed. "It's not quite as helpful as it sounds."
Jade chuckled softly and shrugged. “I’ll take your word for it, Birdie.”
"Mm, indeed. Everything is so small from up there. It's annoying."
“Really? I would have thought it would be an amazing view. But that might just be my lack of experience.” she shrugged, thinking of the view she had seen from her hoverboard. She had always enjoyed it, personally.
"It is. Just bad for details." She replied with a laugh. "I'll take a picture from up there sometime."
“Again, I’ll take your word for it. But I always thought birds had very sharp eyes to make up for the distance.” she shrugged.
"They do, but it's still…from so high up, no matter how sharp your eyesight, details are hard to see sometimes."
“Fair enough.” she smiled, relaxing a little. The nice change in conversation was helping distract her from her earlier thoughts.
She nodded a little. "Like I said, I'll send you a picture so you can see the view."
"I'd like that… Though, I am curious how you would manage that with wings." she smirked.
