She turned to look at Raven with a raised brow. “Uhh, I’m a hero? That's pretty complicated on its own.” she pointed out, though it was partly an excuse… Even though it was also true.
She turned to look at Raven with a raised brow. “Uhh, I’m a hero? That's pretty complicated on its own.” she pointed out, though it was partly an excuse… Even though it was also true.
"Mm, well, yes, but that doesn't necessarily make a relationship complicated."
“So, I’m guessing that you haven't had to lie to someone you’re dating about where you were when you were supposed to meet them or why you have to run off suddenly.” she sighed.
"I have, but a good relationship can survive that."
She chuckled softly. “Well, none of my dates have really lasted beyond the second. And very few of them were… interesting to me before this one.” she admitted, blushing again.
She nodded. "Can I ask what about this person is so interesting?"
“Oh, geez…” she groaned as she tried to think of what to say. “Well, he's a bit of a mystery. He's kind, understanding, funny, definitely handsome I’ll admit and I think he's a bit of a cuddler. But he's also been hurt and shuts down when you ask him something too personal but I can understand that and why.” she sighed again, chewing her lip slightly. “And he… He’s scared of… just a possibility of something. I know why he’s scared of it so I don't blame him but I really think that possibility is extremely minute.”
She nodded a little. "He sounds like a decent guy, but the whole…shutting down thing sounds a little worrying." she said slowly, shifting and crossing her legs.
She shrugged a little. “I mean, I do worry about it, but it's just something he doesn't want to talk about. I think it's still just a sore subject for him.”
"Ah, right, okay." she nodded again, stretching.
“I would like him to tell me more about it eventually but I'm not going to force him to talk about it.”
"Well yeah, you shouldn't force anyone to talk about omething they don't want to."
“Yeah. That tends to cause more harm than good.” she nodded.
"Mhm. He's a good guy, though?"
She nodded. “He just has a hard time seeing it. Partly because he's had a bit of a rough past but, yes. I think he is a good guy.”
She nodded. "Mm, makes sense."
“I… I think I really like him.” she admitted softly, blushing again.
She smiled. "That's good."
Jade chuckled a little. “Yeah. I just hope he likes me as much as I think he does. Honestly, he never says it but all his actions make me think that…” she shrugged.
"Some people are afraid of the word love. It has a lot of commitment wrapped up in it."
She nodded. “I know. And I have considered that… I don't know, I don't want to be selfish but I would like to hear him say it.”
She nodded. "Of course, and that's understandable. Everyone wants to hear it from someone they care about."
She sighed, letting her shoulders drop in relief. “Thanks for listening. I… I don't really get to talk about this stuff with anyone.” she admitted. “I mean, it's not exactly easy to talk to Sophie about this.”
"Yeah, no problem." She replied with a faint shrug.
She chuckled softly as she looked back over at Raven. “I’m really glad we ran into each other. And that we got to talk like this.” she smiled.
