“Though, I have to admit, I wish I knew what was going on in his head sometimes. It would make things much easier.”
“Though, I have to admit, I wish I knew what was going on in his head sometimes. It would make things much easier.”
She laughed. "It would make all of our jobs easier, if we knew what the bad guys were thinking."
Jade chuckled a little and nodded, glad that Raven had taken her comment that way even though that wasn't all that she meant. "Yeah… Know any telepaths? Maybe we could recruit them." she teased.
She shook her head. "Nah. Sadly."
"Me neither." she sighed with a little smile. "Oh, well. We still do pretty good as we are anyway."
"Of course we do."
She laughed a little and finished cleaning up the groceries. “Thanks again for helping me get all of this in. I hadn't expected to get this much today.”
"Yeah, no problem. I think it's funny, too, that I was the one that helped you."
“Yeah. It is kinda ironic.” she smiled, nodding a little. “But I am glad this worked out that way.”
"Yeah." she laughed a little bit.
Jade sighed a little and nodded with a small smile as she tried to think of something else that they could talk about.
Raven looked over at the jetpack plans again. "So, planning to fly?"
“Possibly.” she shrugged, moving to clean up those papers before she forgot again. “I mostly just like the idea of being prepared, even though this might not be ready for another year.” she admitted with a chuckle.
She laughed. "Ah, I see."
“Yeah. This is just one of about a dozen ideas that I get.” she blushed. “Don’t always get around to them though. Some of them just aren't plausible yet.”
"I see." she replied, nodding a bit.
“You said that already.” she chuckled a little as she looked back at the other heroine. “Sorry if I'm rambling about this.” she apologized, knowing that a lot of people, heroes especially, didn't like it when she accidentally made them feel… less intelligent than they were.
"Ah sorry!" she blushed faintly, embarrassed. "I just meant, like, I get not getting around to all of the projects you had planned, I guess."
“It’s ok, Rook. It's no big deal.” she assured her. “But I’m glad you can understand that problem.” she smiled softly.
Raven nodded a bit, looking at her with a soft smile.
Jade smiled back as she sat down on the couch and finished rolling up her blueprints.
Raven was quiet, looking around.
Jade looked up at Raven and smiled a little, feeling a little awkward with the silence.
Raven smiled back.
“So…” she chuckled a little.
