Raven gave her a faint smile.
Raven gave her a faint smile.
Jade smiled a little awkwardly. “So… What was that question you asked me a moment ago?”
"You said…" she shook her head a little bit.
Jade bit her lip nervously but nodded for her to continue. “What did I say?” she asked softly.
"You called me Rook."
Her eyes widened at the answer. “Oh! Uhh… Sorry?” she shrugged.
She nodded, running a hand through her hair.
Jade looked back at Raven, this time a bit more analytically as she mentally compared the woman in front of her and the shapeshifting heroine.
Raven was quiet, clearing her throat faintly.
“You know… you do kind of resemble her.” Jade admitted after a moment. “It’s mostly just that you have different colored hair.”
Raven tugged on a lock of hair, frowning a little. "Ah."
Jade raised a brow slightly with a light smirk as she handed her a fresh cup of water. “Yeah, Birdie has dark black hair.”
She nodded, wondering if Jade was onto her.
Jade hummed a little, slightly disappointed that she didn't get a rise out of the nickname like she usually did. “She’s also a bit short-tempered at times. Can't say I blame her though.”
Raven shifted, crossing her arms. "And?"
“And what?” she smirked a little.
She shrugged, narrowing her eyes a little.
“It is you, isn't it Birdie?” she asked carefully.
She didn't speak for a long moment, before finally saying, "Depends who's speaking."
“Can’t you guess?” she chuckled. “Who else is smart enough to try to build a real jetpack?”
She laughed faintly. "Brainwave?"
Jade laughed a little and nodded. “Of all the heroes out there, I didn't expect to run into you out of costume.” she smiled giving her a hug.
She laughed again, hugging Jade back. "Me either."
“I never would have pegged you for a redhead.” she teased as she pulled back from the hug. “Though I guess I shouldn't be surprised.”
She shook her head. "I can have whatever hair color I want, Jade." She replied, smiling. "I don't usually stick with them for more than a week."
