(just gonna give Rook a name lmao)
Raven Tanner was humming faintly, leaning back against a light post, her red hair bound up in a bun. She didn't have anything to do right now, and was rather bored.

(Nice name.)
It was a little late in the day, early evening at least, but Jade wasn't too worried. She was able to handle herself without giving herself away.
Raven looked up, and saw Jade. "Need some help with those bags?"
Jade looked up in surprise at the unexpected offer. “Uhh… Sure. Thank you, miss.” she nodded giving a small smile.
She nodded, taking a few of them. "I'm Raven, by the way."
“Jade. Nice to meet you.” she smiled gratefully as the other woman helped her.
"Nice to meet you too. How far are you walking?" she asked.
“I live in the apartment building a few blocks away.” she said gesturing in the right direction as she started leading.
Raven nodded a little bit. "Alright."
Jade hummed briefly in acknowledgment as she continued walking. “So, are you from around here?” she asked innocently.
"Mm, yes and no." Raven replied. "I wasn't born here, but I moved here three years ago."
Jade nodded in interest. “Almost wish I could say the same. Where are you from then?”
"Here and there." She shrugged. "I moved around a lot as a kid. Military brat."
“Wow. You must have been to a lot of interesting places.” she surmised. “Unfortunately I'm not so interesting. I'm just a computer tech who never really left town.”
"Ah, of course. Well, at least it means you know the city really well?"
“True. But if you've lived here long enough, then you would know it pretty well too.” she quipped, smiling at Raven.
She laughed a little. "Ah, true."
“So, I’m assuming that you have been here that long then.” she commented with a slightly raised brow.
"Well, like I said, three years. I know my way around but I'm sure there are things that I have yet to learn aobut the city."
“Oh, right. You did mention that.” she blushed. “Sorry.”
She laughed a little. "Mhm. It's fine."
“Ok. Whoa! Watch out!” she warned suddenly as a motorcycle roared out in front of them at the crosswalk. “Jerk! It was red!” she yelled after the reckless driver.
Raven glared after the driver, shaking her head. "What an asshole."
“They don't deserve that bike.” she said, nodding in agreement with the other girl.
She nodded a little bit. "Exactly."
