Killian nodded. "Yeah. I know." he replied with a shrug. "I never thought you would."
Killian nodded. "Yeah. I know." he replied with a shrug. "I never thought you would."
She nodded. ”And it wouldn't be fair for me to expect you to give up being Hex. I'm sure you have a reason for it… whatever that is.” Jade stood up and starting pacing. ”But… I'm not a psychic or anything but I know that the next time we fight… i-it’ll be different.”
"I know." Killian replied again. "Don't worry about it. Long as the public doesn't know anything happened, it'll be fine." he stretched.
Jade shook her head. ”I'm not worried about the public. They can't tell much of a difference between someone saying that they’ll pull the trigger and actually meaning it.” she brushed off that worry. ”It’s the day to day stuff I'm more concerned with. I really like the fact that I can talk to you about the hero stuff without having to explain anything but… it's not like I could just text or call you how your day went when I just beat you up.”
Killian shrugged. "Mm. I can see how that conversation would go." he chuckled, looking over at her.
Jade gave a small half-laugh at the idea and nodded again. ”Right. So what are we supposed to do? Because I do want to hang out with you like this again, even though I know that sounds ridiculous. I mean, a hero and villain hanging out on their off days? It almost sounds like a bad joke.” she started to ramble as she continued pacing.
Killian blinked. "Slow down, Jade. I…would like to hang out with you more, but you're right. It would be a little awkward." He chuckled.
Jade froze for a moment in surprise as he said that. She hadn't been sure what she had been expecting from him but a part of her had been hoping he would say that. ”Yeah, it would.” she replied softly, as she tried to pull her thoughts back to less of a frenzy. ”Sorry. Sometimes I can't help but overthink something and I'm having a hard time thinking about how we're going to keep this… the way we are.”
Killian bit his lip. "Yeah, don't worry about it." he chuckled softly, blowing out a breath. "I…don't know how we could do it, though. At least…" he shrugged.
”At least what?” she asked, curious if he had any ideas. ”It's not like we can just go back to before, either.” Jade pointed out. I care about you now.
He shrugged. "At least, so long as we're careful about how we meet up. It might work." He looked over at her with a quiet sigh.
Jade nodded. ”That goes without saying. And we wouldn't be able to meet up frequently. But no one knows my identity, except for you and as far as I'm aware, I'm the only one who knows yours. I would like to keep it that way as long as I can.” she stated. ”Do you really think we can pull this off?”
(lol. Wait there's an anime???)
(Yep! It only covers the 1st two seasons of the 'live' version though. There's also tie-in novels; I can give you a list of them if you're interested!)
(lol oof okay. Uhhm sure!)
Killian nodded. "Yeah. And technically I don't know it, you never told me your last name." He chuckled softly.
Jade chuckled softly. ”You still know more than anyone else. Everyone I know only knows Jade or Brainwave. You know both as the same person.” she smiled at him. ”But I guess I could tell you. You've been trustworthy so far.”
"Mm." Killian shrugged. "You only have to tell me if you really think you can." He replied, looking at her carefully.
Jade looked at him analytically but not unkindly. Trying to figure out what was going on in her own head. She did trust him and she knew that the usual dangers of telling someone her full identity was greatly lessened because of who he was and what he was capable of. He knew the ”game” as well as she did… She let out a small sigh and nodded to herself. ”Jade Crowe.”
Killian nodded. "Alright. And obviously you know who I am." He chuckled a little, giving her a light smile.
Jade nodded with a small smile. ”Yeah, I do… But if you still want to tell me you can.” she chuckled a little awkwardly.
Killian shrugged. "Nah. No point in telling you something you already know." He replied with a soft laugh.
Jade chuckled, smiling at his logic. ”Ok. Fair enough.” she sighed as she sat back down on the couch. ”So, what now?”
Killian shrugged. "We finish the show?" he suggested with a soft chuckle, raising his eyebrows a little as he looked over at her.
”Sure.” she smiled. ”Sorry I interrupted it.” Jade apologized with a small chuckle and let herself relax.
Killian shrugged. "It's fine." he clicked play again, returning his attention to the show with a small smile.
(… What should happen next? I almost want to skip to a fight scene between whoever vs. Jade or Hex and the other sees it on the news…)
