Killian arched an eyebrow. "I don't need help, Jade." He replied, looking down at her. "But uh…thank you."
Killian arched an eyebrow. "I don't need help, Jade." He replied, looking down at her. "But uh…thank you."
Jade gave him a disbelieving look. It was sooo obvious to her that something was bothering him… but it’s his choice if he wants to talk about it. ”If you say so.” She relented with a sigh, for now.
Killian shook his head a little, letting out a sigh. "Alright." He replied, looking around the room.
Jade gave Killian’s hand a soft squeeze before pulling away unsure of what else to say or do at the moment. Maybe I should leave now…
He exhaled. "Anyway. Uhm…" He trailed off, frowning a little. "I'm not sure what to do now." He gave a soft, awkward laugh.
Jade smiled a bit relieved. ”Neither do I.” she admitted, a little embarrassed. ”Maybe I should leave now? I don't want to overstay your generosity.”
Killian tipped his head slightly. "Like I said, you can stay for as long as you need to or want to, Jade. I…have to admit, I am curious about why you can here instead of going back to your roommate, but…" He shrugged a little.
Jade shook her head, trying to find the right reason to give. ”I… I'm not entirely sure. I… Aside from protecting her and my identity… I guess I didn't know who to trust.” she said slowly, a little unsure. ”Drugging someone isn't your style and I needed to find someplace safe.”
Killian nodded slowly. "I see." he replied. "Sorry, I think I've asked a similar question before and forgot." he gave a soft, embarrassed chuckle, shaking his head a little. "Anyway…" he trailed off. What happened to her? he wondered.
Jade shook her head with a small smile. ”It’s ok. Besides, if Sophie saw me in that state, after helping me, she’d be a bit more interested in why I was wearing the suit for at least a half-hour before anything else. Then would be the lifetime nagging about why I never told her and why I never use my ability to help her with something trivial.” she chucked. ”I’d have to try and invent a Neuralizer.”
(I have to go to bed now. Good night!)
Killian chuckled softly. "Ah, I see." he replied. "Yes, I can see how that would be annoying." he cocked his head. "Wait, what's a Neuralizer?" he asked slowly, looking at Jade curiously. "I…don't think I've heard that term before."
(Goodnight)
Jade chuckled a bit. ”It’s that silver pen looking thing from MiB with the red flash of light that wipes peoples memories. Next you'll be telling me you never heard of a Sonic Screwdriver.” she teased.
"Hey, I've never watched Men in Black!" Killian exclaimed. "But yes, I do know what a Sonic Screwdriver is." He rolled his eyes a little. "And a phaser, and a lightsaber."
”Glad to hear that at least.” Jade teased. ”The first two Men in Black movies are really good. I definitely recommend watching them sometime. The third one isn't a personal favorite and I haven't seen the newest one yet.”
Killian chuckled, then nodded. He walked into the kitchen. "Alright. I'll watch them at some point. Right now, I should do the dishes." He started doing them. "You can keep me company, if you want."
Jade nodded with a soft smile. ”I can help dry if you’d like.” she offered as she didn't really like just standing around, not being productive most of the time.
Killian dipped his head. "Alright." He replied. "The towel is right there." He pointed with an already sudsy hand.
”Thank you.” Jade followed his gesture and picked up the cloth, waiting to do her part. As long as Killian didn't start any mischief, it wouldn't take long between the two of them to finish and it's not like there were many dishes anyway.
Killian set a wet, but clean dish down on the counter, then kept working. He could have used magic, but magic drained his energy. Easier just to do it this way.
Jade picked up the dish and dried it methodically. She loved doing little things like this by hand, often talking her roommate out of doing those kind of chores.
Killian kept working, starting to hum softly as he did. He set another dish down, and picked up the next.
Jade finished drying the first dish and started the next one, listening to Killian hum. She wanted to ask what song it was but she decided to wait for a while… Maybe she’d figure it out on her own.
Killian continued humming as he worked, focused on the dishes. He nearly dropped one, catching it just in time to keep it from smashing on the floor.
”Nice reflexes.” she praised, impressed with how quickly he caught the plate. Jade smiled setting down the dish she had just finished. ”Hey? What song were you humming just now?”
Killian smiled. "Thanks." He set the clean plate down. "Oh. It was one my friend wrote at one point." He replied slowly. "I get it stuck in my head a lot." He shrugged slightly.
