He chuckled. "I sure hope you don't. That would be terrifying." He shrugged slightly, finishing his soda. He crumpled up the can and threw it away.

”It would be worse trying to get myself home.” Jade chuckled before giving an exaggerated shudder at the thought.
Killian chuckled. "Mhm. Sounds like it." He agreed, stretching. "I'm going to get dressed, be right back." He went to his room, coming back after a few minutes wearing a t shirt and jeans.
Jade blushed lightly when she remembered that she was only dressed in a black undershirt and her uniform. No doubt, her hair looked horrible too. ”Would you might if I cleaned up a little?”
Killian shook his head. "Not at all. The bathroom's this way, I'll show you." He replied, and started walking down the hallway.
”Thank you.” Jade stood and followed him, looking around his home as she did. She didn't have a chance to observe it at all last night, for obvious reasons, and she didn't think to this morning.
"You're welcome." his home was of middling size, and while it was mostly pretty neat and tidy, it was a little messy, with things in places where they likely shouldn't be. He opened the door to the bathroom. "Here. If you want to take a shower, you can, I don't care. If you need anything, just let me know."
”I should be able to manage.” Jade smiled as she walked in. ”I think I will take that offer on the shower before you change your mind.” she winked. ”Don’t worry, I won't take long.”
Killian nodded, then chuckled softly. "Alright then." he replied. "Don't take too long, that's the only bathroom in the house and I might need to use it." he said jokingly.
Jade laughed with a light blush as she closed the door. She was an only child growing up so she had never had to share a bathroom. Focusing on the task at hand, she quickly ran her fingers through her hair to get rid of any knots then started the water. I’m going to have to redo the bandage on my arm after. she sighed to herself as she removed her clothing and stepped in to the shower.
Killian went into the living room again, and turned on Pandora to listen to music as he cleaned up the house a bit. He was alright with a little mess, but he did like to keep the house as clean as he could.
True to her word, Jade didn't take more than a few minutes in the shower. Once she dried off, she found a fresh bandage and redressed her arm. She was used to doing this sort of thing on her own to keep her secret. Now, that she was much more clear-headed than before, she didn't have much trouble aside from the usual you would expect from doing this with one hand. Quickly getting dressed back into her uniform and tying up her hair in the towel, she walked back to the living room.
Killian was sitting with his head in his hand, bent over and looking at the floor. His spine and body looked tensed, almost worried, or even… scared. He didn't seem to notice her coming in. He had thought she would take much longer than that.
”Um… Hex? Are you okay?” she asked carefully, not approaching him just yet. She was somehow able to keep up a calm appearance despite her mind trying to figure out what could have happened to cause him this kind of distress.
Killian looked up, his eyes narrowed and crimson colored for a moment, before he blinked, eyes slowly returning to green. "Ah. I'm fine. I… wasn't aware you would be done so soon." He cleared his throat softly, standing and stretching.
Jade shrugged, walking towards him. ”I don't often take lengthy showers, though I have used that excuse for a couple of hero jobs.” she explained offhandedly. ”Is something wrong? I don't see your eyes turning red for no reason.”
Killian nodded. "I see. And yes, I'm fine." He replied, straightening his shirt with a quick tug on the hem.
Jade sighed. It was obvious he was lying. ”Killian, please. If something is bothering you, you can tell me. After everything you've done for me, I would like to help you.” she asserted gently, genuinely wanting to help.
Killian looked at her for a long moment. "It's nothing you need to worry about, Jade." He replied slowly. "It's just something I've been dealing with for a while now." He shrugged slightly, looking away from her.
”Alright. If that's how you really feel.” Jade relented. ”But if you ever change your mind…” she didn't get to finish her offer as a soft ringing cut her off. ”Oh, shoot! Where did you put my helmet?” she asked slightly alarmed.
Killian nodded, then picked up her helmet, holding it out to her. "Here." He said, raising an eyebrow. "Is your helmet…ringing?" He asked slowly.
”I don't carry my personal phone when I'm in costume so I forward my calls.” she explained, removing the towel and checking the screen inside the visor. I missed how many calls?!? ”Hey, Sophie.”
Killian nodded. "I see." He replied, picking up some magazines off the floor and setting them on the coffee table neatly.
”Where the heck are you, Jade? You never came home last night. That's not like you.” Sophie complained, worry evident in her voice.
”Geez, I thought you were my roommate, not my mom.” Jade laughed, trying to calm her friend down. ”I’m fine, Soph. I just went for a ride last night and got a flat. Triple-A couldn't help yet, so I found out an old friend lived nearby and crashed there.” she explained.
"Old friend?" Killian echoed, laughing softly at that description. He wondered for a moment if her friend could hear him, then shrugged it off. It didn't really matter if they did or not. At least, not to him.
