Killian looked down at her. "Well, I doubt either of them would ever even bother with me." He replied with a shrug.
Killian looked down at her. "Well, I doubt either of them would ever even bother with me." He replied with a shrug.
Jade chuckled. ”Probably not. Not as long as you stayed a problem within the local area. If you became more ambitious and caused a crisis on a state level, at least.” she smiled, ”For my sake, please don't.”
Killian chuckled. "Mm. I have no interest in the larger scale stuff. Too much work." He grinned teasingly, chuckling.
Jade smirked. ”Good. I don't think I could handle a larger scale as a hero. I’m content with the city.” she chuckled.
Killian laughed softly. "Oh, good." He replied. "So I don't have to feel obligated to go big." He chuckled.
She let out a light laugh. ”I won't mind a challenge but no, you don't have to go too big.” Jade smirked. ”You really are… I mean you've been very nice to me.”
Killian nodded. "Alright." He smiled. "You're welcome. And of course I've been nice; it's a bribe so that you go easy on me." He winked, grinning.
Jade rolled her eyes playfully. ”As long as it's not noticeable to anyone else… I think I can pull my punches a bit but you can't react differently.” she paused, thinking about the repercussions of her next sentence. ”Or… I could even things out socially right now. But you couldn't tell a soul.”
Killian raised an eyebrow slightly. "What do you mean by that last part?" He asked slowly. Her…name? Could she trust me with that? He wondered, looking at her quizzically.
(*Sitting back, legs propped up and crossed, eating popcorn.*
This is getting kinda juicy!)
(lol glad you think so)
She took a steadying breath. ”I know who you are… I know your name. We don't interact as civilians so… If you want to know it; I can tell you mine. Just my first name.”
Killian's eyes flickered. "If you want to, then sure." He replied, lips twitching in a small smile. He went into the kitchen, and grabbed himself a soda. "Want one?" He asked, waving the can in the air.
”Sure. Thank you.” She smiled accepting the drink. ”I think I should tell you. It doesn't seem fair to you otherwise.” she sighed. ”My name is Jade.”
He grabbed another soda for himself. "Oh. That's a nice name. Mine's Killian, but I guess you already knew that." He juggled softly, looking at her.
She smiled with a nod. ”I did but it's nice to hear it from you. Yours is a good name too. I guess this counts as a first official introduction.” Jade chuckled softly.
Killian chuckled, taking a sip of his soda. "Yeah, that's true." He replied. How much digging in my past has she done…? He wondered suddenly. How much does she know?
”Well then, it's nice to meet you, Killian.” She smiled taking a drink of her own beverage. What do we talk about now?
Killian smiled back. "Jade, I…have a question. Exactly how much digging into my past have you done?" He asked slowly, studying her. "How much do you know?"
Jade choked slightly on her soda at his question. ”Excuse me.” she coughed trying to get the bubbles to stop tickling her throat. She wasn't offended by what he said, just caught off guard. ”I didn't really look into much of that. I really only know your name and address… And that you had a juvie record. Mostly small crimes, but definitely started building up to your career as Hex.” she explained a bit awkwardly. ”Sorry.”
Killian nodded. "Oh, alright." He replied slowly. Good. I don't care about the juvie stuff. "I don't really care about the juvie stuff, so don't worry about that." He replied with a shrug, looking away for a moment.
”At least you didn't have the government show up at your front door when you were 6.” Jade smirked remembering the first time she used a computer and got bored as a child.
Killian raised his eyebrows. "Oh? This sounds like an interesting story." He said with a chuckle, looking at her.
Jade blushed. ”I got bored and may have accidentally hacked into the CIA database and corrected a few files.” she admitted not looking at Killian.
"At six?" He replied incredulously. "See, this is why you would make a great villain." He shook his head, chuckling. "You really, really would."
