"Mmm… if we're actually gonna go, we should probably decide a specific day, right? What works for you?" He asked.
"Mmm… if we're actually gonna go, we should probably decide a specific day, right? What works for you?" He asked.
Sol thought for a moment, tilting his head slightly. “I should be free next Thursday and Friday if you want to do it soon.”
Joey nodded a bit. "Yeah, I can ask off on both of those if you wanna stay longer than a day." He smiled softly.
Sol hugged Joey happily. “Sounds good, estello, I can’t wait.” He’d have to tell Krystal where he was going, but she’d be fine with it, and Akali could easily cover any of his jobs.
Joey returned the hug, trilling happily. "Me either! I'm looking forward to it! Should I head back home now?" He asked.
Sol nodded hesitantly, holding Joey close. “I can take you home,” he finally replied.
Joey nodded a bit as well and sat up, stretching and yawning. "On the motorcycle, I presume?"
“My sister left her car here if you’d rather,” Sol offered. “It would probably be better if you’re too tired.”
"Whichever is fine… I don't really mind either way." Joey put the glamour back on his wings so that he could go outside.
“Let’s take the car, then,” Sol said, retracting his wings and rotating his shoulders.
"Sounds good to me." Joey got up off of the couch and ran his fingers through his hair, heading over to the door.
Sol stood, smiling softly, and followed Joey through the door, grabbing his jacket off the back of a chair.
Joey kept close to Sol, getting in the car once he they got to it. "How long will it take to get there from here?"
“Probably fifteen to twenty minutes, depending on traffic,” Sol replied, buckling his seatbelt and looking over at Joey
"Alright, that's fine." Joey buckled himself in and hummed softly, watching out the window.
Sol left the parking area and started to head towards Joey’s apartment. He rested his arm on the middle console and glanced at Joey with a soft smile.
Joey kept quiet until they arrived, opening the door and bowing politely. "Well, thank you very much for the ride home. See you tomorrow!" He grinned and waved, heading into his apartment.
“By, Joey,” Sol said with a smile, waving back. He stayed until he saw Joey get inside, then started to head back to his own apartment, smiling to himself the whole way.
(Just gonna time skip real quick-)
The next day, Joey headed off to work at the bookshop, pulling on his visor with the shop's logo on it before he went inside. He didn't eat breakfast again this morning, and hadn't drank anything either, so he was feeling a bit woozy and unsteady. He tried to keep up his chipper aura around the customers anyway.
(hi, sorry, i’m back)
First thing in the morning, he had to meet his sister at the club to go over some… plans. When he arrived, she wasn’t there yet, so he pulled out his phone to text Akali and Nikora about stopping by the bookshop.
Akali: does this have anything to do with the angel you brought to the club?
Sol: …maybe
Akali: lmaooo count me in
When the customer flow got slow, Joey started organizing the books to make sure they were all in the right order. He found himself getting a bit more tired than usual as he lifted book after book over his head to put it onto a shelf.
After meeting with his sister and sending the others the address of the shop, Sol starting making his was to the bookshop. He was looking forwards to seeing Joey again and might have driven a little faster than was strictly legal. Due to that, he was at the shop in no time, opening the door with a smile.
Joey looked up when he heard the bell and smiled brightly at Sol. "Hey! You came!" He hopped off the stool and ran over to hug him. "Are your friends coming too?" He asked.
Sol laughed and wrapped his arms around Joey. “Yes, they should be here soon,” he said with a smile.
Joey nodded a bit and let go of Sol so that he could resume his organizing. "Well, I can help them find anything if they need me to."
