He smiled softly to himself "okay" he chuckled as he ran his hand over her fur. His wounds hurt like hell and he winced in pain every time he moved. He knew he needed to get home and take care of all of his wounds before he bleeds through the bandages. Yeah they were thick, but not thick enough for the blood to clot in time. He knew Chire wouldn't be happy about Val not coming home either. But he let out a sigh, trying to ignore his worried as he leaned on Val, humming quietly to himself. Something he did quite a bit actually.
Val’s ears perked up at the sound of his humming and tilted her head slightly in intrigue. She nudged herself away and stood up with a yawn. She stretched and trotted in a small circle before walking down the hall to find her bag she had dropped. She got a few weird stares from the nurses and doctors but they probably though she was a big dog. She knew what they were thinking, what was a huge dog doing in the hospital alone? Was she lost? Who’s was she and where was her owner. She wanted to growl at a few who just gawked at her but she kept her mouth shut, following the rules that were set. Pretend to be a dog. If that doesn’t work and people know you’re a wolf, stay calm and don’t interact with anyone unless they try to interact first. She picked up her back by one of the straps by her mouth and walked back over to Min. She shifted and pulled out her phone, texting both Chire and Zizi to let them know she was safe and would come home soon. She glanced up at Min and then at his injuries. “Are you going to home or stay here and get them looked at?”
He stood, a bit surprised to see her just walking down the hall like that, but he didn't say anything. He only stood there and watched until she came back.
"I can handle them myself. I'm not about to come in here with stab wounds. I'll get interrogated. I'm not gonna do that. It'll just be a lot more painful is all." he shrugged, wincing in pain once again from the cut on his shoulder.
"we should get going then" he stretched a little, trying his best not to wince more. Failing at that
She nodded and stood with him, slinging the at over her shoulder. She was going to offer that he go with her to the woods so one of their pack members who had studied in basic medical procedure could help him with his injuries but she also knew Min probably wouldn’t want help from another wolf yet again so she didn’t mention it. Instead she silently took his hand, either for his own or her own comfort she didn’t know. Or care much. She nodded in thanks to the nurses that stayed for the night shift and stepped out into the cool night, watching as a fire truck drive by, tired firman could be seen in the window
Not minding her hand in his one bit while he walked, he held it gently, with care but it was obvious he didn't want to let go by his grip. Soft, not tight but firm.
As they walked down the hall, pass the nurses and out of the door, he watched the firetruck drive by. From that, he guessed the fire was out.
As they walked in the direction of his house, he decided to cut the silence.
"so…. What a day.. Huh" he let out a soft chuckle. He was too awkward for his own good. He was expecting her to slap him and yell at him. His shoulder still hurt from when Chire dug his claws into them, but nothing he couldn't handle. His blood clotted faster than a normal humans, as his blood was cold of course. But it still ran and it still hurt like hell.
She laughed softly and nodded "yeah, great start, not so great ending. Next time I might just steal your bike just for one last hurrah if I knew what came after." She took a deep breath, the coolness of night filling her tired lungs.
"I'm assuming Chire told you a thing or two when he came over? he seemed agitated when he came back to the group." she glanced up at him with an arched eyebrow. She looked at the wound on his shoulder, her suspicions confirmed as she saw slight puncture wounds in a slight arc.
He looked up to the darkened sky, watching his already cold breath float up into the blanket of stars.
It was nearing summer break and he wasnt looking forward to it as much as he thought he would. The class was going to go on a field trip and he wasnt looking forward to that too much either. Of course he wouldnt go. He was a vampire. He was going to turn as red as a boiled lobster out in the merciless heat. Through he did love beaches and stargazing at night. But he could do that here. Well, without the beaches.
But that was in a few months and the school dance was coming up in about a week and he was nervous. Though he decided that he would go to the dance. Hopefully the students weren’t stupid last time. As they picked a stupid princess and prince theme. Whatever the hell it was, he didnt like it.
He knew his sister had fun with it though, so he didnt vocally bash it.
(We should think of what the school dance theme is going to be)
He let out a sigh, thinking back on Chire jumping on him. “Yeah, but its fine. He’s just pissy and sensitive. I mentioned killing a wolf. Yeah, touchy subject i guess. Though he doesn’t know my reasoning and hes pissed.” he scoffed, his usual cocky confidence coming back to him. Though he felt really “exposed” holding her hand. Like a soft boi or something. Usually he didnt like that feeling and always put up a mask, showing everyone how mean he was. But right now he liked it.
(I was thinking masquerade?)
She took a controlled breath when Min mentioned what the reason why Chire had attacked him "Touchy is not a word I'd use to describe his mood. though he did have a good reason to attack you. I'd be more careful the mentioning that around him." she advised, giving him a pointed look "I already told you what happened to our mom. Bringing up killing a wolf, especially since you are what you are, doesn't bring up particularly good memories, especially for him." Her eyes flashed with sadness, both for her lost mother and tortured brother but it was quickly gone when she looked away from Min.
(Oh man! I was going to ask about that XDD)
“Okay okay. My bad” he says giving her hand a soft squeeze. “I wont bring it up. I was just…a bit annoyed.” He shrugged, looking back to her. Trying to read her expression for a split second before she turned away. He read it alright, and man did he feel like a douche bag.
“Okay, well i dont know about you, but i would like this walk to be enjoyable.” He says as he continued to walk, he let go of her hand and slung his arm over her shoulder and pulled her into him a bit. Acting as if nothing had happened. “So….the dance. Did you hear about the theme they picked” he asked with a smile, trying to be optimistic about anything and everything. He had heard from his little sister, you should end the topic lightly so they leave with a good feeling about you. So he was trying his best to turn the topic to more of a light theme.
(This boi’s trying so hard to show his affection but has no idea how to. Lil pound cake ^~^)
(AWWW!!! this poor kid!)
"It's alright, Chire can,,overreact…sometimes. i'm glad he didn't hurt you too bad." Her breath hitched when he slung his arm and her and pulled her close but she managed not to show it too much. Instead she leaned slightly into him as they walked, switching her backpack to the other shoulder and taking his hand that was on her shoulder. She glanced back over to him, glad to be straying away from the sad topic. tilting her head curiously as she looked up at him she shook her head "no, I haven't. I didn't even know they were choosing a theme, I always thought that was reserved for prom and that the rest of the dances were more dark club theme, all the lights shut off so no one could see anyone making out in th corner." she rolled her eyes and shook her head with a laugh "you know it's fancy when they throw in glow sticks and laser lights."
He swore his heart beat faster than it did when he was alive when she leaned into him and laughed.
"God, shes adorable" he thought to himself, thankful he didn't say it out loud. He had to bite his tongue though.
"not with this school" he says taking a deep breath "something like a fancy ass masquerade" he shrugged, loving her being this close to him. He felt so protective over her, he tried his best not to show it though. He didn't want to seem weird and scare her off.
"I think I might go. Im still debating though" he says with a mischievous smile. Oh yeah, he was going to go if she was. He was hoping to ask her to be his "date". But then again this boy was afraid of rejection too much. So he didn't know what to do at the moment.
“Masquerade huh? Sounds like fun.” She mused with a smile of her own as she glanced up at him.
They walked on for a bit in blissful silence, the sky clear above them with a waning moon illuminating their path. She occasionally stole glances over at Min, watching at the moonlight reflected off his eyes and skin, almost giving a slight glowing effect. She squeezed his hand gently, her thumb skimming over his skin in small circles. “At least it’ll give me a reason to wear something fancy again.” She laughed, hinting that’d she’d probably go to the dance
He held in a smile that soon broke out moments after and he had to look away, but he gave her hand a squeeze. "well I guess I'll go." he says with a dramatic sigh.
He debated on how to ask her to go with him, but he decided he would think about it tonight. Maybe make a list? He'll ask her tomorrow. This was a sweet moment, he didn't want to Ruin it with rejection punching him in the gut and beating him to the ground.
She let out a laugh “you almost sound as if you’re excited to go,” She teased with a bright smile. “I’m assuming I’ll have to wait until the night of the dance to know what you’ll be going as?” She shook her head and smiled softly.
“by the way, a girl was asking for you. A tall blonde girl, grey blue eyes. usually surrounded by two other girls. She told me to mention her around you but she never said a name.” She’s shrugged “anyways, she seems interested you.” She glanced up at him in case there was any recognition “can’t see why~” She teased with a smirk
“You’ll have to find out when it comes around” he says happily. He would wink at her if they weren’t in the position they were in. But he wouldn’t change it. No, he wouldn't dare.
“Emily I’m guessing. I thought catching her hair on fire last year would teach her a lesson. Guess not” he says with a sigh. He didn't get her teasing tone and took it quite seriously, so he agreed with her.
“I know right!? Its weird as hell. I don't see why any of these girls flirt with me. Or guys for that matter. Maybe they're just desperate” he shrugged.
She’s arched an eyebrow “you set her hair on fire? And it came back a year later that full and blonde? Wow, do t know which one I’m more impressed with…or horrified.”
She frowned slightly when he took her joke as serious “they find you interesting, and if they knew what you were they’d they honk you’d come right out of a romance book.” She looked up at the sky and sighed softly”you never see what other find beautiful about you.” She said softly
“It was a a little bit. People blew it out quickly. I knew they would. Thats why i did it. I wasnt actually going to burn the chick to death in front of everyone” he laughed a bit, yawning right afterwards though.
He listened to her for a bit until she was done, taking what she said into slight consideration.
“Yeah right. Would you think i came straight out of one of those cliche romance novels?” (The use of the title would be perfect right about now lol) He asks, slowing his pace down a small bit as he relaxed more around her. His arm still around her shoulder, holding her hand and the other in his pocket. It was getting later, but not to a worrisome time. Though that meant it was getting a bit colder. (Hoodie scene???)
(Ahhh yesss!!!)
“Maybe in the beginning.” She admitted, looking at the ground in slight embarrassment. “Not fully Edward Bella scene but it did feel annoyingly similar.” A sharp shiver went down her back as the wind started picking up as the night went by. She thought of shifting into her wolf form to keep warm, especially now that there weren’t so many people out on the streets but she didn’t want to love the feeling of Min’s arm around her or his closeness so she opted to stay human for now, pressing closer to his form.
She silently cursed herself for secreting loving the feeling of Min next to her, secretly cursing him for filling her mind with blissful fantasy. But that’s all it would stay, a fantasy. Nothing more than words that could possibly be written in a book one day for a girl to fawn over
He only chuckled with a soft smile when she said that, not really knowing what to say to her. He felt a bit of heat rise up to his cheeks and he was sure his face had turned pink, but he didn't dare mention that.
When she shivered and pressed closer to his body, he stopped.
Letting his hand slip from hers and letting his arm fall from her shoulder, he took off his jacket. Lifting it up with his t shirt along with it showing his stomach and the tiniest rabbit trail before he pulled it down.
"here, if anything I'll make you colder. So take this" he says handing it to her. Since he was wearing a t shirt his arms revealed a countless number of scars. Cigarette burns and cuts galore. He never mentioned them, but not did he try to hide them as he figure she had already seen them when they were down at the lake.
She didn't dare look up at min when they stopped and he pulled out of the hold they had had on each other. You got too close, you pushed too far and now you've lost him. She shook her head slightly to clear the voice in her mind and blinked in surprise when Min offered her his sweatshirt. She looked at him, now in a short-sleeved shirt and now also exposed tot the cold. She noticed the scars speckling his arms as well as the darker tones of skin which she could only attribute to burn marks. She remembered seeing them before but never as clearly as this. She resisted the urge to reach out a touch the scars and burns, fearing that she'd hurt him. Instead she gratefully too the sweatshirt and pulled it over her head, struggling to find the head hole for a moment before finally popping through, her hair now frizzy and messed up. She pulled her hair into the hood and pulled the hood over her head. "thank you, but won't you get cold too?" she asked, feeling dumb after a few seconds, realizing that Min, being a vampire and all probably wasn't too worried with being cold
He felt her gaze on his scars, but said nothing about it. Only watching as she took the jacket with a small smile. Though when she peeked her head through the top and her hair was all messed up he had to look away. Like actually turn completely away from her as he put his hands over his face. She was too adorable. He couldn't take it.
But he forces himself to and turned back around, taking a deep breath.
"n-no. I'm fine. It's not much colder than I usually am" he says with a small laugh before he ruffled her hair, wrapping his arm around her again and pulling her in, but this time he pressed a kiss to the top of her head "you're adorable" he says before he continued to walk with her at his side, acting as if he didn't just do that
(AhhhHHHhhhhhHHH freaking yesssss!!!!!)
She glared up at him playfully when he ruffled her hair, and wrapped her arm around his waist as they continued to walk, the sleeves of the sweatshirt way too long for her arms and flopping about. She blushed a deep red and covered her face with the neck of the sweatshirt while also looking down, trying to hit it from him as much as possible. She shut her eyes for a moment, thinking that this was a dream and that she'd wake up in her bed. She took a peek and breath a sigh in relief when she was still walking. "You do this to every girl who pulls you out of a burning building and then brings you to a hospital?" she asked, nudging her head gently against his shoulder in appreciation. "I'm not, by the way but thanks."
He rolled his eyes, a smile plastered on bus face. "only the ones I like" he hummed. He felt like he was on an adrenaline rush, as his heart was beating so fast. He could swear he felt his hands shaking, but he didn't dare check. He was actually happy in this moment. Pure bliss flew through his body as he walked with her. He didn't know what this feeling was but he loved it.
"don't worry, you're the first" he says happily, not thanking about what he was saying. He didn't know if he meant romance or just friendship, but he knew she made him feel a way nobody's ever made him feel and he absolutely loved it.
"You mean to tell me you haven't narrowly escaped death for a second time with someone else!? Wow…and here you had me thinking you were a risk taker.' she shook her head teasingly, a small laugh of pure happiness escaping her.
"What are you doing to me Min-Hyuk? First you push me away because of what I am and now you do this? Is this some weird Vampire thing? or just a dude thing?" She asked, an eyebrow raised in question, a small smile on her face as she glanced up at him.
