Once he sensed her presence, he looked up at her from the ground, clenching his stomach.
"I don't know why I couldn't have just texted you" he let out a weak chuckle, obviously suppressing something. Hunger
"guess I just wanted to see you. Anyway, I'm going to the bridge by the edge of town. I'll be back in a little bit but…" he paused, his face turning to a sour expression as he bared his teeth. Not aggressively but obviously in pain.
"if you need me I won't have my phone on me. But I thought I would tell you so you wouldn't nag me" he says taking in a strong breath. The veins around his eyes turning reddish black before he forced it back, disappearing when he blinked. "anyway, I should get going"
No, there was no way hennas going to tell her that he was about to go crazy from starvation and he needed help.. He didn't need help
Val watched him struggle for a bit, whimpering softly whenever he looked pained. She glared at him when he mentioned her nagging him and for a second, thought about letting him suffer a while. Instead, she stood, cautiously nudged his head with her nose and trotted back into the woods, looking for an easy meal for Min to eat to subdue the hunger pains while she brought him back to the bridge.
Coming back with a rabbit, she dropped it in front of him and nudged it towards him with a small bark before heading back into the woods to wait. She’d give him the privacy he needed to eat while keeping some distance between them in case he decided she was a quicker alternative to a meal. She knew she could out run him in the woods for a good few miles, it’d take him a while to maneuver all the trees and crevices that she’d grown up around. She just didn’t know for how long, especially since this vampire was hella hungry. Shaking the thought from her head she stood and meandered around until she could go back and check on Min
He let her think she could actually help him by doing that. The only other animal that would be any substitute would be pigs blood.
But only wanting until she had left to turn away from the rabbit, feeling bad as to leave it there. She had just worked to catch it for him, but he needed human blood. That's what being a vampire was all about. No meat or anything. No other animal blood or else all of every vampires problems would be quickly solved. They wouldn't have to be monsters if they lived like everyone else.
Soon he found himself at the bridge, looking down at the ground below in the rocks and water. It wasn't deep enough specifically in the spot for a body to wash away by the water as it is with the rest of the lake. But water still ran through.
"dammit" he says banging his fist on the metal of the bridge when he saw no body.
Guess he had to go to Cassius after all.
Val came back to the area after what she thought was a long time to drain a rabbit. Instead of a semi healthy Min, she found the abandoned rabbit and drag makings on the ground. She sighed through her nose and reluctantly took the rabbit back to feed the pack with. She shifted and texted Chire to let him know what had happened and that she was coming home. He then texted Min.
“hope you’re doing alright, sorry I couldn’t be more help. Chire along with the rest of the wolves will be posted around town like we planned at school. Is this what they mean by ‘finally meeting the parents?’ Somehow thought it would be under better circumstances. Good luck and please for the love of god don’t die again.”
She shook her head and sighed, shifting and quickly making her way back home to prepare for the long night
They still had about 4 maybe 5 hours until they actually needed to put the plan into action. Though he couldn't help but be worried.
A bit of a Change of heart made him think for a few minutes about what the cops would think killed him. He was sure they would go in the forest and look for the body or whatever killed him.
But if he stabbed him to death, making it seem even close to human, he would be suspected of course. Dragged of to the asylum. He wasn't about to go there. Though he's always been a bit curious as to what it's actually like in there.
As he walked deeper to the woods, he heard a notification "ding" which yeah he did admit, scared the rest of the life he had in him, out of him.
Taking a breath when he realized it was his own phone and he accidently brought it even though he told Val he wasn't going to, he looked at the text stubbornly.
He chuckled at the "die, again" part, but he didn't reply. He was about to when he heard a noise. It was darker in the forest, and no other human should be out here. Was it a wolf? He hoped and prayed not. He really didn't want to kill anymore of Vals kind.
Taking a stance with a glare as his normal grey mirror eyes turned red and he bared his fangs. Something dangerous was here. Was it Val? He hoped for it to be but he knew the chances of that were low
Val got slightly worried when no notifications came through from Min but easily disregarded it as he either didn’t have his phone or he didn’t want to be bothered while feeding. She made it home and went over the procedure once more with Chire before he left early to find wolves that would help. She changed into a simple white too and jeans and headed out to buy flowers and a card for Min’s mom.
Zilia emerged from the tree, teeth bared and her hackles raised. When she saw that it was Min she relaxed slightly though her guard was still raised. She shifted and tilted her head at him “young vampire, I highly doubt you want to eat a stringy old wolf such as myself so I suggest you put those teeth away and cut the glaring.” She’s growled, eyes scanning him “hungry? You young ones never learn.” She tilted her head and started walking “follow.”
He stood up straight and relaxed immensely when the familiar wolf emerged.
"oh sorry" he says sarcastically "this deep in the woods, what're you even doing here anyway? You know what, it doesn't matter. I'm not following you. I'm not accepting any more help but you dogs than Vals forcing on me" he hissed before turning and walking away. "now if you would excuse me, I have some business with an old friend. If you could leave That'd be great" he says with an attitude as always. He was pissed and henwasnt going to let some hag get in his way.
Soon, coming to an old house. More like a mansion actually, he knocked on the door.
A tall silhouette of a man stood from the red curtains draped over the tall windows before the door opened.
A dark-skinned man, talk with one luminous yellow eye and the other a beautiful green. Blonde hair and an oh so friendly face as a smile appeared on the man's face, revealing his deadly fangs.
"Min-Hyuk! Oh its so nice to see yo-oh dear, are you-" the man paused. His voice soft and sweet with an old accent that some would call British. Min let out a soft smile to see his old friend as he stepped inside, his pain growing more and he could tell.
"Cass, you have any more of those bags? Or whatever you do with the blood." he looked up to him, eyebrows creased together in pain as the Cassius had him sit down on his couch in front of a fireplace in his redcarpeted living room.
The man disappeared but soon came back with a bag of frozen blood. He put the bag itself in a pot of boiling water on the stove. After only a few minutes Cass poured it into a mug "oh, would you like marshmallows?" he joked in which Min only chuckled before smelling the blood. Restraining himself to not be rude.
Cass handed Min-Hyuk the mug which he quickly drank. And after a few minutes the whole bag was gone.
The man adjusted the collar to his bottom up and sat on his own seat in front if the fireplace. "that should keep you going for a while until you find something else. I have some coconut water that you can take along with you!" he says with a bright smile as Min just looked confused. "wait, you don't know!? Coconut water is not only extremely good and healthy for humans and vampires, it can be a good substitute for human blood. In a few hospitals, they've dint emergency blood transfusions and used coconut water." he says with a smile.
"wait…. Nevermind, I'm not asking anymore questions. I'll take one if that's alright. I need to leave as soon as possible but you have no idea how thankful I am to you. Really. Thank you"
Val glanced up when Zilia padded up to her near the lake. “That vampire boy of yours is so rude.”
“He’s not my anything except for friend. He can have his low points, I’m assuming being blood hungry triggers his attitude along with a few other things,” she laughed softly and leaned against her grandmother “thanks for checking on him.”
“Of course pup. I’m happy to watch over an ungrateful blood sucker.” She said sarcastically, glancing down at Val with a pointed look
“Yeah, sorry about that.”
"well I should get going. I have a few plans" he says running his fingers through his hair before reaching for the door knob. "oh hey, how's that boyfriend of yours?" Cass asked innocently with a smile. Min-Hyuks face turned red and he bit his lip a bit. "hes not my boyfriend." he mumbled stubbornly. "wait, you were into him for the past like.. Three years weren't you?!"
"yeah… He's dating my sister. I helped him actually. He doesn't like me like that so I gave up" Min said with a sigh, looking away a bit before turning his gaze back to the tall man.
"there was no point in trying anyway. To get him, or anyone. I don't deserve love" he says with a small laugh Shaking his head before opening the door.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know." Cass held the door open for him. "everyone deserves love. Even us Min. You'll find it. Just don't push everyone away and you might. Now go hang out with your friends or whatever you do" he says ruffling his hair with his big hand. Cass was like a father Min-Hyuk never had (he's the epitome of daddy issues tbh)
"okay old man" he smiled and stepped through the door "hey! I'm only 217!" Cass says stubbornly as Min walked away.
Shutting the door with a small laugh, Cass turned the stove off and went to washing his dishes in his lonely big house that he's been taking care of for so long and Min-Hyuk made his way back while he rang up Val on the phone.

Val had started humming the songs she had been learning in class to her grandmother, smiling as the older she-wolf shifted and settled next to her granddaughter. Val petted her head gently and started to add words to the song "*wake up~, stay with me~, through the flood and…through the fea, right I need you here, i need you to stay strong to remind me where i cam from and where I belong….~" she glanced over at her phone and walked off so as to not disturb her grandmother "You better have a good excuse for snapping at my grandmother like that, she was only trying to look out for you." she started, crossing her arms and trying to sound cross with min "I assume you filled up?"
He was actually in quite good of a mood when he heard her voice, though the smile on his face turned to confusion then to slight annoyance mixed all with happiness. "I didn't snap at her. I just told her I didn't need her help. I was trying not to instinctively attack her. Oh yeah, you're welcome by the way" he rolled his eyes as he walked through the forest. "anyway, yeah. I met up with a friend. Cass. You would have liked him. He's pretty hot" he says jokingly. Well, a bit. Yeah, to Min too. Cassius was pretty hot. Tall dark and handsome, a gentleman with a bright fanged smile. Built and muscled with a hell of a jawline and those eyes would easily lure his prey in with one longing look.
Min-Hyuk shook himself from his thoughts as his face turned a bit red before he cleared his throat. "anyway, yes. Well not filled. I only got about half of a gallon. But it'll keep me going for a few more days. So it gives me time to find someone. Don't worry, my breath doesn't smell of blood." he licked his lips and thought for a second before hanging up the phone and stepped into sight of Val through the trees while running his tongue over his fang. "more minty than anything" he smiled mischievously
val rolled her eyes at min's comments "I'm sure he's great, And if under better circumstances, i would've loved to meet him, especially knowing that another Vampire lives within the woods." She glanced up when her grandmother sat up and tilted her head. "Min" she mouthed. Her grandmother rolled her eyes playfully and hopped down from her perch. "first off, how does a half a gallon not fill you up? and second, I did not need to know about how your breath smells after drinking blood." he dropped the phone from her ear and glared at Min as he walked into the clearing. Damn whoever in the universe decided to make vampires universally gorgeous…. With a sigh she tried to keep her composure "Chire texted not so long ago, he has 10 wolves ready. He'll probably get 15 by tonight. Think that's enough?"
He almost jumped back at the lady's hostility, but only took a step back. "damn, didn't know you were here. The smell of bloods still hovering over my nose" he crossed his arms. Once the smell of blood is prominent to him it stayed like that for about thirty minutes. He just heard her voice and knew where to go in order to find her.
"and I have absolutely no idea how it doesn't fill me up. I suck my victims dry every meal. And anyway, I haven't eaten in two month" he rolled his eyes "anyway" he turned back to Val with a sigh. Annoyance written all over his face. He really didn't need this lady nagging and yelling at him. Not right now at least. His senses were off and he had a terrible headache.
"thank you. Thats more than enough. Really." he says ruffling her hair causally. "I appreciate it. Really" he says softly, thinking about what Cassius said earlier.
val flinched at the word victims and made an effort to try not to back away "Hold the hell up, you called me over half dying on the side of the road, knowing that you could have easily snapped and used me as a food source?! wow….I'm having way to many close calls with you Min…." he pinched the bridge of her nose with her index finger and thumb to try to calm the building pressure. All the planning and stresses of the day finally catching up to her, from what was going on tonight, to the girls in school, to Min almost dying of hunger and now the snarky comments coming from bother her grandmother and a vampire.
She glanced up when Min ruffled her hair, trying to surprise a growl. She knew he meant well and was genuinely trying to thank her which she found truly surprising coming from him of all people.
"You're welcome," she mumbled, still having a hard time keeping her instincts and emotions in line. After a few moments of deep breathing she straightened up a bit more "thank yo for tolerating her," he gave a teasing wink to her grandmother "and for letting us help."
He removed his hand from her soft hair, though he didn't want to and shoved them in the pockets of his sweatshirt and looked away. "I had no choice anyway" he says going there again with the tsunudere mojo. Taking a deep breath in, he felt bad for what he was putting her through. If he didn't let her help him she wouldn't be stressed like this. But it couldn't be helped.
"oh and" he turned back to her with a serious tone. "I would kill myself before I hurt you. Remember that." he says looking back to her, a sharp,
geneuine look in his eyes as he held her gaze.
Zilia sat down, now very intrigued by the two's interaction but she chose to stay quiet, much to Val's relief. She held his gaze steadily, her amber eyes holding his grey ones. "I will, thank you Min." she looked away first and took a deep breath, her heart in her throat. She practically jumped out of her skin when she received a message on her phone. "Chire found the rest of them and they've agreed to help. So far we have 6 beta's, 5 warriors, me, Chire and Zizi." she sat on the rock and pulled out a piece of paper. She roughly drew out a map of the town and drew in town lines. 4 circles represented 4 wolves near the rentable marked hospital. "3 will be posted outside, I'll be inside. the rest of the wolves will be scattered throughout the middle of town, Chire will be at your friend's house and most of the betas will be closer to your house."
He listened to her plan as he sat beside her, nodding with everything she said.
"okay, that's more than enough" he laughed lightly as he ran his finger over his lips lightly, his chin resting in his palm.
"let's just hope he's in the house so I can quickly do it. Though I'm sure it won't be that easy" he shook his head.

"would he normally be somewhere else?" she asked, forgetting to take into consideration Nathan's whereabouts. "hopefully he will be, otherwise this plan won't work." she tapped her pen on the notebook anxiously. "we could always go early to scope the town out to make he doesn't go to the hospital early." she suggested, making an alternate plan on another sheet of paper. "we can hold him off here if we get there in time if he does choose to come after your mom. We'll get exposed but we'll deal with it…hopefully." she honestly didn't know what the wolves would do if the town found out about another attack, especially against a seemingly innocent man in the town's eyes.
"okay. I did lock him in the bathroom, but he's probably broken out by now. Well if he's awake. He was drunk and I knocked him out" he says biting the tip of his thumb while he thought about it.
"okay we should be good to go" he nodded. He was actually pretty excited for this. It was like a cool adventure or something stupid like that. He liked being around Val anyway. And he was Finally getting rid of this bastard.
Standing up he took a breath in and looked down at her, offering his cold hand to help her up. "we've got this" he says confidently
She glanced u and gratefully took his hand "lets hope so. Once the group gets here, we'll head out and start patrolling the area. keep your phone with you and on. I'll let you know when everyone is where they need to be or if anything changes all of a sudden." She squeezed his hand gently, this time not letting go to take his keys or anything sneaky like that. She took a deep breath to calm her rain heres. To be honest she wanted a fight, she needed a good tousle with an asshole. She'd love to sink her teeth in someone's flesh, just to hear them scream in mercy. Shaking the thought from her head she suppressed her wild tendencies for now and glanced over at the lake
He was a bit surprised when she squeezed his hand and didn't actually let go. Though received. Wait… He was holding her hand…
His head spun around along with his cold hard when he looked down at their hands. He was really holding someone's hand. Vals hand!?
He tried his very best to ignore it as he kept a hold of her hand. It was so warm and soft and if fit so perfectly it his. Oh he loved it.
But of course that's not what he was thinking. He wasn't normally the romantic type.
But she did weird things to his feelings he didn't know was possible.
"Uh.. Y-yeah" he mumbled, glancing down at their hands once again.

Val glanced up when she heard a low howl ring throughout the forest, followed by a few more. She gently pulled away from min and shifted, throwing her head back in a powerful howl as she met up with her brother near where all the wolves started filing in. All of them greeted val with head nudges and playful barks. They also all glared at min and kept their distance from the vampire. Zizi seemed to be the only one will to get close. Val walked over to Min and gently nudged him forward before shifting once more and going over the plan once more with the group.
(he will not. Unless it's yoinked out lol)
Min was snapped out of his swirl of butterflies and thoughts in his mind when she pulled away. "oh" escaped his cold lips before she changed.
He felt left out and quite rejected by everyone as they glared. He was used to it though, so he didn't let it show. They were enemies after all.
He found himself wanting her hand in his again but tried his best to shake the feeling off. Yeah it didn't work.
He stood and listened, watching everyone's mannerisms. He found himself a bit nervous, tapping his finger his side, keeping his breathing calm. He wasn't around a lot of people usually, but he still did have a lot of anxiety. So everyone around him, eyes on him. Glaring.
He didn't like it one bit, but he stood his ground with confidence in his eyes.
(now I tis concerned for the baby…)
The wolves gathered around their Alpha and his sister to hear the plan, nodding along and growling responses to a few things Val said. She glared up when one barked a laugh and let out a growl which shut the male up quickly. Chire was impressed and nodded along to Val's ideas, proud of his little sister. He watched min and tilted his head. How was a vampire able to keep calm among those who would rather see his corpse that a living breathing body. He found it odd that he seemed comfortable when Val was around, though he guessed that was a given since they were spending so much time together. He perked up again when val opened the discussion to anyone and glanced around. He waited a few more moments before shaking his massive head in a 'no.' Val nodded and faced Min "anything we should know before heading out?" she asked, fidgeting with her hands as she anxiously awaited the time to leave
Taking a deep breath as he caught Chires gaze for a second before flicking back to Val, he spoke. His voice soft and calm, as vampires voices had that effect. Helping them with manipulation along with plenty of other ways theyve adapted in order to survive. His voice soft yet confident in what he was saying.
“I mean, it shouldn’t be hard to kill him. From what i know, he doesn’t know what i am or even the fact that we exist all together. So he wouldnt have any majorly effective weapons to take us down. I dont think we would need this many….” he paused. Feeling more than threatened by everyone around him. Even a little by Val, but he tried not to show it.
“Um..wolves” he stammered for a split second “but… I appreciate the fact that you guys are willing to help me. You guys can trust me” he nodded, his eyes flicking back to Val. “I think thats all. I assume you told them where my house is?” He asked, not liking the idea one bit. Wolves knowing where he lived? He didnt even like human beings knowing. Let alone his enemies.
