A slow grin spread over his lips as he saw her slight blush. "Immensely." Something was odd about Jynna. With most girls he kissed, he was satisfied. He had gotten what he wanted and it was on to the next girl, trying to break her walls down too. It was all a game to him to keep him entertained.
But when he kissed Jynna, all he felt was a want for more. It was different, and it intrigued and terrified him.
He licked his lips as if to taste hers again, staring down at her and trying to solve the puzzle that was Jynna. How had she gotten through his walls so easily? They took years to build, and each girl he played with only taught him how to reinforce them even more.
The blush grew slightly and she felt a small grin appeared on her face as she bit her lip, her gaze falling on his lip ring and lips before looking back up at his green eyes. "Then I guess I did my job, tell me if any sandwiches decided to attack you again."
"Will do, Princess." His phone buzzed in his pocket and he knew it was Magnus telling him to come home–and return his truck. He leaned over and kissed Jynna's cheek. "Sorry, but I have to go. Maggie wants his truck back." He winked. "See you later."
"Sounds good," She said, glancing around her home, "I'll probably just be cleaning so you can just come in if you want." Jynna slipped out from under his arms and smiled, running a hand through her hair, "See ya."
He let himself out with a wave, then hopped in the truck and started it as he got out his phone to answer Magnus. 'I'm coming home, grumpy pants. No need to get your panties in a twist.'
(Do you mind if I do a time skip to Monday? I have an idea for then since Rhydar transferred to Jynna's school without telling her, and I doubt they'd spend time together every day.)
(Go ahead, I don't think they'd spend time together every day either. Do you want me to respond again quick or are you just going to post again?)
(Time Skip: Monday morning at school)
The students were abuzz with the news: A new transfer student. Rumors were already flying around that it was one of the bad boy players of their rival school. That he was transferring because he got into a fight and was expelled from his old school. That he had slept with every girl and wanted something new.
No one knew his name, however.
Some were throwing around the pretty boy blonde Wayde Hendrickson–captain of the Blue River football team. Others said the dark and brooding Avery Wilcox. A select few suggested Zachary Cole–the top bad boy that got into fights every two seconds.
No one had a clue that it was Rhydar. And he smiled to himself as he blended into the crowd and searched for Jynna, the hood of his sweatshirt pulled over his face.
When Monday rolled around and Jynna heard the rumors she immediately did her best to dismiss them, knowing the identity of whoever it was would be found out. This school did have its ways with learning every little detail about anything. The rumors she was more worried about were the ones about Will. The little snippets of conversation she had heard on campus had suggested something big was going to happen this week, but even the rumors didn't seem to say anything about wether what was going to happen was good or bad.
The campus was surprisingly crowded today she decided as she did her best to push through the small groups of people talking in the grassy area between the main buildings so she wasn't late for class. Having a American History class early in the morning meant she was usually running behind, and today was one of the days she was running behind. A giant thermos of coffee and a hastily thrown together outfit was her attire, complete with a set of headphones over her ears which were blaring music as she took a short break from pushing through the crowds in the center of the green space.
Hands clamped around her eyes as lips hovered next to her ear; the brush of cool metal against her skin. "Boo," a male voice whispered.
She froze for a moment before realizing who it was and calming down. "Rhydar?" She paused her music and a small but confused smile appeared on her face, "What are you doing here? Don't you have school?"
He slipped his hands off of her eyes and shoved them in his hoodie pocket. "I am at school," he said, a smile working its way up his lips.
"You don't go here though..unless…" Jynna's smile grew, "Wait, are you the transfer student everyone's been talking about?" Her class was going to start in a few minutes but she ignored that fact, talking to Rhydar was more fun than class anyway.
"Mmmmmmhhhmmm." He grinned at her. "Filled out the paperwork a few days before we met. It's fun hearing who everyone thinks I am–while I'm standing next to them and they have no clue."
She laughed lightly and nodded, "That would be fun, I've heard a few different guesses of who's the transfer, but non of them were even close to you in any way." Taking a sip of her coffee she looked him over, "I like your outfit by the way, it's cool."
"It's comfy," he corrected matter-of-factly. It was just a hoodie and jeans that he threw on hastily. "And you look great as always." First day of a new school, and he was talking to a girl instead of going to class. Not a bad way to spend his time, actually. He quirked this pierced brow. "Shouldn't you be getting to class?"
"I should be, but I'm talking to you." Checking her phone to see the time, she cursed, "My class is starting in two minutes, I gotta go, what class do you have?" She looked over at the oldest of the buildings on campus -where the history and more of the random classes were held- then at the people in the way to get to her class, "Well, I'm not getting through that quickly, I can be late, I don't care."
"American History," he said, following her gaze. "If I recall correctly, it's across that sea of people. I'm going to take a wild guess and say that that's where you're going too?" He smirked at her last statement. "Well, my assumption that you are a goody-two-shoes has been proven incorrect."
She nodded and then rolled her eyes, "That's where I'm going yes, ans I can be a goody two shoes, but times like right now, I could care less." Jynna shrugged, "If I'm going to be late I might as well be super late, unless you need to get there on time for some strange reason."
He shrugged. "I'd rather skip if I'm being honest." He winked at her. "And if I'm skippin' with you, all the better." He hated history. It was so boring. He couldn't care less when some old dude signed a paper saying 'You shall not drink–but I can! Shut up, I'm boss here!'
"We can skip, I'm down for it." A small grin appeared on her face and she looked around, "Now we just need to find something fun to do." History was actually pretty interesting to her but every so often skipping a class was fun, and her brain got a break from memorizing the names of old people and what they did.
He stepped closer to her as people shoved through. "Well. I just got here, so I don't know if there's anything fun to do on campus. Besides the obvious, of course." A Cheshire grin on his face at the insinuation.
She blushed slightly and looked at the buildings, not responding but not completely dismissing the idea as she looked for something they could do. The buildings didn't give her any ideas, she used to be able to sneak to the tops of several of them and look around, but now they had cameras up there, and she didn't want to get expelled for climbing to the top of a building.
"Hmm," he looked around as well. The crowd was slowly trickling away until they were practically alone. "How about I treat you to some ice cream? As a thank you for lunch?" He looked down at her, not backing away despite having the room to do so. He was still trying to figure her out–how she fit into his life. But he would be kidding himself if he denied liking the close proximity.
