"That's a good question," She laughed, petting Dani one last time before turning towards the cottage for ice cream and to put away the sugar cubes.
"That's a good question," She laughed, petting Dani one last time before turning towards the cottage for ice cream and to put away the sugar cubes.
Nat had put the ice cream on one of the picnic tables, spoons and napkins already set out for them. Rhydar reached for the sugar cubes. "I know where they go." He jerked his chin at the ice cream. "You go ahead and get started." He then quirked his lip as a thought came to him. "Last one to finish has to do whatever the other one says for the rest of the day."
A small grin appeared on her face, "Alright, be prepared to lose though." Jynna looked up at him and nodded towards the shed, "You better get going, I'm going to win otherwise." She said before starting towards the picnic table at a light jog.
He flashed her a smirk and jogged over to the shed, stashing the sugar cubes before chasing after Jynna. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her to a halt. "I don't think so," he teased, lowering his head so he spoke into her ear.
She squeaked lightly and felt a light shiver run through her when his arms wrapped around her waist and spoke in her ear, grinning anyway. "Are you trying to get there before me so you can win?" Jynna asked, placing her arms on top of his.
"Maaaayyybe, " he purred. Her body was flush against his, and he really wasn't thinking about ice cream at the moment. He resisted the urge to circle his thumbs over her stomach.
"Hmm," She hummed in response, "Do you want to make this a fair race? We can both go sit down and then see who wins." Being this close to him was really testing her self control and she tried to focus on anything besides how close he was.
"Hmm," he echoed, resting his chin on her shoulder. "I dunno. Kinda ruins the fun of the race." Breathing in her scent was driving him nuts, and he was really close to saying screw it and pull her into that shed and kiss her again. And again. And–
He mentally shook his head to erase those thoughts. Just a fling, he tried reminding himself. Nothing more.
He wasn't doing a great job of making his body think that.
Jynna glanced over at him, "I dunno either, the only thing I know right now is that my ice cream is right over there basically calling to me." she also knew she wanted to spin around and kiss him at that moment, but she didn't mention it.
He grinned at her. "Then you'd better run," he whispered. He loosened his hold on her but didn't let go completely, both unwilling to and wanting to make her fight for her win.
"You better as well Prince, I don't give up winning easily." She took a step forward and grinned. "Good luck." She said before starting towards the table again.
He gave her five seconds before he broke into a sprint. He was really good at running–having run from the cops and other people he pissed off for years. Soon enough, he made it to her side.
When he caught up to her she looked over for a moment before focusing back on the table. Once she got to it she grabbed her ice cream and started eating, not bothering to sit down, just hoping she didn't get a brain freeze as she ate.
He did the same, nearly choking on a laugh at how quickly she was eating her ice cream. It would be nice to savor the flavor, but a race was a race. He winced as he felt a brain freeze coming up.
A smile made its way onto her face as she watched him, causing her to slow down slightly. The ice cream was quite cold and she could feel a brain freeze appear as she scooped up another bite.
He glanced over to her and spoke through a freezing cold bite. "Don't stop now, or I'll end up winning," he teased.
"Oh shut it," She grinned lightly but pressed her eyes shut when the brain freeze took effect, "Coldddd." As much as she didn't want to she had to stop for a moment to let the cold dissipate before starting to eat again, knowing he would probably win.
He winced again as the brain freeze settled, but he wasn't a quitter. He kept eating the ice cream, determined to win. However, the cold got to him and he had to stop. He leaned forward on his elbows as he massaged his temples. "Shit, that's really cold."
(Sry it's short I gtg and I won't be back on for a few hrs)
Jynna laughed lightly and nodded, almost done with the ice cream and desperately hoping another brain freeze wouldn't form.
(It's okay!)
He groaned when he saw she was beating him. There was no way in hell he would get past her at this point. He'd overestimated his tolerance for the cold and was paying dearly for it. I wonder what she's gonna have me do…
After a few more freezing cold bites she was done, dropping the spoon and container back on the table with a triumphant smile. She immediately started thinking about what she could have Rhydar do, a small grin on her face until she remembered she had other classes that day.
"Dammit!" He whined dramatically, leaning back in his seat and not bothering to wolf down his ice cream anymore. "Welp, I guess I'm at your mercy. What say you, my Princess?" He had forgotten about school, and looked to Jynna with his head cocked to the side.
She shrugged and looked over at him, "I have school today, so if I choose I'd have to choose to go to my classes," A light grin appeared on her face, "How about this, I have two things that I choose. One, I'm gonna take the rest of your ice cream if your done, and two, you have to choose what we do the rest of today so I don't have to go back to class."
He rolled his eyes with a smile. "Using me as an excuse to not go to school. Wow." He slid his ice cream over to Jynna for her to finish. "Well, I already said we could go riding." He opened his mouth to add something else but closed it again. "Anything else you like to do?" he asked instead. He originally wanted to suggest heading on down to the lake and swim for a bit, but the more rational side of his mind thought otherwise.
She shrugged and the grin grew, "I'd rather spend time here with you instead of at school, at least today." Picking up him ice cream she grabbed her spoon and started eating it, this time not scarfing it down, "Riding sounds fun, the only other thing I can think of that sounds fun is giving you another kiss." As soon as she said it her face heated up and she realized what she had said, she hadn't been focused on talking and her brain had just spit out what it wanted to do.
