I dunno, I just want a romance filled rp with a bit of whump-y stuff, anyone want to join? I have no real plot or setting or anything like that, I'm open to ideas though
Rules:
-LGBTQ+ are allowed, though my character is a straight girl just to give you a heads up
-this is going to be rated at the very very least PG-14 because of smut and steamy scenes along (the smut and steamy stuff would be taken to the PM's tho)
-swearing is allowed
-please, please, please post at least two sentences, I don't like being the one leading the whole rp, make your character do something and you are free to introduce minor characters if you want/need something for your character to do
-If I already am in an (active) one-on-one with you I'd ask you to not join unless no one else does
-I have the right to say no to you, or to ask for you to give an example of your style of rping before I let you join(It doesn't mean I don't like you or have something against you if I say no, I promise)
-please be active, one post a day is the minimum unless you tell me ahead of time that you won't be on
-I'll add more rules if someone joins along w/ a template
Read the rules and make sure you're ok with everything I listed before asking to join
Could I join? Just a heads up, romance isn't exactly the easiest for me to write since I'm a single loner :/ but I'm trying to improve.
XD I'm a single loner as well so I get what you mean, I'm just trying to get my romance writing skills better since I usually write a lot of action, could I see a sample of your style quick?
Like, a snippet of a different rp? Sorry if it sounds like a dumb question. I'm running on 5 hours of sleep.
Yeah, just a basic response you would give to a rp, I can give you a little snippet thing if you want and they just answer how you would normally. I'm just curious about your style.
The snippet for me would be best, if that's not too much trouble.
No problem!
"Are you sure this is safe?" Lilly's voice wobbled slightly as she looked down the side of the building they were on, clearly nervous, "That's a long way down, and I'd prefer not to become a pancake today."
Jasper chuckled and grabbed her hand with a wink. "You'll be fine if you just trust me." He gently pulled her closer to him, away from the edge. "I won't let you fall on my watch." He put on his best this totally doesn't bother me look to hide just how terrified he was of heights.
Depending on some situations, I'll either put more or less, though my replies are generally this size.
Alrighty! I'll get a template quick unless you want to jump in blind, we also have to figure out what the setting for this is going to be (Preferably something that can accomodate whump-y stuff, I'm not picky otherwise) And then we can start
I usually jump in blind if that's okay with you. As for the setting… I haven't got a clue.
Jumping in blind sounds alright with me :) About the setting, do you usually like more realistic stuff, fantasy, historic, post apocalyptic or futuristic? We can probably narrow it down from there
I usually do either realistic or fantasy.
Alrighty, I'll try to think about some ideas that we could use, give me an hour or so and I'll post the ideas I have
alright; here are my ideas (I got them off some websites cuz I was really busy)
-two clans can wield different elements, or something like that, maybe royalty, or a battle between the two, something (Fire, water, earth, air, ect.)
-A war left the people of her kingdom stranded on a tethered island in the clouds, something like that
-An angel or someone gets kicked out of heaven, (it's cliche I know)
-When something tragic happens, it’s often said people lose a piece of ourselves, Their task is to travel through different lifetimes to find these lost parts of self to be whole again, meet someone along the way, you get the gist
These are the more realistic ones
-They are straight-up enemies… He wants to buy the land to build a resort, and she wants it to get turned into a nature sanctuary, something like that
-He was faking it at first… he made a bet that he could bed her, or pretended to like her so he could learn her secrets and be the journalist who broke the story
-She was stuck with him… he’s a partner on a job when she wanted to do it by herself, or he rescued her when she was actually pretty happy where she was. She doesn’t want to admit she’s actually falling for him.
-He’s a danger to her safety… because he’s a spy, a vampire, or something like that.
-Her town is the worst and she really can’t leave. Can he really resign himself to living in New York City, when his cowboy heart longs for Montana skies?
-He loves her, but she doesn’t know him… maybe he knows her from an alternate universe, or maybe she has amnesia.
I like the one where he was faking it, but maybe the girl asked him to be her fake boyfriend to get a jealous ex off her back or something? Probably cliche, but that's what popped in my head.
Sure! now that we got that figured out are you ready to start? I can post a starter unless you really want to
I'm no good at starters, so have at it
Sounds good, give me a minute and it'll be right up
Jynna ran a hand through her long blonde hair, silently planning what she should do. Her ex, Will, was knocking at the door of her apartment and it was clear that she was home, but if she let him in there was no way she could stop him if he tried anything. Seeing that she was only a little taller than average and only had a little muscle on her otherwise lean figure he could easily take her down. Will on the other hand was a decently strong guy, with the height to match. She blew out a small breath and shook her head, turning off the radio and deciding that the best thing she could do right now was try to wait for him to leave.
Rhydar was walking home from a late-night "adventure" that may or may not have involved spray painting graffiti all over the walls of a building. He spun one of the multiple rings on his fingers, biting the small hoop lip ring as well. Double eyebrow piercing and lots of earrings as well, messy hair that said 'I just rolled out of bed and am too cool to style it but it still looks good, oh woe is me,' and bright, mischievous emerald green eyes all screamed trouble. He was tall and lean, about 6 foot 3. He had thieves' fingers, long and slim and perfect for pickpocketing. He passed by a house where a probably drunk dude was banging on the poor person's door. Not my problem. He flipped the paint can and caught it midair, smiling slightly to himself as he thought about his nightly escapades.
(Question, how old are we making our characters?)
(Jynna is 21, so around there somewhere?)
Eventually the pounding at the door began to irritate her and she ran a hand through her hair once gain, storming to the door with a face that said she was pissed. "Idiot…drunk.." She muttered fiercely, pulling her hair back and putting it into an expert ponytail. Her mind was fighting with her body at this point, trying to get her to turn around and go back inside as she unlocked the door and swung it open, looking up at the face of her ex. "Get the hell out of here Will." She growled, not noticing the guy walking by, "We're done. And you smell like the inside of a bar."
Rhydar tilted his head, inspecting the paint can as if he was interested in its contents. He was no hero, but a damsel in distress wasn't something he could just pass up. Women loved that shit. He listened in on their conversation, waiting for the perfect opportunity to swoop in.
"Jynna.." His words were slurred and he looked like he had been drinking for quite a while, "Just let me have one more chance..?"
She crossed her arms and stood her ground, "No. You had one chance. Go find someone else to bother." It was a decently warm out but she shivered, having only a pair of shorts and a thin t-shirt on. Her eyes darted around and she stumbled backward when he reached out a hand and pushed her backward closer to her apartment.
He frowned at her words, "C'mon, one last night? All of my stuff is still here."
"You're drunk Will, get the hell away from me. We're not hooking back up, I gave you your stuff two weeks ago." She was furious at this point and did her best to push him backwards, not getting him any farther away from herself even with a strong shove.
