He already had enough. He was a troublemaking prick in his own right, but even he had standards. He jogged up to the house and grabbed the guy's shoulder, pulling him back from the angry girl he was harassing. "Aye, mate. Lay off. You've quite clearly had a few too many tonight, and when a pretty girl says no, it doesn't secretly mean 'Take me now.' Learn to take a hint, will ya?"
He snuck a look at the girl and was satisfied with his guess that she was pretty. Blonde hair and a rocking bod to go with it, exposed to the cool midnight air by her current attire.
Will clearly was annoyed when he was pulled away and he looked over the new guy with a clear drunk scowl, "Who are you? You looking for a fight, twig? Cuz' I don't think I gave you permission to interfere over here, we were just having a conversation."
A small look of relief covered Jynna's face for a moment before she looked between her ex and the guy who had stepped in, hoping that this didn't end too badly. "This was not a conversation Will, you're drunk and need to leave." She took a half step backward and crossed her arms over her chest, making a mental note to thank him when this was over. Her turquoise blue eyes studied the new guy carefully, noting his striking green eyes and various piercings.
Rhydar flashed a toothy grin. "I don't get permission from nobody. And twig I may be, but I'm pretty sure I could knock your ass out in the state you're in right now." He slipped between the guy and the girl, forcing the drunkard back even farther. "You heard the pretty lady. Be a good little doggy and skat." He smirked, shaking the paint can behind his back. The dude was likely too drunk to even notice what he was planning.
"And I don't take orders from nobody," He growled, getting angrier by the second, "So how 'bout you go slip off and avoid the ass beating that I'm about to give you right now." Will took a step closer to him and Jynna could once again smell the stink of her very drunk former boyfriend.
She glanced at the can of spray paint behind the new guys back and a small smile twitched on her lips before she forced it to disappear, not wanting to ruin his plan. Jynna watched the two of them carefully, almost wanting to tell her ex to leave once again but also wanting him to get what he deserved.
Rhydar's smirk grew and he turned to wink at the girl. "Too bad. At least I get to have some fun." Quicker than the drunkard could detect, he pulled up the can and sprayed the paint all over the guy before sucker punching him in the gut with his left hand. While he was down, he chucked the can and pulled the drunkard in a headlock, forcing him away from the girl to prevent any stray punches clipping her. "What'cha gonna do now, Willy?" he snickered. Skinny as he looked, he was strong. And sneaky. The trick was throwing your opponent off guard and giving yourself the upper hand before they could throw any punches.
Will`made a sound between a growl and a yell as he got sprayed then punched, "You little punk, I'm gonna beat your ass." He fought against the headlock but was too drunk and off guard to do much else besides struggle, though he did try to get a few good hits on the new guy with another growl.
Jynna stayed a good distance away from the two of them, cheering for the guy who had interfered in her head. Will deserved to be knocked out several time in her opinion but then she'd get questions about what happened, which would not be good.
Rhydar grunted with each punch the guy managed to land, then threw him off. He backed away, tapping his rings together as he formulated an on-the-spot plan. He wasn't good with those. He was more of a reckless, impulsive fighter. So we went impulsive. He charged the dude and swung at his face, the rings along his knuckles gleaming in the moonlight and seeming eager to draw some blood. His other hand was ready to wrap around the guy's torso so Rhydar could keep him in place while he knocked the shit out of him.
The hit to Will's face landed and he grunted, cuping the side of his face in his hand and swinging wildly at the guy. "Bastard." He huffed, "I'm gonna break you in half twig." Will was too drunk to have a plan and at this point he was just throwing around words and wild punches, trying to seem like he was going to win.
As the fight got worse Jynna took a step forward, biting her lip and trying to decide if it was worth it to step in. More than likely if she tried to intervene she would get hit with a stray punch, which wouldn't be good, but she also didn't want to have to deal with getting someone to take her ex back home. Even his buddies knew enough to not deal with him after he had a few to many to drink.
(Sorry, got a shower)
Rhydar didn't say anything, just grabbed Will and swung his body around so he was behind. He locked both his arms around the dude's throat, cutting off his airways. "That's it. Time for sleepy time." He stumbled slightly as Will's weight put him off balance, but he didn't fall. Thankfully. Horrible timing, especially with a pretty girl watching.
(It's alright)
Again Will struggled, soon realizing that he wasn't going to win this one. "Jynna," He looked over at her, drunk and gasping for breath as he got out a few words, "You know that I'm going to come back as soon as twig leaves, and I'm not going to be nice next time." Eventually he passed out from lack of air, becoming not much more than dead weight in his arms.
Jynna pressed her eyes shut for a moment and rubbed her bare arms at the thought of having to deal with her ex again, knowing that again he was going to be drunk again. She opened her eyes once he went quiet and saw that he was out cold, which was going to be a problem if the guy who stepped in was going to leave right away.
Rhydar set the heavy bastard down, putting his hands on his knees and sighing heavily as he caught his own breath. Then his eyes flicked over to the girl and he stood up straight with a smirk. "My pleasure, milady." He sketched a bow in her direction. "You doing alright? He didn't do anything?" Honestly, he didn't care. But he supposed it was rude to knock out some dude on your porch and then just leave without a word.
"Yeah, I'm fine, he didn't do anything." She sighed and rubbed the back of her neck, looking at her unconscious ex on her porch. Tucking a stray strand out hair out of her face she glanced at the guy, "Thanks for taking him out, I couldn't have knocked him out if I tried. Anything I can do for you to say thanks?" She asked, not really thinking about what she was saying and instead trying to figure out who she could call to take him back to his house.
His lips tilted up in a slight smirk. "Maybe you could tell me your name, pretty lady?" I wonder if she goes to the same college as me. That'd be interesting if so.
A small smile appeared on her face and she studied his face, "Jynna, and you are?" She pulled her hair out of its ponytail absentmindedly and ran her fingers through it, taking a step towards her door and away from the unconscious drunk.
"Rhydar. Say, you go to any college 'round here?" He tilted his head as he studied her face, sorting through faces and names and trying to place both of hers. No one by that name rung any bells. And he couldn't recall seeing a pretty face like that before.
"I go to college in the next city over, Oceanside College," She said, tilting her head to the side slightly, "I haven't seen you on campus at all so I'm guessing you don't go there?" His piercings caught her interest and she counted them in her head, most intrigued by the one on his lip.
(Three studs on the one ear with one that dangles, then a chain cuff earring on the other and another three studs. Two eyebrow piercings on the same brow)
"Ah. No." He winked. "Guess I'm gonna have to transfer then, won't I?" He hooked his thumbs in the belt loops of his jeans. Figured. I would remember seeing her, no doubt. He curled his nose at the unconscious drunkard, kicking his side lightly. "Suppose I'm gonna have'ta take him home, won't I. I did knock him out, after all. Least I could do."
She smiled and rolled her eyes, "And why would you have to transfer?" Jynna shook her head to the statements about Will, "It's fine, you don't have to deal with him anymore, plus you don't know where he lives." She ran a hand through her hair again and shrugged, "I'll have one of his buddies come over and get him, that is if they want to deal with drunk dickface here."
"'Cause I need at least one pretty face to distract me from the boring classes." He grinned, then turned back to Will and shrugged. "I'm here now, might as well." He glanced at her from the corner of his eye. "I'll need you to give me directions though." He was just delaying the obvious–he would never see her again once he left. The reality damped his mood slightly, but he got over it quickly. There were more fish in the sea. She just happened to be one of the few that really caught his eye.
"I can write them down if you give me a minute, he lives back in one of the older apartment buildings around here, it gets quite confusing if you don't know where you're going." She glanced at him and held up her finger to tell him one minute before dashing inside her house and scribbling down directions on the nearest piece of paper she could find, one of her old assignments to be exact. After a moment of debating with herself she bit her lip and wrote down her number as well. Who knew, maybe it would be nice to know someone like him. She headed back out onto her porch with the directions folded up and in her hand.
He was crouched down next to a still unconscious Will, poking his cheek to see if he'd wake up. "He's out." He said to himself, not having noticed Jynna return. "Hope I didn't kill the poor dude. Maggie would be pissed if I did." He continued talking to himself, still oblivious to Jynna's presence, as he was crouched down. He rested his head on his knees, mind going elsewhere.
She stood there silently, knowing that she should probably say something but deciding against it. When she heard the name Maggie she assumed it was his girlfriend, cursing internally and trying to quietly rip the scrap of paper that had her number on it off of the direction sheet. She didn't know that as she was ripping off the scrap of paper she was missing the first few numbers and they were left on the sheet along with the first part of 'call me' that she had written.
He jerked his head up when he heard a sound. "Oh. You're back." He stood and walked over to her. "You got my directions, or are you gonna take me there?" His smirk was back as he stuffed his hands in his pockets. She looks… panicked. I think. Maybe? Or is that just my imagination? Probably. I'm tired, and Mags is gonna beat my ass if I don't get home soon.
"I have the directions right here," She held out the sheet to him and gave him a crooked smile, "One thing, when you get to the door the key is right under the doormat, if I remember and no one has stolen it." Jynna glanced at Will and looked around, "Do you have a car or something? Because I can help you get him wherever he needs to be before you go."
"No car, but I can drag him there. I'm not that nice." He looked at the directions and noticed the Call me with the start of a phone number. The paper had been ripped. Well, that's a new one. He memorized the directions and stuffed the paper in his pocket, then picked up Will and slung his arm over his shoulder. "Glad I could help a damsel in distress," he said with a wink and a lopsided smile.
