"Oh, hey Princess! Yeah, it's Rhydar. Your knight in shining armor, at your service." He threw the stick for Lucky before sitting on the ground. "What's up?"
"Oh, hey Princess! Yeah, it's Rhydar. Your knight in shining armor, at your service." He threw the stick for Lucky before sitting on the ground. "What's up?"
She giggled and rolled her eyes, "I'm not a princess Rhydar." Jynna looked around the parking lot as she talked, "I just wanted to call you and see what you were up to, my shift just got done so I have the whole afternoon to myself."
"I've been throwing a stick since I left the diner while my brother and Kora make out–sorry, have a study session." He paused. "And yes you are."
"So you're free? If you didn't want to deal with the make out session, maybe you and me could go out and find something to do?" She said, rolling her eyes, "Also, still not a princess, I'm not royalty."
"Yeah I'm fr–Lucky!" He fell back with a shout as Lucky plowed into him, excited that he was at the same height as her. "I liked that shirt! Now I got muddy paw prints over it!" he wined. "I didn't want a makeover."
Jynna laughed, "You alright paw print boy? Lucky didn't lick you to death?" She started bouncing her leg as she sat in the car.
"Blech!" He scrunched up his face as she did just that, as if that would help the mess she made. "I'm alive, if only barely. Y'know… I'm in need of a little TLC now. I'm wounded– traumatized, even. If only a certain princess was so kind enough to grant me this last dying wish… Not you, you muddy clutz!" He pushed away Lucky.
"That could be arranged," She said, barely holding in another laugh, "I don't really have any clue where you are though, princess."
"Ha, ha." He got up and attempted to brush off the mud off of himself, the cell tucked between his cheek and shoulder. "I could always hop on over to your place."
She thought for a moment and nodded, "That could work, I can head there right now. just to tell you, it might be a little messy, I haven't hade time to clean up."
"Fine with me. I'm sitting in mud, mind you. I think a messy house is the least of my worries. Especially since I'll be with my Princess." He winked, even though she couldn't see him.
"I think you're the princess right now, not me." She smiled and started the car, "You're requesting some TLC, not me princess."
"If anything, I'd be your prince." He smiled as he let Lucky back in the house, taking Magnus's keys and 'borrowing' his truck. "We be the most unroyal pair of royalty."
"That could work." She propped the phone between her shoulder and ear and started out of the parking lot, "Alright, see you there prince."
"See ya, Princess." He hung up with a playful kiss and started the truck, pulling out of the driveway and heading towards Jynna's house.
She tossed her phone on the seat next to her as she started towards her house, turning on the radio and blasting her music to make the drive seem shorter.
He searched through his memory for the exact turns he took to get to his house from Jynna's then used that to find his way there. His music was turned down so that he could concentrate better on the road and not miss a turn.
Using all the shortcuts she knew by heart, Jynna reached her house in a matter of minutes. The music was still blaring when she turned off the car and hopped out and headed inside, wanting to change out of her work uniform.
A few minutes after Jynna had gotten home, Rhydar pulled in. He sat in the truck for a bit, wondering if this was a good idea or not. He shrugged to himself and got out, going up to the front door and knocking with the back of his knuckles.
"Come in." She shouted when she heard the knock, guessing it was Rhydar. She had already changed into a much more comfortable t-shirt with a pair of leggings and was currently pulling her hair out of the high ponytail so she could comb through it as she walked to the door.
He walked in, taking in the house as he did so, until his eyes rested on Jynna. "Hello, Princess," he purred. As per his usual unconscious habit when he was in odd or unfamiliar situations, his tongue flicked out to brush against his hoop lip ring.
The house -like she said- was decently messy but not in a 'dirty clothes absolutely everywhere' way, more in a 'I could put things away but I don't have enough time' way. Right to the right of the door was a small but new and nice kitchen. To the left was a open space all the way to the back wall, a small and heavily used table complete with two slightly matching chairs was closer to the door. Back in the farther corner was a giant window and TV, a off white couch and chair faced the TV, complete with two obviously handmade but nice blankets tossed over the back. There was a small hallway next to the kitchen with two doors, and the whole space had nice wooden floors.
"Hello Rhydar, welcome to the mess." She motioned to the house and took a step to the side so he could come in as she brushed her hair quickly. A small smile twitched at her lips and she glanced at him, "Feel free to make yourself at home."
"Nice house," he observed, looking around the house again as he stepped farther in. "And not filled with dog hair." His gaze settled back on Jynna once again, and a similar smile settled on his lips. "I'd say it's pretty clean." He paused as he continued to look at her. "You look nice."
He had made sure to quickly change before heading over to Jynna's. He was in similar clothes as he had been in that morning. A tank top and jeans with leather bracelets looped around his knobby wrist, as well as a few metal bands around his fingers that each had different, meticulously etched carvings in them. A chain was looped around his neck with another band strung on it.
Jynna's smile grew slightly and she looked him up and down, "So do you." She motioned around her house, "You can do whatever you want, I'm going to make something to eat quick though, I'm starving."
"I haven't had lunch yet," he admitted, then winked at her. "So I guess I'll be tasting your cooking today." He licked the lip ring again, hidden nerves to even himself expressing themselves in the small nervous tick.
