His face turning red at her adorable smile, looking to his tray and then looking back at the gorgeous white-haired girl in front of him with a smile curving up on his face.
"I don't remember asking for any cake?"
He says poking at it with the fork
"My gift to you"
She says as her thumbs fiddle together, backing away.
"Well i need to get back to work if i wanna keep this job, so bye!"
She says with her usual awkward finger guns, walking away as Ryuu waved to her, taking a sip of his coffee.
"It's great to meet you. I'm Metaphorical, though people call me Met. So… um… I don't mean to be like, upright with you or anything, but would you maybe want to get some coffee or something? Today? There's a nice coffee place next to us (not the same where she works)." He smiled a little, though he was super nervous.
"Oh, sure. I'd love to! I'm not busy or anything." She took off her nametag and set it down on the counter with Met following. The pair walked to the coffee place and sat down after ordering, in a booth near the back.

CC rested on the counter while taking orders, a regular came in, the flirt, as usual, he leans against the counter looking at her with a grin.
"Hey, could i get a table for two?"
He says with a wink
"Oh? Did your mother come into town?"
She says confidently, cocking her hip to the side raising an eyebrow.
"Oh, ouch. No, she's dead hon. I was meaning you! It's Christmas Eve, take a day off pretty lady."
He says with a smirk, making Seo Hyeon feel like crap about mentioning his mother.

Met curled his legs up and fiddled his fingers. He slipped off his hat and set it down, his long, curly black hair plopping onto and past his shoulders.
"Ooh!" Grace suddenly cooed, reaching across the table to feel his curls. Met blushed and didn't move back from her despite wanting to, looking shocked. "Oh, sorry Met!" She moved back as soon as she moved forward. "I majored in cosmetology and I've never seen hair as nice as yours. Especially on a man. One time I dated this one guy who had nice curls like you did, but not as thick."
"Oh? What does that mean?"
"It was fake." She laughed and smacked the table. "You actually take care of your hair. I love the way it shines."
"Thank-thank you, Grace."
(lol i thought there was going to be some rivalry between CCs friend and Him but thisll be interesting anyway XD)
"Im sorry to hear that. But if i want money ill have to keep workin. Catch me when im not working though, i actually come here often."
She says with a wink and a single handed finger gun.
"oh, bring a flower or two"
She says taking a deep breath
"now, what would you like?"
She says running her fingers through her hair.
(well yes I know that. But I wanted to make it more interesting for him and just less… lonely)
Grace took off her own hat and straight blonde hair that went to her ears met his gaze. He smiled, tilting his head. He liked short hairstyles.
"Your hair looks really nice too."
"Awe, this thing? Nah." She shook her head and waved her hand again, sitting up as their coffee and snacks were deliviered.
(awe poor thing. Im glad hes not lonely anymore :)
"your heart, but i dont think i can get that without a thing of flowers, so ill just have some peach tea please."
He says looking around as Ryuu walked towards them. He knew who this guy, CC had been complaining about him for the past two weeks.
"Hey lemon cakes, whaddya doin?"
Ryuu says leaning against the counter as CC blushed at his words. Ryuus glasses hanging from the collar of his sweater.
"Serving a flirt"
She says with a slight smile. Ryuu never actually did or said things like this to her unless she was getting hit on.
He knew she never liked it no matter how much she acted as she did.
She never liked hurting someone's feelings. One of the reasons why he loved her so much.
Met laughed as he took his coffee, opening his heavy-lidded eyes to admire her rather blunt features and slim cheeks. "I think you look great with it," He cooed quietly, his cheeks a faint red as the deliver-er walked away.
Grace turned to look at him and set her elbows on the table, and her eyes caught into his icy eyes, and they just stared for a few moments.
"Thank you, Met. That's really sweet of you."
Met gave her one of his shy little smiles, resisting the temptation to look down away from the eye contact, but he wouldn't let himself at the same time. It was like swimming in a pool full of the warm emotion in her eyes. It felt really nice. He felt his shoulders drop slowly as he sipped at his coffee.
"wow, ouch. I wouldnt call myself a flirt, just complimenting a pretty lady"
He says running his finger through his hair, Seo Hyeon turning away from the boys with a little giggle while she made his peach tea.
"Oh?"
Ryuu says turning to the flirt,
"i dont think you know what youre getting yourself into, but shoot your shot if you want it back."
He says with a hint of challengingness (if thats a word XD) in his voice.
Turning around with a peach boba tea in her hands, handing it to him, the "flirt" looks at Ryuu nervously, then winking at Seo Hyeon and taking his leave.
Grace suddenly pulled out her phone and slid it over. "Here. Let's exchange numbers and maybe we can get together again sometime?" She proposed as Met sat up a little out of his stupor.
"Oh, sure! That sounds… sounds great. Yes." He smiled and picked up the phone, plugging his number into a contact and handing it back over. "Thank you for going out with me, Grace. I really appreciate it. I've just been feeling really alone and it's nice to talk to someone."
"Aw. I'm glad I can be here for you. Our love for hats has brought us together!" She laughed, smiling a genuine smile again, one that Met matched.
"Yeah. Hats."

It had been a couple months since Met had been on his first date with Grace. She was really a nice person. They had spent their holiday seasons together since they had no one else to, they drank and slept over at each others houses pretty often on their days off, but it was never anything too scandalous. They were only just starting to date, after all. Met decided he wanted to go slow with her after their quick first date, and she was happy to agree.
Though on February fourteenth she had come over to hang out with him at his house. He had a nice vase of flowers for her and a nice card with a giftcard of a store she liked in it. He wanted a simple, small gift. And he thought she'd be the same, but he was quite wrong.
She had brought him a big box of his favorite treats. She learned quickly that he loved sweet things, especially cakes, and had personally baked all of them and put them in a big box she found on ebay for like, fifty bucks.
CC had actually spent the holidays alone, she would've spent it with Ryuu, but he went back to Japan for a while and hadn't come back yet. Apparently, it was a big family thing although his dad got kicked out of Japan, he hadn't. Which Seo Hyeon was happy for him. He went off to visit his aunt that had practically raised him.
Seo Hyeon hadn't seen the flirtatious guy ever since that time at the coffee shop.
Right now she was just trying to survive each day. She wasn't getting paid the best so she couldn't get much food if she wanted to pay the bills. She tried to find another job but their were no hiring. Having no friends in America was hard, which played a big role in her life right now. And she never actually got to meet up with Met, which she was a little bummed out about, but she's seen him with another girl once or twice, he looked happy, so she wasn't about to change that.
