"Well…" Halm wasn't sure if he should tell Cas why; Halm knew, of course, and that's what made him nervous.
"Well…" Halm wasn't sure if he should tell Cas why; Halm knew, of course, and that's what made him nervous.
Cas looked up at Halm curiously, awaiting his answer. "Well, what?"
"That… usually only happens to those who are going to… perish soon." Halm remembered quite clearly his first encounter with this…
Cas's eyes widened and his heart started racing. Oh shit… wait… what does that mean for me? "Am I… am I gonna die?" He asked weakly. "Am I sick?"
"I… I don't know," Halm said softly. "You're not sick, I can tell that, but…" He pulled Cas a little closer, protectively.
Cas huddled close to Halm, scratching behind Nix's ears to try and calm down. "I don't wanna die… not yet, anyways."
"I don't want you to, either," Halm said. "I'll keep you safe."
"Thanks, Halm… does my soul think it's in danger or something?" He asked.
"I… I don't know." Halm pulled Cas a little closer, and continued making his way to the house. Already, things were starting to become visible.
Cas glanced up at the house, looking uneasy. He was understandably afraid, and he couldn't quite understand what was going on.
Halm brought Cas into the house, thinking.
"Someone's going to try to kill him," he realized under his breath.
(Yaaay lol)
He closed his eyes again once they were inside and sighed. "What else are we doing today, love?"
Halm blinked a few times.
"You did it again," he said instead of answering Cas's question.
"Did what again?" Cas asked, confused.
"C-called me love," Halm explained.
Cas blushed, his heart pounding. "I-I'm sorry, I… I hardly know what I'm saying anymore… I… um… I must be tired or something…" He stammered. Dammit, brain…
"It's okay!" Halm said quickly. "I… Don't mind." He shrugged a little, trying to make it less of a big deal.
"I'm still sorry…" Cas hid his face in Halm's chest, sighing. "I really don't want to make you uncomfortable…"
"Cas, it's fine. You didn't make me uncomfortable." Halm raised one hand and put it lightly on top of Cas's head, smiling softly.
Cas glanced up at Halm from where he was. "Are you sure…?" He asked softly.
"I'm sure," Halm said, giving Cas a small smile.
Cas sighed in relief and nodded, hiding his red face again. "Um… moving on from that, what else are we doing today?"
"We have a free day today," Halm said.
"Perhaps a trip up to the Earth?"
"Sure. It gets kinda chilly down here. Do you wanna go now?" He asked.
"I see no reason not to." Halm smiled, turning and heading towards the closet.
