"Are we going through the closet?" He glanced between Halm and the door, confused.
"Are we going through the closet?" He glanced between Halm and the door, confused.
"Yep. It's the faster way to get there, why?" Halm glanced down at Cas.
"Oh, well… it's just… it's not how we got here, so I was wondering why."
"Well, the closet is a one way thing." Halm opened the door, stepping in.
"Ah… how are we going to get back, then?" He asked.
"Same way we got here in the first place. Don't worry," Halm closed the door behind them, and then they were stepping out into a forest.
Cas nodded and breathed in the fresh forest air, relaxing immediately. It was a little chilly, perhaps, but compared to the underworld, the temperature was very comfortable for Cas.
Halm breathed deeply, smiling a little. He always had loved to earth more than his home.
Cas lay his head against Halm's chest, but kept his face turned towards the forest so he could take in more of the sweet air. "I forgot how much I like this forest…"
Halm nodded, smiling.
"It's easy to forget, at times." He adjusted his hold on Cas a little.
"So, what would you like to do now?"
"I dunno. We can walk around, I guess? I don't have any loved ones to visit or anything." He shrugged.
Halm nodded, understanding.
"You want me to keep carrying you?" he asked.
"Mhmm." Cas nodded as well, keeping Nix close so the cat could look around from his arms. Nix seemed to remember this forest.
Halm smiled, nodding.
"Okay then." Halm started walking slowly, basking in the warmth.
(Should we have someone see them?)
(We can if you want. Any ideas?)
(I was thinking of two scenarios. One- some rando person sees them, thinks Halm is kidnapping Cas, drama ensues where they try to get Cas away from Halm. Two- someone who knows Cas sees them)
(I was thinking the first one originally when you mentioned someone seeing them lol)
(Cool. Want me to write it up?)
(Sure)
Halm walked through the forest, relaxed. Of course, nothing was good for long. A small gasp could be heard. Halm tensed, trying to spot the source.
Cas jumped a bit at the noise and glanced around, although his face wasn't visible to the stranger. He probably looked unconscious from that distance.
Halm's grip on Cas tightened a little, and he turned slowly, eyes scanning the forest.
"Not good," he said quietly to Cas. "Definitely not good…" There was a rustle to the left, and Halm turned to face it entirely.
"Who's there?" He demanded.
Cas whispered quietly, trying to make out the figure in the bushes. "H-Hello?" He asked weakly.
Slowly, a woman stood up, trembling like a leaf. She was staring at Halm, a basket of berries in one hand. Halm watched the woman with apprehension, pulling Cas a little closer to himself.
Cas eyed the woman fearfully, though his fear was probably taken to be directed towards Halm.
(Woman: What are you doing with that child??
Cas: I'm ninetEEN)
