"Well how did you end up in France, then?" Archer asked.
"Well how did you end up in France, then?" Archer asked.
“Um. Vacation….?” Addie said quietly, trying very much hard not to think of her nameless faceless ex I haven’t figured out the name of yet.
(Lol. When two people both break the fourth wall in both of their RPs…)
Archer raised an eyebrow at her disbelievingly. "All right… You're sure?"
//XD
“I think so, yeah,” Addie murmured, rubbing the back of her neck.
(They're walking, remember? Lol.)
"You just think so?" Archer gently prodded.
//oh. Whoops.
Addie sighed. “You know how, sometimes, life happens, and then you are cowardly, and then you run from it?”
(Lol. ;P)
"Yes," Archer said with a nod. He glanced at her out of the corner of his eye. "If you don't want to talk about it, that's okay."
“I appreciate it,” Addie said, smiling half-heartedly. “Maybe someday, okay?”
"I will listen if you ever want to talk," Archer agreed with a small smile.
“Thanks,” Addie nodded.
Archer stopped when they reached the middle of the bridge. He led Addie to the railing and looked over the dark water.
"What do you think of the city so far?" he asked quietly.
“It’s beautiful,” Addie whispered, but she wasn’t looking at the city.
(Is she calling Archer beautiful? XD)
Archer glanced over at Addie. "Yes, yes it is," he murmured.
//maaaaayyyybbbbbbeeeeee :P
(Lol.
Archer: I'm not beautiful. I'm ruggedly handsome…)
Addie flushed and looked at the water, counting on her hair to fall over her face and hide the blush. It happily complied. Addie smiled to herself. Maybe Paris is the city of love after all…
(Awwwwwwww!)
Archer saw her blush in the split second before her hair covered it and smiled. He reached out and gently tucked her hair behind her ear.
"Let's move this away from your pretty face," he said softly.
Addie blushed again, not taking her eyes off the sparkling water. She was slightly afraid that moving would break the spell.
Archer's hand lingered on her cheek for a moment before he pulled away gently. He looked down at the water, heat rising to his face.
"Sorry," he muttered, feeling like he stepped out of line. He'd only just met the girl, and he was already falling for her…
Addie shook her head. “Oh, no, no, you misunderstand, you’re… ah…. fine.”
"Are you sure?" Archer asked gently, placing a hand on top of hers.
Addie nodded. “Yes,” she whispered. “I’m sure.”
Archer grinned and intertwined their fingers.
"Then you wouldn't mind if I held your hand?" he asked, though he was already doing so.
“Nope,” Addie smiled, squeezing his hand. “I quite enjoy it, actually.”
