"Quite a bit" said Arthur,
"Quite a bit" said Arthur,
"Then I will offer again, I would gladly take you to the border through the shadows. Would you let me?"
"Not if it means hurting yourself" said Arthur firmly.
"I'd be fine, I swear." Soren shrugged. "It's not like my own shadow can kill me."
"Great… had to put those thoughts in my head…" said Arthur regretfully.
"Listen, we might be able to get out without you utilizing your shadow. But we'd have to work together."
"What are you suggesting we do?" Soren raised a single eyebrow skeptically.
"Im suggesting we work together to get out, and do part of the journey, or at least as much as we can afford, without magic." He said. "The goal is to gwt out, not to do it in one night."
Soren was silent for a moment, frowning to himself, before finally speaking. "How on earth are we supposed to get out without using magic??"
"We stay away from roads, and we use our own resources." Said Arthur, "I can run for miles on end, and surely you can do more than just magic"
"I mean I guess I can." He shrugged. "But how do we proceed to leave when they keep an eye on the doors at all times through security cameras?"
"We leave during a training session." Said Arthur. "First we make them trust us out on the sessions and gradually increase into normal class time. Then we just pick a day to leave. If we time it right and use magic to get a head start, then they won't notice that we're gone till our trail's gone cold."
"That sounds fairly easy to do." Soren nodded, crossing his arms. A bright glimmer caught his eye, and he turned to find the sun starting to rise. "Well there goes my plans of sleeping. Should we just head back inside now?"
"Probably" said Arthur, "after all, who needs sleep??" he got to his feet, heading for the school.
I do..
Soren followed after Arthur, holding back several yawns.
Aren't I supposed to have Divination class first?
He shook his head slowly and sighed. "Lessons begin at seven, from the sunrise I am guessing it's about six now. That means I can have a shower!"
And sleep..
"You do that" said Arthur. "Listen we'll meet up at lunch and go find your teach to work out a schedule alright? And dont mention what we were talking about just now."
"My lips are sealed." Soren smirked as he entered the building. "I'll be seeing you later." He threw Arthur a quick wink before sauntering off down the hallway to the right - the opposite to where his room was. He had something he needed to do before returning to his own room.
Arthur smirked, heading into the school and heading straight to his room. Picking up his small satchel he headed off to the one class he actually enjoyed.
(BUMPITY!!)
(AAHH SORRY!)
Soren sat cross-legged, alone, in the middle of his umbrakinesis classroom, with his eyes closed. A tall mirror stood in front of him. He took a deep breath to calm his nerves. The curtains and blinds were open, the sunrise casting shadows along the walls and floor. He was about to hold a consultation.
The shadow beneath Soren melted up his body, seeping into every pore of his skin. He opened his eyes, one of them completely black with his shadow, the other the ice blue of his human side.
You call upon me, not to use me, but solely to keep me within your body. Why?
I am not confident in my own non-magic abilities. By keeping you inside my body I hope that you can offer me the guidance I need to get Arthur to the country's border unharmed.
You are becoming wiser, though you are not any stronger… Very well, I will reside within you. But if the situation calls for it I will take over you and sort things myself. I pray for your sake it doesn't come to that.
Thank you..
Soren shook his head, glancing in the mirror, his black eye was back to normal. And his shadow was no longer visible. "Alright then.." he sighed, pushing himself off the floor. "Time for a quick nap!"
He wandered out of the classroom and to his room, falling face first into his pillow and into a deep sleep.
As Arthur was heading to potions he reached out to Discordion. Hey wha'da'ya think of our plan? he asked,
It has merit
Do you think it'll work
Possibly
Quit being so negative
I'm not And with that Discordion vanished.
Arthur sighed, heading into the classroom and setting up at his usual spot, not minding the fact that he was early.
(OOF)
Soren rose from slumber around midday, missing his double divination slot and half of his umbrakinesis class. He had a quick shower, blowdrying his hair, and quickly changed into some new clothes. Soren didn't bother tying his wavy hair up, although he knew it would be a nuisance to keep flipping out of his eyes. He sauntered down to the food hall just as the bell went for break time, and observed every person who entered and left the room. He stabbed at his rice salad, bored, waiting for either his friends or Arthur.
Arthur wandered into the lunch room. Feeling exhausted after sitting through mystics. Spotting Soren, he quickly made his way over, "Hey!" he managed to crack a smirk as he came over, sitting down across from Soren. "How did class go?"
Soren looked up with wide weary eyes. "I've just woke up.. Divination isn't that important anyway, I pretty much have it under my belt.." He yawned before frowning. "Why are you talking to me? You realise my friends will start picking on you if they see us together right?"
"Whatever" said Arthur, "I have nowhere else to be and it's better than moping alone where my own head can become torture"
