be wary of him arthur said Discordion, having noticed the change in Soren's voice.

"Well aren't you prepared." Soren rolled his completely black eyes, his arm dropping. "I guess I'll be seeing you later." He slid a quick wink to Arthur and blew a kiss with two fingers to Jessop as he left the food hall and made his way to his umbrakinesis class with the professor.
You need to stop being so flirty, people find it creepy.
Hey let me have a little fun alright? I won't do anything bad…
I'm not convinced.

Arthur watched him with a slight frown.
Noted he said to Discordion as he got up tohead to his dark mystics class.
Be wary of him. He's definitely done something with his shadow.
I realize that replied Arthur, He and I will talk later

During the class, Soren refused to let his shadow take control, and so could only manipulate the shadows to a small degree. He sat in silence, staring at the clock up on the wall. As soon as the clock struck 12 he was out of the room.
You stay out of it unless I tell you to, got that?

Arthur headed straight for the meeting point after class, That was boring…. he moaned to himself.

Stay out of my thoughts replied Arthur as he reached the clearing in the trees.

Soren was already waiting in the clearing, leaning on a tree with his arms crossed. His eyes were back to normal, but his shadow was still missing from visible view. He had a bright grin that reached his eyes, and waved slightly as Arthur made his way over.
"You ready to get started? I don't know how much control I will have over the shadows so don't expect much progress from yesterday."

"Right, but first we need to talk about that shadow of yours" said Arthur, one eyebrow raised, "If there's something up I wanna know, especially since one wrong move could spell major trouble for both of us."

"Nothing is up, why do you ask?" Soren frowned, tilting his head curiously. "My shadow is.. the same as always? Nothing's really changed? I don't know what you want me to say honestly."

"Soren" Arthur frowned.
Discordion appeared behind him, watching Soren curiously.
"Right now I can't even see your shadow" he said pointing to the ground around Soren, "What did you do?"

(Sorry! Family is kinda keeping an eye on me since I bunked college, I'll reply asap!!)
"I did nothing." Soren had a firm, emotionless expression, giving away no signs of having actually done anything. "Everything is fine, God, are we doing this or not?"

Arthur sighed, warping to the other side of the clearing, forcing himself to relax.
"Ready?" he asked, summoning a ring of aura orbs.
(no worries!! I just bump it periodically so I can remember it exists. XD)

Soren balled his hands into fists, closing his eyes, taking a deep breath. "I'm ready."
Take it easy okay?

(It's a long story 😂 I know it was stupid but hey ho, no offence taken 😉)

be on your guard Arthur said Discordion silently before vanishing.
I will replied Arthur as he launched the orbs, charging Soren with an aura sword launching into a pattern that seemed to be a mixture of techniques.

Soren dodged the orbs with ease, a shadow blade forming from his fingertips to parry the aura sword. "You're not even trying."

Arthur raised an eyebrow, switching gears and whipping around and summoning his blade, simultaineously creating Aura whips, launching them at Soren. Charging Soren again with new speed, and an even fiercer guard.

With subconscious directions from his shadow, Soren was able to deflect the aura whips. He pressed forwards, clashing blades with Arthur, a grim smile spreading on his lips. "That's more like it."

Arthur frowned, "You've gotten a lot better than last time" he said, throwing Soren's blade aside and pressing his attack. "Too good"

Soren dodged Arthur's attack, responding with his own that narrowly missed the latter's cheek. "I've been holding back I guess, I don't really know my own strength or power.."
I said take it easy!
This is too much fun!

He's lying warned Discordion,
I know said Arthur, But we'll see how it plays out first
Arthur put on an extra burst of speed, beating Soren back before launching to the other side of the clearing, "Chaosae!" he enveloped himself in aura, suddenly taking to the sky with an aireal blaze of Aura. Landing behind Soren he attacked, his sword becoming the handle for a whip of flaming magic.

"You wanna play it that way?" Soren sighed.
Don't do it!
I can control it, I'll be fine.
Your body isn't stable enough to do what you're thinking. As soon as you shift you'll be stuck like that, and your human side will be lost forever.
Soren stared at the whip in Arthur's hands. Fine..
He let go of his blade, watching it dissipate as he held his hands up. "I concede."
