Danny gritted his teeth, pulling his hand away from the scab. "Oh, fuck. Ow."
Danny gritted his teeth, pulling his hand away from the scab. "Oh, fuck. Ow."
Alex frowned. "Why do you pick at your scabs when you know it's going to hurt?" he asked, shaking his head.
"In my defense: I didn't know if that was gonna hurt or not." Danny looked up. "I was tryna see if it was like.. dead..? I dunno how scabs work."
He snorted, shaking his head. "Danny…" he trailed off, taking a deep breath and letting it out. "Peeling a scab off is usually accompanied by pain."
"Keyword usually! Sometimes they don't hurt." Danny countered, drinking the rest of his water,
He rolled his eyes, taking a sip of his water.
"Anyway. I need to stop gettin' picked to babysit, 'cause this is what happens." Danny held up his hands, which were all scratched up. "Fucken' feral ass kids."
He snorted softly. "Yikes. That's why I'm glad there are no small children in my family. I mean…they'd be human kids, but still."
"Kids are kids." Danny laughed. "They're all pretty much the same across the board, right?"
He chuckled. "Yeah. Except Werewolf children have bigger teeth." he replied with a shrug.
"Well. Yeah." Danny grinned. "And sharper nails."
He laughed a little bit. "So, a little more terrifying than your average child."
"Just a little." Danny snorted. "But once you start livin' with 'em, it's not too bad."
He shrugged. "I mean, I don't think I'm ever going to do that, but alright." He replied with a smile.
"Fair enough." Danny shrugged. "I mean- you know what I'm sayin' though."
He nodded. "Yeah, I do." He smiled over at the Werewolf.
"Hey- you hear about that- uh- high school reunion? For our class?" Danny had seemingly gone completely off track. "It's not for a little while, but.. man. Forgot those still happened."
He blinked. "The what?" He said, looking at Danny, then shaking his head. "Er…not really. I don't keep in touch with most of them anymore."
"Yeah. Wish I didn't." Danny laughed. "Just checkin' to see, I'm not goin' or anythin'."
He laughed a little. "I mean, I only had like…two or three friends, so…" He shrugged.
Danny shrugged, rolling his empty glass between his palms. "It happens, I guess."
"Yeahh. Plus…I mean, maybe in twenty years, if I live that long, it would be interesting to go to, but at this point…I feel like people won't really have changed? And…I don't want to go see the same people who pushed me into lockers or called me a fag again, so…" He shrugged s little, looking down at the bar for a moment.
"'T's valid. I get it." Danny nodded. "Can't stand half those cunts." He rubbed his eye. "Surprised I didn't fucken' strangle anyone, but."
He laughed a little bit. "Yeah, well." He replied with a shrug.
"Got damn close." Danny laughed. "Aw, shit- did I tell you I learned another song on this baby?" He patted the guitar case.
