Frasier rolled his eyes. "C'mon. I wasn't hurtin' you."
"Okay? That doesn't mean jack to me, Fray. That shit pisses me off."
Frasier rolled his eyes. "C'mon. I wasn't hurtin' you."
"Okay? That doesn't mean jack to me, Fray. That shit pisses me off."
Alex shot the other man a faint little smile. "Now, your turn to tell a story."
The guy laughed, and proceeded to start telling a story.
Frasier took a sip of his drink. "Okay. Jesus, did something happen? Why the fuck are you so pissed off at me?"
"I'm- augh- Jesus, all I said was don't fucken' touch me like that. It's uncomfortable and again, you know I hate it."
Alex listened to the story with a soft smile on his face, laughing a little bit as the other man gestured with his hands.
"Yeah. Whatever." Frasier spat. "I'm gonna go see what Oz is up to." He got up, walking off into the crowd.
Danny sighed, rubbing his eyes. "Fuuuuck…" He flagged down the bartender, an older harpy lady, who Danny had grown strangely close to. "Hey, Patty."
"What's wrong, darlin'?" The harpy looked concerned as she wiped out a glass.
"Nothin'. Hey, can I just get a water? Please."
Alex was still talking with the other, laughing as he finished his story. "Your name was Dominic, right?" He asked, raising his eyebrows.
The male nodded. "Yeah, Dominic." He confirmed. "You're Alexander aka Alex?"
"Sure thing, sweetheart." Patty handed him the glass of water. Danny barely drained it like he always did. "Somethin's up with you."
"Nothin's up, Patty! Honest to god. I'm just… y'know." Danny shrugged, rubbing his eyes with the heel of his hand.
"No, I don't know. You mind explainin'?"
Alex nodded. "Mhm!" he replied, taking a sip of his drink. "'s nice to meet you, Dominic."
Dominic grinned. "Yeah, likewise."
"I mean.. kinda, yeah." Danny took a sip of his water, trying to ignore the alcohol next to him. "I dunno. I just- I dunno. I think I fucked up, but-"
"But?"
"I dunno! I didn't even start it, I just asked Frasier to like- I dunno, stop fucken' touchin' me when he knows I don't like it. I'm just tired of it, so I kinda snapped at him. I dunno."
Alex glanced over at Danny, hearing the other male sounding upset, and bit his lip. He glanced over at Dominic again, running a hand through his hair.
Damny gritted his teeth, continuing to talk. “But it’s weird ‘cause- like- he knows. That’s what’s really upsetting, ‘cause I told him to stop and he spun it on me and now I dunno. ‘Cause I feel like I did somethin’ wrong but I dunno what.” Danny sighed. “You got a smoke?”
“You don’t smoke, I thought.”
“Not yet.”
Alex excused himself quietly, and walked over to Danny. "Everything okay?" he asked, looking at the Werewolf male.
Danny jumped, not expecting Alex to come up to him. “Jesus fuck- yeah, I am, why?” He lied, not wanting to worry his friend. It showed in his face that he definitely wasn’t, but Danny would rather die than admit it.
Alex's eyebrows drew together a little bit, cocking his head slightly. "You sure?" he asked. He didn't mind helping if necessary; god knew that Danny had helped him so much recently, with the stuff with Keats and all that.
At some point during the two's interaction, Patty had wandered off. Danny looked to her direction for support, but.. nothing. Great. He had to talk about this all by himself. Or maybe he could avoid it? He didn't know. "Think so." He rubbed his eyes. "Why, you hear somethin'?"
Alex shrugged. "You just…you just seemed a bit upset and I wanted to make sure that you were alright." he replied, looking up at Danny.
"Yyyeah, you did. Damn, I need to work on my volume." Danny joked wryly, though there was barely any humor in his laugh. "Just goin' through the motions, I guess."
Alex frowned a little bit. "Ah." he replied. He wasn't quite sure what Danny meant, looking at the Werewolf.
"Relationship shit. It happens, I guess. Just sorta.." Danny waved his hand, as if that helped him explain at all. "Y'know." He took a sip of his drink. "Hey- but- man, don't let me bring you down. It's probably not that serious."
Alex blinked, eyebrows pulling together slowly. "I…don't understand, but alright." he said slowly, cocking his head.
"I really dunno how else to explain it, man. Just some shit where I didn't start it but apparently I'm like– it's my fault. Or whatever. I dunno." Danny was getting fucking tired of trying to explain it, but he knew it would be better to try and do that rather than get into a screaming match with Frasier when he inevitably tried to bring it up.
Alex frowned, remembering stuff like that happening with Keats. Where somehow everything had been his fault, even when it wasn't. "I…that's not…" he didn't know how to explain it.
"I was probably just too snappy. I'll probably talk to him later about it." Danny knew that was a lie, but whatever would get Alex to stop frowning. It sucked seeing him like that, especially when Danny knew he was why. "I dunno. Maybe I'm just drunk and I need to go to sleep." Danny barely drank at all that night compared to others, and he knew it.
Alex shook his head slightly. "It's not your fault." he replied. "If you didn't start it, then it isn't your fault." he took a deep breath, trying to relax.
"I don't even know who started it, man." Danny laughed it off, but the sound wasn't there. It was empty. "It's fine, though. I'm fine, He's.. fine? I dunno. I should go check on him, sorry." Danny rubbed his eyes. He found that his legs wouldn't let him get up, even if he wanted to.
