Finding some comfort in his visit with Urielle and a new found desire for something sweet, Raz flew to the city and made few stops in some stores to grab a few things. By nightfall, Raz had lugged 5bags of groceries around, as well as an extra bag of clothes from home before making his way back to Simon's apartment. He kicked at the door lightly "I'm back!" He called, letting his arms sag as he took a moment to relax in the hall
“Spooks had been yelling for you. And if I had known you weren’t going to be home for half the day, I wouldn’t have gotten all dolled up.” Simon sat up, looking at him. “Groceries? What’s that about?”
Raz laughed lightly and set the groceries aside to scratch Spook behind the ears and neck. "Poor thing, I'm sorry I didn't call earlier, I left my phone here. I didn't thinkdI'd be out so long." He explained, gently nudging Spooks aside so that he could work with the groceries. "Well, there's still dinner to make if you still want dress up.” Ge replied, nudging spook away from the sugar and chocolate he had bought. “ this is desert. Figued i try to be fancy tonight.” He said with a shrug
“Why? Frozen pizza is perfectly respectable.” Simon got up and pulled on the hem of his skirt.
"and that's what you want to get dressed up for?" Raz chuckled lightly with a shake if his head and started rummaging through the fridge for said frozen pizza. "Fancy frozen pizza dinner it is then."
Simon didn’t have the courage or heart to tell Razielle that he’d actually gotten dressed for him. He elbowed Razielle aside and pulled the pizza out of the freezer. “Uh, cheese or pepperoni?”
"whichever one you like, I don't mind either one." He glanced over at Simon as he went back to organizing the groceries, a light blush dusting his cheeks as took in the other Angel's appearance. "You look good. R-really nice." He stammered out, slowly looking away to focus on the groceries.
Simon smiled crookedly. “Thank you,” he said, clearly pleased with himself. He turned to the oven and set it to preheat.
While Raz didn't want to admit it just yet, he liked Simon's crooked, carefree smile the best. It wasn't forced or hesitant like the other smiles he had seen Simon show. Raz was secretly glad Simon felt comfortable enough to smile like that around him. With a small smile if his own, Raz went to work on a few of the longer steps of the desert while Simon heated the pizza
Simon opened the oven and slid the pizza onto the middle rack. His finger touched the metal and he yelped, “Shit! Ow.” He quickly shut the oven and put his finger in his mouth.
Raz snapped his attention back up when Simon yelled out in pain. He arched an eyebrow and shook his head with a small laugh, going back to preparing what he needed for dessert when he saw that the other wasn't seriously injured. "Just a friendly reminder, ovens are hot."
"I'm not an idiot." Simon frowned at him. "Glad I'm capable of getting you attention that fast, though." He poked Razielle arm with his uninjured hand.
"never said you were. But you did just touch a hot oven." He replied, playfully swatting Simon's hand away as he poked his arm. "Of course that's get my attention, who wouldn't look up at the sound of someone in pain?"
"I was kidding," Simon sang, setting a timer on the oven. He sat down at the table crossing his ankles, and arching his back in a stretch.
Raz rolled his eyes with a laugh before turning to the cabinets to find ramikins, bowls and spatulas. Into the bowl, he threw in chocolate, sugar, and a bit of flower. He whipped eggwhites in a separate bowl and folded them in gently. He set that aside and buttered a few of the ramikins, pouring in the chocolate mixture in once they were ready. He set those aside to put into the oven later on.
"Don't roll your eyes. It was a lovely serenade." He leaned forward and put his chin on the table.
"ah so that's what you call that." He smirked and threw the dirty bowls and utensils in the sink to wash later after their dinner. "Found urielle earlier. He wanted to apologies for what happened in Hevean and for what Gabriel said."
"Ugh. Arielle doesn't have anything to apologize for anything, except for his sass. Whatever. I hope they get over their little lover's quarrel."
"the dry sass is a given, no matter who he's talking to or the situation." He settled down at the dining table. He shrugged and ran a hand through his hair. "He told me they were taking a break on their relationship to focus on finding the Diety and to work on themselves."
"Good for them," Simon said, half-heartedly. He was gazing lazily at Razielle's hand. "They need a vacation, I think."
Raz have a sigh and a nod "I think we all will with how much stress the disappearance is putting on all the angels." Raz agreed, arching an eyebrow in silent question before looking down at his own hand to make sure there wasn't anything wrong
Simon flushed and got up hastily, pulling the pizza out of the oven. He slid it onto a platter and offered Razielle the pizza cutter. "I'm not very good at cutting pizza. You better do this," he said, avoiding Razielle's eyes.
Raz tilted his head in slight confusion before akwardly standing and taking the pizza cutter. "Uhm, okay. I mean, pizza is pizza." He shrugged and cut the pizza into nice beat triangles. "There, now let's eat! This looks good and I'm excited for the desert.
"I just do it crookedly," Simon said defensively and put the platter on the table. He pulled a slice toward himself and pulled a piece of pepperoni off of it and nibbled at the edge. "What'd you make for dessert anyways."
"I'm making a chocolate souffles." He replied excitedly, bouncing in place as he grabbed a slice of pizza and following Simon to the table. "It's a bit fancy but it tastes so good! And it's one if the only desserts I can make well." He shrugged and curled up in the chair, plate balancing on his knees. "This is surprisingly good." He mused as he took a bite
