“Okay. You probably know more about this than I do. I think we can agree that you’re the brains and I’m the brawn of this operation,” Simon said wryly.
“Okay. You probably know more about this than I do. I think we can agree that you’re the brains and I’m the brawn of this operation,” Simon said wryly.
He laughed "sure, you could say that, though you never know, I might be able to take someone down some day." He settled on the couch, computer resting on his crossed legs and notepad beside him.
"I highly doubt that," Simon said, eyeing him. "You're scrawny. Like an underfed raccoon."
Raz tilted his head "that's oddly specific, but okay, fair enough." He Rolled his eyes and went back to work, writing anything he thought useful.
“It is not. You definitely give off raccoon vibes. Except you don’t have the mask.”
"you haven't seen me sleep deprived then." He chuckled lightly and typed a few things into his laptop, saving a page he thought important. "You know Hell better than I do, there wasn't anything off about it that could have indicated the Doety was there or something? Not a feeling or something out of place?" He asked, resting his chin in his hand as he looked over at Simon.
“Not that I can remember. I mean. Pain and suffering kind of impairs your perception. But I didn’t pick anything up.”
He nodded slightly, biting his lip in thought before turning back to his work. "I wonder why they left. Are they dissapointed in us? Is there something that's going to happen?" He muttered to himself, running his hands through his hair as he read over an article depicting the Plagues.
"I don't know. It's very frustrating. I hate that I can't just figure it out." Simon paced the length of the living room.
"well, the Diety has never been one for being obvious or straightforward," Raz replied, finding something new to read. "Maybe there's no point in us trying to find them." He murmured, leaning back on the couch and closing his eyes for a moment
"I don't know," Simon repeated. "But you're doing a good job. With the research and stuff," he offered.
Raz shrugged "thanks but I don't really see the point if it gets us no where." Raz sighed softly and shut his computer. "Let's hope to find something tomorrow." He nodded to himself trying to keep an open mind. They'd find the Diety. Or at least something that would help in the search. And then Simon would be able to return to heaven. Zophiel would be tried for his crime. And Raz would go back to work… Everything would be alright
Simon frowned slightly, resuming pacing. "I hope so. I just want this all to be over." He had a mild headache pressing at his temples, and his body was on fire. He hated himself for that, but it wasn't like he could do anything about it.
"yeah, I'm sure we all do." Raz agreed softly, setting his computer aside to charge. "How are you feeling?" He asked softly, watching warily as Simon paced to and fro in the living room. "Are you nervous to go back?"
"I feel fine," he lied. "I'm not nervous. I'm just anxious. Which sound the same, but for me are different," he clarified. "It's not a big deal. Don't worry about it."
Raz glared at him "you can't just tell a therapist not to worry about something and expect them not to ask questions, or at least not worry more." Raz sighed softly and crossed his arms over his chest. "I would have assumed going back home would be a massive deal to you."
"Well, you wanted an answer, didn't you?" Simon snapped. "It is a big deal."
Raz leaned forwards, his elbows in his knees. "you've already been home before. What makes this so different?" He pressed, keeping his voice low and gentle.
Simon glared at Razielle for a moment, then said, "It's like when you move away. When you come back, life is still the same there, even though you've changed."
He nodded slightly, dropping his gaze. He knew the feeling. Not to the extent of Simon's situation but there was been times where Raz did feel very out of place after coming back from a year of being on Earth, as if even if he wasn't there, no one cared or stopped to ask where he was.
"we can go and see Anaelle when we go back." He whispered softly, "we can have Urielle show us if anyone tries to stop us."
Simon avoided Razielle's eyes. "That would be nice," he said carefully. "I would like that."
Raz nodded "let's just hope Zophiel is still away from home when we go." He murmured, sharply inhaling and gently ruffling his wings. He scooped Spooks up as she wander last, settling her in his lap and nudged her behind her ears.
"I doubt it," Simon said wryly. "He's sort of a loiterer."
Raz glanced up "good, it'll give us a chance to talk then." Raz replied with an innocent smile, "ask a few questions and some answers from the angel himself."
"Raz. He's not stupid. He isn't going to give up any information. And he'll probably kill me on sight."
