Once the lasagna was cool enough, Razielle dug in, humming softly in appreciation and enjoying the wonderful meal. "You're not going to try any?" He asked, noticing that Simon hadn't served himself a plate. "It's really good."
Once the lasagna was cool enough, Razielle dug in, humming softly in appreciation and enjoying the wonderful meal. "You're not going to try any?" He asked, noticing that Simon hadn't served himself a plate. "It's really good."
Simon smiled slightly. "No. I'm fine. I'm glad you like it." Simon sat forward, putting his elbows on the table. "I didn't follow a recipe or anything."
He sighed softly but didn't argue with Simon, not wanting to ruin the nice dinner with more fighting.
"really? Well it came out pretty good, regardless of a recipe." He noted, happily eating some more
"Thank you," Simon said again. "You can take the rest home, if you'd like," he offered.
"not sure it'll all fit in the fridge, and that's if the cats don't eat it first." He chuckled lightly and stood, scooping Spooks up before she could start eating the lasagna. "Here, entertain your owner for a few moments." He said, setting the cat down in Simon's lap
"Um," is all Simon said in response to Razielle's 'present' (if you could call it that). "Thank you?" He rubbed Spook's ear and she pressed into his hand.
Raz just shook his head with a smile and settled back down to finish his food. "So if Lucifer doesn't know anything about the Diety, this puts us back at square one." He mused, bunching his lips to the side in thought "there's always research we can do but people only have such little knowledge that would be useful here. We need to get back to heaven. We could probably find something more helpful in the archives or something."
Simon pointed at him. "You need to go back to heaven. I highly doubt that: a) the angels will be happy to see me, or b) that they will approve of our detective work."
"I don't see why they wouldn't, it's to help find the Diety. It seems as if they'd need any help they can get. Though you might be right about them allowing you back in…though we might be able to maneuver around that if we have the excuse of it being necessary for our assignement with Urielle. Not many would argue with an archangel." He reasoned, leaning back in his seat as he finished hus meal
Simon shrugged. “Alright. If you say so. We’ll need to do that tomorrow. Go to heaven, I mean.” He popped the joints in his fingers and stood up.
Razielle nodded "I hope we can get into the archive. Gabriel will be hard to convince but hopefully he'll work with us than against us." He said softly, gently plucking a feather from his wing.
“Hopefully this will help my case somewhat,” Simon said, watching Spooks and Jack play in the livingroom.
"yeah, hopefully." He stood and went over to a window. He opened it slightly and let the wind carry the feather off. "Thank you always." Raz whispered, shutting the window before any of the cars could get the idea of escaping
“Why did you do that?” Simon asked curiously. He watched the feather float away on the current of the breeze, then looked at Razielle.
"to let them know we're coming back. It should reach Urielle soon so very he's the one who gave us the assignment." He explained, sitting down on the ground and watching as the cats played around.
“Oh. Interesting.” He watched Razielle with the cats, an odd feeling rising in his chest.
Raz nodded and flicked a toy in front of Jack and Spooks, watching as they pounced at it. He glanced up at arched an eyebrow "look who staring now." He teased, letting Spooks and Jack have the toy
Simon scoffed and looked away. “Whatever.” He sat next to Razielle, keeping distance between them.
Raz laughed and took the toy again, hiding it behind his back for a moment, letting the cats poke and prode at his hand and arms before rolling the toy across the floor for them to chase.
“You really like them,” Simon said, more as an observation than as a question. He was happy that Raz liked Jack and Spooks, but the tone of his voice implied otherwise.
Raz glanced over at Simon and nodded slightly "I've always liked animals. They're not a being I can read very easily so it's kinda like a break for me when I'm around them. Besides, they don't judge you. And thatsaso refreshing. They'll love you no matter what you've done, as long as they receive love back." He shrugged and scratched Jack behind the ears as he trotted back to them with the toy in mouth, Spooks close beside him in pursuit
Simon said nothing, but tilted his head to the right. After he thought for a moment he said, “Yeah. I guess so.”
"surprisingly, I'm not much of a cat person. I like the energy of dogs more. Way in the begingonwhen I first started therapy here on Earth, I had a black retriever. Silkiest and longest coat I've ever seen. I found her at the pound an immediatly knew I had to take her home. I named her Moon." He laughed softly as he described his dog, voice soft as he recalled the early memories of being a guardian angel. "Bad name I know but it suit her well. I used to bring her all around with me, even to therapist appointments. She calmed my patients down and loved each and every one of them." He took a deep breath and stroked Spook's coat.
“I think it’s a nice name,” he said mildly. He didn’t know what to say after that so he just looked down at his lap.
Raz smiled and nodded "she would have liked you." He added on softly, slowly standing so to as not to scare the cats as they played around with the toy.
"I'm going to keep going with the research for bit, maybe there's something that was missed or a clue as to where to look next. He said over his shoulder
