"I'm glad!" Arien said in turn. "And I really am sorry about Elliot. He's… not very good at treating humans with respect." Arien sighed a bit.
"I'm glad!" Arien said in turn. "And I really am sorry about Elliot. He's… not very good at treating humans with respect." Arien sighed a bit.
“Really I couldn’t tell.” He rolled his eyes before rethinking his sarcasm. “But it’s okay, no harm done, right?” He smiled over at him.
Arien actually chuckled at the sarcasm.
"Right." Arien smiled back, flipping the omelet he was cooking.
"And… yeah, he does some messed up things to humans." Arien shivered a bit.
"You… remember when I said leaving your soul to the ghouls? He would have been the ghoul…"
He shuddered. “Well I’m glad that’s not what ended up happening to me then.” He could hardly stand being stuck with that guy for five minutes, and that’s when he had Arien protecting him too.
Arien nodded.
"Me too." Arien liked Rafael- he was a nice man. He didn't deserve getting hurt like that. He finished cooking the omlet, sliding it on a plate.
Any other serious and profound thoughts Rafael had were then immediately distracted by food. “Smells good.” He commented with a smile.
"Good! How much would you like?" Arien carried the plate over, humming softly.
“I’ll take as much as you’re willing to give me.” He replied, chuckling softly. He was quite hungry.
Arien smiled a bit.
"Then here," he said, offering the entire plate to Rafael.
"Eat up, I made it for you."
“You sure? You don’t want any of it?” He asked, but began to take the plate nonetheless, not wanting to make Arien just hold it for forever.
"I'm sure," Arien said. He smiled. "I can get off what I had last evening, and some hot chocolate." He chuckled faintly.
He was going to argue with him but the food smelled so good that he merely shrugged before beginning to eat, a content smile on his face.
Arien smiled when he saw the look on Rafael's face. He turned, fixing himself a drink.
"Is there anything you'd like to do today?"
He paused in wolfing down the food to think. “Mm..not really. I mean you can’t go outside right now anyway, right?” He asked, not entirely sure on this fact.
Arien shook his head.
"Not unless I cover every part of my skin. I burn horribly." Arien shrugged a bit. He leaned against the counter, deciding to be special and add sprinkles to his cocoa.
“Yeah, so then we’re not going anywhere outside.” He sighed. “I don’t know, I don’t have any ideas for what we could do.”
"I see… perhaps we could watch movies together?" It was what he did anyway.
“That sounds kinda fun actually.” He replied, and having nothing else to say at the moment, went back to quickly devouring the remainder of what was on his plate.
"Awesome!" Arien smiled, moving out of the room for a moment. He needed to get a shower.
Rafael finished what food he had left before getting up, washing off his plate and putting it away. “Hey you almost done?” He called out, not exactly sure where Arien was.
"Almost!" Arien dried himself off, dressing in a simple white shirt and jeans. He stepped out, looking a lot less like a vampire and a lot more like a normal human.
“Well hey there stranger.” He said jokingly, chuckling softly. “You ready to watch the movie? Also any ideas on what we should watch?”
Arien chuckled in turn. He walked over to the couch, sitting down.
"I'm ready. And…" Arien tilted his head, thinking.
"What do you think on something that came out this year? Any you want to watch?"
Rafael sat down on the couch next to Arien. “Hmm..there’s a few I’d be interested in seeing.” He quickly listed them out. “Out of those, I don’t really have much of a preference.”
Arien listened, nodding a bit.
"Okay then!" He smiled softly. "I've been planning to watch some of those myself." Arien grabbed the remote, smiling again as he pulled up one of the movies.
Rafael lay back down on the couch, getting comfy before continuing to look at the tv as Arien looked at the options.
Arien let out a soft hum, finally settling on one of the most recent movies to come out. He started it, setting the remote down. He smiled softly, pulling his legs up under him and resting his head on his hand.
Rafael smiled, silently watching the movie. “I have a good feeling about this one.” He commented quietly.
Arien nodded.
"I've heard good things about it," he agreed. He glanced over at Rafael, smiling.
Rafael was really starting to like it here. He felt more at ease and almost safe here now. Which was weird to think about but it was true.
