“It’s okay..I forgive you I guess.” The situation had officially gotten so weird that he didn’t really know how to react anymore.
“It’s okay..I forgive you I guess.” The situation had officially gotten so weird that he didn’t really know how to react anymore.
Arien nodded a bit, looking up again.
"Ah… if you need me, I'll most likely be in the living room for the rest of the day." Arien stepped to the side, glancing at Rafael once before leaving. He was still visible as he sank into his usual seat on the couch, resting his head on the arm rest.
“Okay. I think I’m going to try and sleep for a bit so that’s where I’ll be if you need me.” He replied, staying in the doorframe for a second before walking back to his room.
(Timeskip? I do have some ideas for the night, when Arien can go out)
(Sounds good!)
Arien was still laid out on the couch, eyes half closed as the television droned on. He glanced at his phone. Almost sunset. He pushed himself up, stretching. He'd planned on having a friend over for a bit, so he figured it'd be best to warn Rafael. He stood, moving to knock lightly on the human's door.
Rafael answered the door after only a second or two, violin in hand. “Hey.” He said simply. He wasn’t sure what Arien wanted but he definitely wasn’t as scared as he’d been yesterday.
"Hello," Arien said. He rubbed his eyes a bit, but he wasn't near as exhausted looking as before.
"I just wanted to let you know one of my friends will be over a little after sunset."
“Okay. It’s probably best if I just stay in here then?” He offered. “So I should probably go get something to eat now..” Rafael really seemed to be adjusting to being here quite easily.
Arien nodded.
"Yes, I think that would be a good idea. My friend can be… overbearing." Arien stepped to the side, running his fingers through his hair. He had his mask off, showing the deep circles under his eyes.
“Okay then I’m going to go get dinner now.” He set his violin down before walking past Arien, back towards the kitchen. “You look tired.” He commented, frowning slightly.
"Well, I haven't slept for quiet some time. One of the drawbacks of being a vampire, I suppose." Arien shrugged a bit. "Meditation helps, but the streets are too busy at night anymore." Arien moved to his own room, changing into some different clothes. They looked pretty similar to what he'd just had on, of course. Arien came back out, heading to the kitchen for hot cocoa.
“That sucks.” He frowned before heading into the kitchen. He’d just grabbed whatever he could find that seemed enough for dinner and started eating, waving at Arien when he came in.
Arien nodded a bit in turn, still pretty groggy from his resting. He got himself the same drink he had the night before, sitting on the counter this time. Of course, he was starting to get hungry too, but he'd wait to say anything until Rafael was done eating.
Rafael finished eating rather quickly, within maybe five minutes or so. He got up, beginning to wash his dishes, humming softly under his breath as he did so.
Arien had his legs crossed beneath him, watching Rafael. After a moment, he got up, moving over to help him again.
"I'm sorry I'm not very good company," he finally said. He wasn't really the most socially awkward around, but he still felt like he could do better.
“It’s okay, you’re not that bad.” He smiled over at him softly. “Plus, I’m used to being by myself all the time anyway.” He’d finished washing the dishes and looked up at the other. “Is there anything you need or should I just go?”
Arien smiled back a bit, putting up the last dish.
"Actually, there is something I need to ask of you…" Arian sighed a bit. He felt awkward asking Rafael this, but he had to eat.
"Is it alright if I feed? I-If your not okay, I can just head out later."
He thought for a second before shrugging. “Yeah it’s fine with me I guess. I mean, that’s pretty much why I’m here right?” And based on his own experience last night..well he didn’t want to be the reason somebody else went through that.
"Right…" Arien stepped forward, going behind Rafael. He wrapped his arms around the other, mostly to help it keep Rafael upright if he felt light headed during this.
"Thank you," Arien said, his voice slipping back to the tone from the night before. It wasn't something he could help, really. He moved Rafael's shirt a bit, lightly placing his teeth there. He waited a moment, letting Rafael adjust, before finally biting down.
The whole process was still uncomfortable for him, but it definitely wasn’t as bad as the first time. He of course flinched at some parts, especially when Arien’s fangs sunk into his neck, but overall he was much calmer than the first time.
Arien held Rafael close to himself, feeding without a word. Anyone watching could have easily mistaken it for a lover's embrace, but Arien's eyes held a dangerous glint to them. He was a hunter, in the end. Finally, he pulled away from Rafael, not a drop spilled this time.
"How are you feeling?" He asked, slightly worried he'd taken too much.
“Mm..” He swayed slightly, “a little lightheaded but I should be fine. I’m just going to go lay down anyway.” He offered a small smile at the other to reassure him. “Don’t worry about me.”
"Well, hearing that just makes me worry more, now," Arien admitted. He left his arms around Rafael's waist, afraid that if he let go the human might fall. He picked Rafael up gently, carrying him towards the human's room.
“Oh my god, I’m fine! Promise! I can walk by myself.” Rafael insisted, gently punching him in the chest, not enough to actually hurt him, just enough to get Arien’s attention. But it was true that he was feeling a little tired and lethargic.
