(Yes.)
Revil put some water on to boil and he took out noodles and sauce for spaghetti. He grabbed a cold package of green beans and walked over, wrapping her ankle in it.
“Yes. You’re not. Rest.”

(Oh. Yeah. I don’t always make sure I don’t have any errors in my writing… Oops…)
Skylar squeezed her eyes shut as her vision swam, and she gave a small, silent nod as she leaned back into the couch. She shouldn’t let him do this for her. What if he found out who she was?
Revil walked away to the oven, where he leaned his weight onto the counter. She couldn’t be Kalypso. She acted nothing like the cocky superhero!
Skylar could feel herself drifting into sleep. The darkness would be a welcome reprieve from the pain…
Revil shook his head and looked down at the pot. He waved his hand slightly and it burst into a boil. He plopped the noodles and some olive oil into the pot and exhaled slowly.
Skylar felt herself start to drift off, and her head shot up as she gasped.
Stop. You can’t fall asleep here. Not now.
Revil jumped at her movement and looked over his shoulder. “If you’re tired, you can get some rest.”
“No, no. I’m good,” Skylar said quietly, trying to keep her eyes from falling shut again.
Revil nodded slowly. “Feel free to lay down if you want. The food won’t be ready until a bit later.”
“M’kay,” Skylar hummed, rubbing at her eyes. She just needed to stay awake a little bit longer…
Revil chewed on his lip. “Would you like a drink?”
“Water would be nice, thanks,” Skylar murmured, turning slowly to look at him.
Revil opened his fridge and grabbed out one of the many, many bottles that were in there. He shut it hastily before walking over and handing it to her.
Skylar smiled at him quickly before opening the water and taking a couple of sips. Maybe it would keep her head from spinning like a top…
Revil smiled back a bit and walked back over to his stove. “I think you should go to the hospital.”
“No,” Skylar said quickly. Maybe a little too quickly…
She tried to keep from crushing the flimsy plastic water bottle in her hand and simply stared at it. She couldn’t go to the hospital, they would ask too many questions. There was only o e place she could go, but Revil wouldn’t be allowed there…
Revil looked over and shook his head. “You’re hurt. You almost lost your balance and fell down the steps.”
“No, I’m not going to the hospital,” Skylar argued. “I’ll call my roommate if you insist on having me checked out. She knows where to take me.”
“Why can’t I take you?” Revil protested. “I’m a friend enough, right?”
“You are. And you’re great. It’s just… You have no idea where it is, and if you want me to get there quickly, the my roommate is the best option,” Skylar explained.
Revil huffed and glanced at the food. “Fine. Go ahead and call her.”
(I’m going to go to my friend’s house so she can dye my hair, so I might not be on much while that’s going on. Just so you know.)
“I mean, I’ll stay and eat if you want,” Skylar said, biting her lip. “I don’t want you to have to waste the food you made. And it smells really good…”
(Okay. Have fun!)
Revil shook his head, turning his back so he could stir the noodles. “You go get help.”
(Thanks! It’s freezing here!)
“Are you sure?” Skylar asked, biting her lip.
(I bet it is. It’s frickin cold here too)
Revil nodded and plopped the sauce into a sauce pan. He grabbed a spatula and stirred it slowly, turning on the burner for it.
