Revil glanced up at her through his long, low hanging hair and nodded slowly, causing his vision to swim again.
“Y-yeah I’m fine…”
Revil glanced up at her through his long, low hanging hair and nodded slowly, causing his vision to swim again.
“Y-yeah I’m fine…”
"Are you sure?" Skylar asked softly. "You look like you're about to pass out or something."
“Mhm… just gotta get up these steps…” He limped up a couple, clinging to the railing.
“Wait. Here, let me help you,” Skylar insisted, reaching out to him. As she did so, she moved her bad arm and sucked in a sharp, pained breath. Okay… So it might be broken…
Revil caught her breath and shook his head. “You go on. You sound hurt.” He continued limping up the steps.
“I’m fine. You look hurt. Let me help you to your apartment,” Skylar pressed, her arm held tightly against her chest once again.
Revil shook his head. “I’ll be fine. Have a good day.” He reached the top of the steps and hobbled over to his door.
“All right… If you’re sure,” Skylar said softly as she worriedly watched him walk away. She cradled her arm in her opposite hand and looked down at it. It might be a good idea to get it checked out, but she didn’t want to go through all the questioning at the hospital…
Revil leaned against the threshold of his apartment door and unlocked it, opening it slowly and leaning into the room. His cat greeted him, as always, with a meow and purrs.
With a sigh and a shake of her head, Skylar started up the stairs again, stopping at her floor. When she reached her suite, she set her bag on the ground and bent down to rifle through it for her keys. An organization system would be incredibly useful…
Revil shut the door with a deep sigh, pawing his cat away. She had enough food. He limped across the room and laid down on the couch, curling up around a pillow.
“Gosh dang it, why can I never find my fricking keys?” Skylar groaned as she dug around frantically. She subconsciously started using her bad arm and let out a cry of shocked pain. I am an absolute idiot…
Her keys were just not in there! No matter how much she rummaged and searched; no dice.
Skylar leaned back against the door and put her head in her hands… Well, hand… Her bad arm was tucked between her chest and her knees as she squeezed her eyes shut tight. Today was not going well for her at all…
No, sir. The narration agrees since she has nothing better to do ^-^
The narrator can help make something happen. Lol.
Maybe Revil could come out and see her in pain?
Revil himself is in pain. Maybe she makes a loud noise and he invites her in?
Or… We could skip again?
Or we could do that
(When should we skip to this time? Maybe they run into each other at a cafe or something?)
(Ooh cafes are fun)
(Yup. The next day? Or later?)
(Later?)
(I’ll start up, then.)
It was about a week after the last battle between Kalypso and Rush, and Skylar’s arm still hurt. The reason? Well… It turns out that there was a hairline fracture in her radius, which would explain why everything had hurt so much.
Skylar hadn’t seen much of Revil lately, but she had been really busy so she just assumed that was why. Today, she sat at a small table in a cafe, a cup of coffee in the table in front of her, her phone unlocked and showing a story on the screen beside her cup, and her arm in a sling.
(Thanks.)
Revil hadn’t gone out to the hospital, but his pain simpered away slowly until he could set his weight on it. He accepted it, but he was in pain for more than one reason. His magic was sending aching headaches through his brain. He decided to walk to the nearest cafe to get a bottle of water, and maybe to sit down to relax away from his cat.
