Alex looked down at his hands again for a moment. "But…" He let out a breath. "Okay." He said softly.
Alex looked down at his hands again for a moment. "But…" He let out a breath. "Okay." He said softly.
Gabe smiled softly at Alex again, returning to his food.
"You can stay here as long as you need to. If that means you never move out, that means you never move out. I want to makes sure you're safe above all else."
Alex blinked at him. "I…" he didn't know what to think of that offer. "You…you'd really let me stay?" he asked in a quiet voice.
"Of course, Alex," Gabe said. "You're my friend, and I'll never ask you to do anything that'll hurt you."
Alex swallowed softly. "But…" he didn't know what he was saying. "But I-I'm not…" Not sane. Not safe.
"Alex," Gabe said slowly. He set his empty plate down, turning fully back to Alex again. "Your everything you need to be. Even if it doesn't seem like it, you have it inside you. Even if it's different then other people's normal, you can still be you."
He shook his head a little bit. "But…" But my touch could kill you and…and I don't want that and… He bit his lip as he looked at Gabe.
"You're safe here," Gabe said. "No one can touch you here." Gabe tilted his head a little, putting his hand on the chair.
"That's not…not what I'm…worried about." he replied, biting his lip and knowing that if he told Gabe what he could do…it would not end well.
"Then what is?" Gabe asked. "I want to know. I want to help you." He leaned forward a bit, giving his full attention to Alex.
Alex shook his head a little bit. Knowing that the words "I see ghosts" would be a ticket right back to the asylum, and he couldn't do that again.
Gabe sighed a little, leaning back again.
"You can trust me," he said softly. "Nothing you say will make me kick you out."
He shook his head again. "I-it's not…it's…nothing." he said quietly, biting his lip.
Gabe nodfed a little.
"Just know that I'm always here to listen if you're ready to tell me."
He nodded a little as well. "I-I…alright."
Gabe nodded, then stood up. He took his plate away, looking back at Alex every so often.
"So, how are you enjoying the book?"
"It's, uhm, it's good." he replied softly, a little anxiously, shifting in the saet.
Gabe looked back over at Alex. He yawned a little, looking at the bedroom.
"I think I'm going to go to sleep," Gabe said.
"Alright. I'll…I'll be out here." he replied, looking up at the other male.
Gabe nodded, making his way into the room. He slipped his other layers of clothing off, all but collapsing on the bed. He hasn't admitted it, but he was exhausted
Alex opened up the book again, biting his lip as he sensed a ghost nearby. But he just concentrated harder on the book, trying to block it out.
(so… What do you want to do now? Gabe is basically blacked out unless Alex wakes him up)
(Yeah. I think our plans was for Alex to get super freaked out by a ghost again?? And eventually Gabe reads more of the journal?)
(okay then! I'll roleplay the ghost until Gabe wakes up?)
(sure!)
