@Icefire-Won-NaNo, here we are!
Yay! So like…how do we wanna do this? I have a little gay historical boyo from an asylum that might work, but idk what sort of genre you want to do, so I can only use him if we do history
I mean idk anything about what you've got in mind, but that's the character I immediately thought of
I've never actually done a historical rp before, so that could be interesting! And I don't really have anything in mind, because there are just so many ways to take these quotes.
Okay cool! He's got like…powers and stuff. I can explain more later, but I gtg for a while now
Okay, see you when you get back!
Here I'll post his form so you understand a bit more. He's from an old RP that died
Name: Alexander "Alex" Martin Swanson
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Sexuality: gay
Nationality: Irish-American (Mother immigrated from Ireland before he was born)
Family: Fiona O'Malley, mother. Dead. James Swanson, father. Unknown. No siblings.
Appearance: Alex is of about average height. He is pale, with just a few tiny freckles on the bridge of his nose. There are various scars scattered all over his body. He's too thin for his height. He has brown hair with hints of gold and red, which is about shoulder length. He keeps it tied back in a ponytail. His eyes are green, but turn black when he uses his powers.
Powers and abilities?: He can see ghosts, and cause death. If someone is going to die within twenty-four hours, he can see their ghosts too. He causes death usually by physical touch, but can do it from a distance if he tries really hard.
Personality: (rough, will be fleshed out more in RP) Alex is quiet, and shy. He doesn't talk very much. When stressed or upset or angry, he'll mumble "one two three" over and over and over and over until he's calmed down again. Any reminder of what happened to him in the past makes him start to break down. He's pretty much half insane, so.
Other: (this is just so you understand him a bit more) he was in a mental asylum in Britain for nearly four years, having been locked up in there against his will. More backstory will come out in RP
Oo, I really really like him!
I'll figure out a character that would do well with him.
Thanks! Alrighty! He'd fit best, time period wise, in maybe the late 1800s
So we could do the RP in like…1880-ish? If that works for you?
Okay, I think I've figured someone out!
Name: Gabriel Potter
Nicknames: Gabe
Age: 22
Gender: male
Sexuality: gayyy
Family: Maria Dunwiddie (pronounced Dun-woodie), mother- unknown. Johnson Potter, father- estranged.
Appearance: Slightly taller than average, Gabriel has tanned skin inherited from his mother, and he has dark brown hair that he keeps relatively short. The most noticeable part of him is his eyes; a piercing ice blue, they clash with the rest of him. He stays active, his body lean with muscles earned from his years working in a factory.
Personality: (very very rough, just a basic outline) Despite his past, Gabriel tries his best to have an optimistic outlook on life. The more he's brought down, the harder he fights, and the more convinced he is that this time in his life is just his trial by fire. Very religious, he tries to hide any indication he is gay.
Yeah, that works!
Ooh I like him!! So where would he live? Because I was thinking we could at least start the RP in like…New York? Since that's where most ships would have come in, and Alex has only just gotten back from Britain? Or we could start somewhere else, it's up to you
I was actually thinking Gabriel would live in Brooklyn, so that could work!
Alright cool! We should probably figure out how in the world they meet, though
hmmm… well, I know Gabriel loves to meet new people, so…
I got nothing XD
Lol oof. Uhm…maybe they bump into each other on the street, and Alex has a breakdown or something, so Gabriel helps him?
That could be interesting. Yeah, I like that idea!
Alright! Shall we get started?
Sure! Could you please do it?
(alright! Yup!)
Alex was mumbling under his breath again. "One two three one two three," over and over and over, not stopping. He hated large crowds like this, but he also hated being alone in a room. Walking like he was helped to make it better, as did the numbers, but…there was only so much he could do. Each time someone brushed past him, he flinched and pulled away, lip catching between his teeth.
Gabriel strolled down the street, humming a tune he had heard coming from someone's home. It was a happy tune, clashing with his slightly dirty appearance. He'd come to New York to visit a friend, but figured a walk could come first. So caught up in his thoughts, Gabriel didn't notice the person coming in the opposite direction, bumping into them with his left arm, too much contact to just be brushing by.
"Sorry!" Gabriel quickly said.
Alex flinched back, shaking his head quickly. He nodded. "'s okay." He said softly, still mumbling the numbers and tapping one hand on his leg in a strange, irrhythmic pattern that seemed to have no rhyme or reason to it.
Gabriel began walking again, but only made it a few steps before he turned around, going back to Alex's side.
"Hey… are you okay?" He asked. Despite many things, Gabriel couldn't help but grow concerned when he saw someone seeming to freak out, whether he knew them or not. He knew how some things worked, too; he'd been around people who had to count every step they took, or be terrified in a crowd. He was usually the only one around who would try to help, period.
Alex forced a nod. "I'll be fine." He replied faintly, ducking out of the street and into an alleyway to give himself a break. He leaned against the brick wall of a building, letting out a shaky breath. He didn't want help, he would just end up hurting the other person, and he didn't want that, not at all.
