Alex hugged him back, clinging to him.

Gabe gently rubbed Alex's back, kissing his head.

Alex looked up at him.

"I love you," he said gently.

"I love you too." he whispered.

Gabe gently kissed Alex's head.
"It's time to go," he said quietly.

Alex nodded faintly. "Okay…"

Gabe helped Alex finish putting the gramophone away, holding the horn close.

Alex looked up at him.

"I… we should go now." No use stalling.

He nodded a little. "Okay."

Gabe sighed, looking around once. He positioned himself, holding the horn to the bag.

Alex headed to the door.

Gabe followed close behind, keeping the horn on the bag.

Alex walked quietly, biting his lipa little.

"I love you," Gabe said softly, not wanting or expecting Alex to reply as they walked.

Alex smiled faintly at him in reply, not wanting to talk outloud and draw attention.

Gabe looked around as they walked.
"Turn here," he instructed, helping Alex to the train station.

Alex nodded, doing as Gabe said.

Gabe fell quiet, giving Alex instructions occasionally.
"We're almost there," he said softly.

Alex nodded a little, biting his lip.

They were getting to the more populated and crowded areas of the city. Gabe kept close, resting on hand on Alex lightly to give him comfort.
"The station is right there. We're so close…"

Alex nodded again, shrinking into himself a little as they got clsoer to people.

"I'm right here," Gabe promised softly as they entered the crowds. "Focus on your feet. I'll tell you were to walk, okay?"
