He shrugged faintly.

Gabe kissed Alex's head lightly again.

Alex sniffled quietly.

"I love you…" Gabe closed his eyes, tucking Alex away in his arms.

"I love you too…"

Gabe sighed softly. He couldn't even make food for Alex…

Alex held onto him, not wanting Gabe to disappear.

"I'm right here," Gabe promised gently. "And I'm not going to leave."

Alex sniffled softly.

Gabe closed his eyes.

Alex peeked up at him for a moment.

"You mean so much to me," Gabe said slowly, opening his eyes again.

Alex smiled faintly at him.

Gabe smiled slightly back.

Alex closed his eyes, pressing close to Gabe.

Gabe sighed softly, arms tightening around Alex.

Alex sniffled faintly.

"I've got you," Gabe said softly again.

He nodded faintly.

Gabe closed his eyes again.

(So, I was thinking of things to 'motivate' Alex and force him to the West. I've got:)
(1. running from the police)
(2. Moves west to get away from all the people)
(3. Henry is still an ass)
(I'm leaning towards 2 or three, but one could be interesting too)

Alex sniffled softly.

(I think 1. might actually be a bit more realistic? Since he's an ex-asylum inmate, and he's living in a dead man's house, and Henry was murdered?)

(Right! Should we have Gabe realize this, or should they have to escape when the police are knocking on the door?)

Gabe lightly kissed Alex's head.

(hhh I'm not sure)

Alex looked up at him carefully. "I'm sorry…"

"I… I know, Alex." Gabe gently kissed Alex's cheek.
