Ellis nodded a little bit. "I just meant…you seem tired and I don't want to encroach on your boundaries or anything…"
Ellis nodded a little bit. "I just meant…you seem tired and I don't want to encroach on your boundaries or anything…"
Lloyd shrugged. "Like I said, you can do what you want… I'm too tired to care at this point… goodnight, Ellis."
"Alright. Good night." he replied. He left the room to let Lloyd sleep, letting out a breath. Maybe he was in the clear.
(Time skip?)
(sure. to when?)
(Just to a bit later, I've got an idea ^^)
Lloyd woke up a few hours later and decided that he wanted to get up. When the nurse was distracted, he swung his legs over the side of the cot and stood up. He bit down hard on his lip to distract himself from the pain and started walking out the door. He was limping heavily and in immense pain, but he was forcing himself to walk anyhow.
(kk)
Ellis was sitting elsewhere in the palace, reading one of the textbooks Lloyd had given him, absorbing the information.
Lloyd managed to get outside somehow and grabbed his sword, figuring he might as well train if he was going to be stuck here a while.
Ellis got up to go for a walk, still processing everything he was reading. Sure, he had known a lot of the basic information, but now he knew more.
Lloyd headed into the training field and flew up, figuring it would hurt less if he wasn't putting weight on his leg. It was a bit better, but still incredibly painful. He ignored the pain, of course, and started training.
Ellis kept walking, humming softly and thinking over the details of everything he had learned. He had tied the kerchief back over his hair again.
After a few minutes of training through the pain, Lloyd started growing incredibly lightheaded. He ignored it until he found himself helplessly spiralling towards the ground with his vision fading. He tried to land on his feet, but he immediately collapsed when he touched the ground.
Ellis heard some noises from the training ground, and started to head that way, frowning a little bit. He spotted Lloyd on the ground, and his eyes widened, a curse slipping from his lips.
Lloyd's wings were ruffled again and he appeared to be unconscious. He was stirring a bit as he tried to wake up, but stayed mostly still for now.
Ellis darted over to the prince, crouching by him. "Shit. Fucking idiot." he grumbled, trying to figure out what to do.
(I mean, you're not wrong lmao)
Lloyd winced and stirred again, groaning softly in pain. He couldn't quite wake up still, but he could clearly feel the pain.
(lmao)
Ellis gently touched the prince's shoulder, hoping he would wake up or something.
Lloyd took several more seconds before he managed to open his eyes. He looked up at Ellis, his vision shifting in and out of focus. "…Hello…?"
"You're a fucking idiot, your highness." Ellis said, looking down at him.
Lloyd flushed a bit in surprise and embarrassment. He shifted his gaze down to the grass he was lying on. "Er… yes…"
"Now we have to get you back inside, and you've probably made everything worse." he grumbled. "Can you stand, or do I have to carry you again?"
"Um… I… I think I can do it…" Lloyd pushed himself up on his uninjured arm and then hoisted himself up onto his feet with his sword. He closed his eyes and took a few deep breaths while he swayed precariously, but he managed to stay upright somehow.
Ellis hesitated for a moment, then ducked under Lloyd's free arm, moving so that the prince could lean on him.
Lloyd glanced over at Ellis gratefully and allowed the other to support him. He still used his sword as a sort of walking stick as they headed inside.
