"It is," Mia agreed, voice soft. She wrapped her arms securely around Simon in turn, rubbing circles against his back.
"It's nice to be able to just rest…" It would be even nicer if they'd been left alone. If Astral had never tried to come back into their lives.
It really would’ve, but that was out of their hands. Simon hummed softly in agreement, enjoying the soothing touches.
Their lives were, literally, in Astral's hands, and he would do what he wanted with them. Mia let her eyes close for just a moment, her head still resting on Simon's forehead.
Simon decided just relaxing for a moment was a pretty good use of their time. He held on tightly to his friend, glad that for the moment, they were both okay.
Mia was glad too. She hummed softly, hand coming up to gently run through Simon's hair. They were okay, for now, and she would make it last.
Simon let out a content sigh, melting into the touch. He wanted this to last but he knew it wouldn’t.
Mia hummed softly after a moment, glad Simon could relax like this. She had no idea how long they had to be alone.
"Do we wanna do anything with our free time or just stay here and relax some?" He asked. They didn't have many choices though in all honesty. They were still small after all.
"I think relaxing here would be a good idea." Mia knew they were still small, on the table, and even then she didn't want Simon stepping out of the room and finally smelling the corpse.
((I totally didn't forget to respond to the actual rp shhhhhh))
Simon nodded. "Okay, sounds good to me." They could at least pretend that some part of this situation was their choice. He didn't know why Astral had suddenly decided to assert this much obvious control over their lives. They hadn't changed anything they were doing, all of a sudden the god was just…there. Astral was there practically constantly. And it was a constant guessing game of if he'd actually be in a good enough mood to spare them of any more trauma.
(Ahaaaa me either ^-^')
Mia had an idea why Astral was like this now. With the situation with Emile…
She wasn't going to tell Simon anything, though. It was best for them to keep him in the dark.
The woman let out a small breath, taking Simon's hand and giving it a squeeze.
Simon squeezed her hand in return, letting his head fall on her shoulder. It probably wasn't good that they got along as well as they did, but honestly, they both really needed the emotional support, even if it ended up blowing up in their faces.
They would be okay, for a time. She rested her head on top of Simon's, rubbing her thumb against the back of Simon's hand.
"Mm…" She would stay by Simon's side for as long as she could.
Simon smiled softly, content to just stay here with Mia in this happy moment forever. Things were okay right now.
Mia was content to do that as well.
They didn't get it forever, though. The door to the main room opened and closed, signaling Astral's return.
Simon sighed quietly, shifting away from Mia some. He didn’t want to give the god a reason to single her out after all. Even though Astral hadn’t done anything yet, Simon’s expression was already a bit darker, and his shoulders a bit more hunched.
Mia kept ahold of Simon's hand even as he pulled away some. She hated how instant the change in both of them was. She ducked her own head some, shoulders drawing in is some attempt to make herself smaller than she already was.
Astral stepped over to the room after a moment, looking down at the three inside. Simon didn't look like he was doing very well…
Simon tried to fix his expression, moving it back to a feeling closer to apathy. But what was the point? One look into his head is all it would take for the god to know how constantly unhappy he was.
Astral watched for a moment, not looking into Simon's mind for now. He didn't need to to understand why Simon was upset.
After the moment, Astral reached in, hands folding around Simon to lift him up and out.
Simon was surprised but he didn’t say anything about it, or try to struggle. He didn’t want to make things worse for himself. The faster he gave Astral what he wanted, the faster he’d leave them alone again.
Astral looked over Simon once before setting him down, touching a finger to his cheek to bring him to full size.
"Be back by dinner," the god said. "You can take the others with you, but the room stays here."
Simon merely stared at Astral in surprise for a few seconds before managing to pull himself together. “Oh uh- thank you.” He said, smiling quickly at the god before scrambling over to the room, carefully picking up Mia and Leo.
Astral nodded, smiling some. He really did intend to just let Simon have some time away to calm down and relax. If he was tense all the time, it could be bad for the child.
Mia had her arms wrapped around Leo, looking up at Simon a moment before over at Astral. She didn't trust him. Something was going to go wrong.
Simon walked quickly out of the room, his friends settled in his cupped hands. He made a beeline for the library, the only place at the moment where he’d feel safe. “We’ll just go for a little bit and then come back.” He said, trying to reassure them all.
"Alright, then… be careful, Simon. He doesn't like it when people don't do exactly what he says. And even then…" Mia sighed softly, resting her head on Simon's finger.
"We should get back well before dinner just in case."
