King's breath caught for a moment. The fuck was she doing? He held in his winces as she ran her hand over one of his bruises and since he had so much training no reaction came out of him. He watched her and swallowed again getting his breath back, "What, what ever do you mean by that?"
(trust me I know. She's crazy XD)
She stepped back, her finger reached the bottom of his abs before pulling away and putting her hands on her hips. "you can figure that out yourself hon" she flicked his forehead and stepped over to the counter, grabbing a piece of paper and a pen, doodling on it like she would normally do when she was bored, glancing over at him every once in a while, the same oh so challenging look on her face
King stayed there flustered for a moment his brain catching up to her actions. He could still feel the ghost of her touch on his skin trying to figure out what she meant by that. He took a step towards him seeing the challenge on her face. He put one hand on either side of her though one of them dropped back to his side. He stuck behind her, "It would be nice if you could tell me, darling." His voice drawled ever so slightly on the last word.
She twirled the pen between her fingers when she heard his voice, being ever so drawn into him as she leaned back. "and why would I? You're smart. Oh, but are you too innocent for my words?" her back leaned against his chest. She knew what she was doing, hopefully he wasn't as dense as she feared
King had an idea, well more than an idea, of what she was doing. He just needed the words out of her mouth so he could get his confirmation. In his world, the legal world, words were binding confirmation most of the time. He let his free hand faintly brush over the bare skin on the side of her stomach, "I may be smart, but," he leaned in to whisper next to her ear, "I want confirmation before this goes any further."
The air in her lungs stopped and her chest froze and she let out a shaky breath. What a change in personality. Was this man crazier than her? Maybe… She thought for a second, closing her eyes before leaning forward and turning around in her chair and getting close to his face. "oh my actions are plenty Comfirmation. But if you insist, I'll give you my permission" her minty breath soft against his lips
"Good," King felt his cheeks turn red. He could easily kiss her right now, but was that what he really should be doing? Before he could give himself a second thought he lightly put his lips on hers. Everything about her was soft and he couldn't tell if that was a good thing or not.
She wasn't anticipating this, but she was fine with it. Leaning in, slightly overpowering him, she kissed him back before pulling away, her hand on her chest. "well, I hope you've learned something useful here" she says with a smirk
King wasn't, well he was, expecting her to overpower him. He had a slight smirk on before stepping away just a slight bit, "I might have. Though the lesson may take a few times before it truly sinks in."
She raised her eyebrows at his comment, pulling him closer as she pulled herself close to him, her chest pressing against his as she kissed him one more time. "let that sink in" she whispered
King kissed her back before he leaned back. He thought for a moment not moving far away from her. He whispered back well aware this was a public place, but she had moved first, "I will. No promise it'll stick though."
She was glad this place wasn't very busy. The man in the back was too busy organizing things to care. He had OCD which helped everything alot actually.
"well I'll have to make it stick then" she kissed him more aggressively before pulling away.
King leaned into the kiss though he hadn't expected it to be so aggressive. He ran through different options in his mind as she pulled away from him. He had a lazy grin on knowing that while it was all pleasant here, things could turn for the worse in an instant, "I don't think it's sticking. Maybe we can continue this after the work day is over?"
Her finger ran up from his abs to his stomach, his collarbone and along the muscles in his neck, stopping at his chin making him look up at her. "that'd be nice" she kissed his cheek before standing up, her finger slipping from his chin. "so, anything you'd like to know? About that store I mean" she winked at him, knowing all too well how that could have been taken the wrong way.
King was in slight shock once again feeling the ghost of her touch on his skin. He snapped out of it much faster and looked to Aria with a smile. She had agreed, thank the lord, and so this whole thing could continue later. Though he figured the entire time here would be playing a big game trying to make the other falter. He responded very calmly first taking the question down a path that shouldn't have been traveled before going down its actual intention, "How many customers do you get on a regular day?"
She scoffed, finding it amusing how quickly he could change.
"about 20 if it's busy around town maybe thirty. Though that's just my shift. I heard its busier closer to 12. We close at midnight."
He had been told throughout most of his life it was shocking how quickly he could change. At first, he had found it a worry, but now he was grateful for the skill for a multitude of reasons. He wrote down the numbers and looked to Aria, "And your shift is from?"
She turned around, thinking about something else. She hoped her lip gloss hadn't smeared on his lips. Thought she laugh a bit when she saw a small sparkle and a gloss on his lips. "6 to 3 in the afternoon" she says putting her thumb to his lips, gignerly wiping the lip gloss off with a giggle.
King softly kissed her thumb when she went to wipe his lips. He figured she was wearing some makeup and it had been left on his lips. He wrote down the specifics above his notes, "Good to know, that's when I'll be around too. Anything else you think I should know?"
She smiled at his comment, pulling herself up on the counter to sit on it, licking he feet back and forth like a kid. "well, if you would like to talk to Flora about anything else" she shrugged. "oh, write down the fact that we have candy. It needs to be advertised" she nodded contently
King laughed as he wrote that down. He looked back up to Aria smiling, "You realize I'm not going to advertise with my notes. And I would much rather speak to you than Flora, your manager looks tired."
She pouted, sticking her bottom lip out dramatically as his candy comment. “Thats what you should do. Hold out a twirling sign saying we have candy. That’ll work. It’ll be much better than what you’re doing right now, i can assure you that. I can accompany you” she smiled sweetly.
"Hell. No," King responded emphasizing each word. He would tolerate a lot of things, but he refused to do that. He wasn't a salesman despite what some people want him to do as Crystalline, "I refuse to do that understood?"
Her eyes widened then rolled as if he told a stupid joke. “Fine fine. Not a salesmen huh” she laughed.
“So is there anything else you need to know?” She tilted her head like a puppy whenever it saw a treat. And she definitely saw a snack in front of her (wink)
(God.) King thought for a moment at her question. He looked at Aria seeing her do the puppy dog tilt head and could feel his heart melt just slightly, "I would ask more questions if I remember the exact assignment."
