(Sorry Lol)
Once she got to the main office, the lights were off and the glass door was open, to make it seem like nobody was in there.
The room changed to a rubber room, pointing out exactly where the man was hiding. Underneath his desk? What an idiot. Truly.
Everything changed back to normal, she flickered the lights on and sang to herself.
"Come out come out wherever you are. Mercys here" she says soothingly with a sadistic smile across her face. Her shoes tapping against the floor, closer….and closer…and closer to the desk.
She soon reached the desk and flipped it over, revealing a man, who before she could see what position he was even in, he got up, putting his fists in the air, ready to take her down. But little did he know.
"Now child, you really believe you can take me?" She asks with a little laugh.
"Pfft you're a woman, of course i can" he scoffed. Which made Aria….quite annoyed.
"Come at me, bitch" she hissed
From there the man thrashed at the woman, though she expertly dodged all of his punches. She grabbed his wrist, as quick as lightning he man was down to the ground and a knife to his throat as she sat on top of him.
“Why do you do it huh?” She asks, her pink hair falling over her shoulder as she forcefully held him down. The soft edge of the blade running slowly down his cheek, slicing into his flesh as he winced in pain.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” He says spitting in her face. Wiping it off with her glove, she shook her head. Before she could say anything else she smiled as she heard light footsteps above them.
“You shouldn’t have done what you’ve been doing. That’s how you ruin lives” she leaned closer, the blade going through his cheek as it sliced it right open.
“That’s how you create people like me” she whispered in his ear before raking the blade out of his face, letting his scream before with both hands, stab the both sides of his neck, he arms crossed so when she uncrossed them, it slit his throat two different ways. She stood and pulled the blade she out, stepping out of the hall with little splatter of blood on her face.
“Well, I think we have a visitor.” She walked along the halls as her finger covered in blood made a bloody streak along the wall, swirling into a smiley face when she stopped.
“There you are” She says with a smile when she saw the hero. She never could remember his long name. Soon the atmosphere changed around them to a pretty meadow with no one else but the bodies around them and the two.
“I was wondering when you would come” she smiled, blood dripping from her fingertip.
Her voice as sweet and tender, soft like a sirens whenever she’s talked.
Her green eyes gleamed with content
King had spotted the blood on the wall before the area turned into a pleasant meadow. Minus the dead bodies. He aimed his blade towards her and reached for one of his rubies knowing they were still in the hallway. In his head, he was horrified that so many were already dead. He hadn't been that late had he? Glancing around he supposed he had been. Despite the inner turmoil he shrugged slightly as he kept a stern face on. To say he was unnerved by Mercy would be one word for the mix of emotions he felt, "I had prior commitments. Though I see now I came too late to help any of these people."
She laughed a little “well then next time you’ll know I’m the topmost priority” she says confidently although she would never believe that.
Being that important to someone? No. That wasn’t a thing to her. Not anymore.
She used to dream of when she would have a lover and everything would Be fine.
She noticed him peering at the bodies and her eyes widened. “Oh, would you like me to get rid of them? I wouldn’t try to burn them or anything though. I recommend freezing them. And yes, I’ve done my homework on you. Not bad lookin” she looked him up and down, snapping her fingers and the bodies were gone.
“And dangerous.” She smiled, rather sharp canine teeth showing. She wasn’t a vampire or anything. She just had normally longer canines that she would run her tongue over whenever she was bored.
“Elements huh Mister pirate?” She tilted her head, taking a step forward.
“What made you like pirates so much anyway?” She raised her eyebrow as she continued to walk towards him
King kept the ruby in hand. He watched as the bodies disappear and didn’t move as the crazy villain approached him. His blade remained pointed at her though his other hand went and reached for another gem. He kept himself loose and ready, “I’ve done my research too miss illusionist. As for the pirates, well thats a bit personal isn’t it? Almost like asking you why you decided to start killing eh?”
She kept one walking forward, a slight glitch in her skin but that was all.
She stopped when she was pointed to the blade right an her chest with a smile.
“Do it” she whispered before her body disappeared in a glitch as if From a video game. An arm from behind him, grabbing hi so wrist, twisting it and pressing him against the wall and leaned in, whispering in his ear.
“So what did you come here thinking you would accomplish huh?” She asked him in a challenging voice. “Move and your arm breaks. I have it between your shoulderblades and if you did you would stab yourself in the back. Sheer force isn’t what everyone makes it to be. With moves like this, a child could take a man down” she purred.
“Don’t worry. I won’t kill you. I just want to know….did you think you could take me?” She’s asked, genuine concern in her voice as fin saying “why would you think that?”
She was too confident for her own good, and the good of others.
King had noted the glitch initially but was thrown off not expecting to be pinned to the wall. He let out a grunt as his body slammed up against it. His hand curled around the air and fire gems in his hands to the point it was white. He heard her words and questions. The purr threw him off though. His mind raced, but slowed so he wouldn't do something stupid, "You're pretty arrogant aren't you?"
King said nothing more as he braced himself before using the two gems. A torrent of flame and wind shot put up between what little space was between him and Mercy hiping to increase the gap between them. There was nothing else he could do in the place and so now he was retreating. She said she wouldn't kill him, but he didn't know that. However, he did know that he would have burns, but it was fine. He had dealt with worse before.
Once the light of the flames came into her sight, she quickly jumped back with an excited look on her face. Though her hand had caught on fire for a split second before she patted it out.
"Oh I see how it is. Well Mister pirate, it was lovely to meet you! I we hope we can meet again" she called out to him before he had disappeared. "until next time" she waved to him with a smile.
King had scampered off the moment she had let go. His heart was racing with adrenaline and though he could tell he had bad burns on his hands. He couldn't feel them. He made it out of the building in record time before hoping on his bike and riding off. Her last few words rang in his ears. Had he made the right move? He certainly hoped he did. He finally made it back to apartment and the dull ache in his hands turned into a deep rooted pain. He had gotten himself pretty good.
She looked down at her soft hands and at the burns. "dammit. That didn't go as planned. How does he do that?" she thought it was quite cool. She needed to up her studying. Figure out his weaknesses. Maybe she could even meet some of the villains he's defeated. She would have to find a way to get in first.
Oh well, she didn't need to worry about that now. Not yet anyway.
She took out the man's phone whom she killed. Dialing the cops and telling them the address. "catch me If you can." she says dropping the phone. She waited until she heard police sirens to leave out the back.
King had grabbed one of his light blue crystals and held in his palm. He winced at the pain and moved so he went to his more secluded area of the apartment. Thankfully, his roommate wasn't home yet and could somewhat heal himself before they arrived. He pulled out a dull red crystal and placed it on his hands, hissing slightly he willed the crystal to take the heat away from his skin. He wanted to cry in relief as the pain dulled once more. The gem was now glowing quite considerably. He pocketed the gem and started to change hoping to take a cold shower to help ease his pain.
She slipped out and walked down the sidewalk with her sister on the phone. "hey Kaiya! Sweetheart. Meet at the coffee shop around the corner. Yeah, wait. No. I mean, yeah maybe a little. No! Just… Look at the news! I know I know. Hey, I'll tell you what. I'm paying. No I didn't take his money" she says shaking her head, approaching the coffee shop as a small yellow car pulled up and a short brown haired girl, her curly hair in a Bob with straight across bands and freckled cheeks and nose. A bright smile on her face When she came and hugged her big sister. She was adopted so she looked nothing like her sister, but they loved eachother just as much.
King got out of the shower and reached for the roll-up bandages. He made quick work wrapping his hand up and checked out his back and sighed. At least that part hadn't gotten burned. He looked down at his hand and only hoped it wasn't as serious as it had looked. If it was a 3rd degree burn, like he feared, then he wasn't going to have a hard time coming up with an explanation as to how he got it. No one knew he was Crystalline, and he wanted to keep it that way. He changed back into his lazy clothes and saw his phone ringing. It was, his roommate. He answered, "Hey. Yeah, I'm home. Why do you ask? Thought someone broke in? The hell made you think that? No, it's just me. Just was… Busy that's all. Listen I don't complain when you bring home girls, so I get to do my weird stuff too. Yeah, yeah. Bye."
(I am so sorry. I had this long thing all typed out and it all got deleted because right then my connection got caught off and I literally have no more will to live)
(I'll try to get it up soon though)
(It's fine. Take your time!)
Her little sister pulled out a hoodie and held it out to Aria after she gave her almost all of her weapons to put in the hidden compartment of her car. She didn't like it when Aria was dangerous or anyone was targeting her.
Aria bent down through the car door and her eyes widened in a smile before she grabbed a plague doctor bird like mask and turned to her sister “you fixed it! Oh thank you Kaiya!” She hugged her sister before setting it down carefully in her car and closing it, pulling her long hair up into a ponytail and held her sisters hand as they walked into the coffee shop. Flirting with the guy at the counter a bit as they ordered and they soon sat down together as they haven’t done in a while.
“So, hows it goin with your girlfriend huh?” She asked with a smile before it disappeared
“Actually, she broke up with me. She said she didn't really love me and i was just a placeholder” tears swelled up in her eyes and her fist tightened and Arias face turned dark.
Her little sister looked up to Aria “its fine. I’m fine. You don't need to do anything. It just hurt a little”
“Why would someone do that?” She mumbled, looking away with a sour face.
“That b!*ch. where is she?” She asked quietly
“Ari. Seriously, i don't want her hurt. I’m happy for her that she has someone she actually loves now” she smiled, though it only made her angrier.
“Okay…. but if i see her come around you i swear, I’m gonna-“ Aria was interrupted by a girl serving their coffee with a little slice of overpriced cheesecake.
King hung up the phone and ran a hand through his hair. He checked through his notifications silently praying no one else was causing trouble today because he had to get his coursework done. He grabbed his laptop and decided rather than working in his apartment, which would be the smarter option at this point, but rather work at the coffee shop nearby. Mainly because he could get a free coffee with his employee discount. Thinking back on it his life was busy enough, but there wasn't much he could do about. Taking his laptop and a few of his books he dropped them into a bag before heading out of the apartment and out into the world. This was such a bad idea.
(Question before i reply)
(So are they like already friends outside of work? But like they just dont know who eachother are or what? Or are they not friends yet and they become friends? What’s their relationship rn?)
(I would say don’t know who each other are outside of work(villain/hero work I’m assuming) but would be friendly enough to talk to each other outside of work. That’s my take on it at least.)
(okay that works!)
(I'll try to get mine up soon)
(Ah sorry, i thought i replied yesterday! Ill get it up)
Aria swung her legs back and forth underneath the table as she talked to her sister, catching up about what’s happened over the past month they’ve been apart. Her sister had a camping trip for her highschool that she had to go to for a week and Aria had some things she also needed to do.
She was well aware of what her little sister thought about her. She didn't want Kaiya to be like her so she didn't talk to her about it or even mention anything on the news and neither did she.
So they both always pretended it never happened. Kaiya knew that she didn't come from a good background, though she didn't know what. Aria never talked about it and never would. Not to her little sister.
Horrible things happened to her when she was younger, she didn't want Kaiya to have to even think about it and feel bad for her. Aria was her big sister after all! She was supposed to be strong.
They talked and laughed until the bell to the coffee shop rang and a man stepped through the door.
She kicked her little sister under the table and nodded towards him. “Hottie alert” she smiled and her sister just laughed. “He's probably not single. With those looks he most likely has a girlfriend.” She says taking a bite of her small slice of cheesecake before twirling the straw around in her iced coffee.
