She smiled sweetly at the girl who couldn't decide which of her mother's credit card to use. Aria herself didn't have much money and she made good money here. The only reason she actually has this job. She could simply steal all of those men's money whom she killed. But that would never get the point across. Every now and then she would even leave a dollar on their bodies. A tip for their lovely services.
"have a wonderful day sweatheart" she says waving her goodbye as she talked back to her mother on their way out.
King waited until the girl left before stepping up to Aria. Even he could tell that girl had been loaded with cash, probably her mother’s cash, buts still. He kept his notebook open, “Are a lot of your customers rich like that?”
She rolled her eyes, leaning on the counter, facing him "not really. Just her. She comes in here every week with a different relative and a different personality" she ran her fingers through her hair "no, most customers are more higher middle class to lower middle class. They only get like 7 items usually."
"Got it," King wrote that down and nodded. He brushed the stray hair out of his face and let out a sigh leaning against the back wall. He raised an eyebrow as he ran through her first sentences, "So you have one really rich customer, and then the rest are middle, working, class?"
She nodded as she pressed her full lips together, a red tint to them. She would have worn lipstick today and it would have gone perfectly with her outfit, but she didn't have time. She was going to be late if she took the time to do anything else.
"you still have my number pretty boy?" she asks leaning against the wall beside him, her shoulder pressed against it as she was facing him.
"Yes, I do," King responded looking over at her with a raised eyebrow. He found his eyes straying from where he was supposed to be looking. He mentally scolded himself since he hardly knew the girl. With that thought in mind he managed to remain focused, "Why do you ask?"
She saw his eyes and let out a small laugh. Guess she was distracting after all. But it wouldn't be fun if she changed.
"oh I was just wondering. I'm guessing you've been too busy to call Huh? " she says pushing herself off of the wall and walked to the counter, swaying her hips as she did. She reached over the counted and grabbed two suckers out of the glass jar.
"Yeah a little too busy," King responded thinking back on the past few days. Busy was an understatement. He paused noticing the saw of her hips and quickly figured out what she might have been going for. He kept himself calm and pushed off the wall as well standing behind her, "Are you allowed to take those suckers?"
She laughed when she came to a stop in front of the man, raising an eyebrow "honey, I bought these myself." she says handing them to him, still laughing the smallest bit as she unwrapped it and popped it in her mouth. "I thought it would be fun to have candy here for the customers. They seem to like it. Flora does to. So I've kept them here" she looked over to him. "so, what have you been oh so busy with Huh? "
"I see," King nodded pocketing the candy rather than sucking on it. He shrugged and put his hands in his pockets at her question. Most of his free time over the past couple of the days were spent fighting villains that just wouldn't take a break. He had begun to wear gloves to hide his bandages and now had bandages in a couple of other spots wrapped up now. Not that he was ever going to tell her that, "Law school and work mainly. I live a very busy life ya know?"
"ha, with your looks I bet you do" she says taking the sicker out of her mouth for a second, licking it once. "how's lawschool goin for Ya? Are you getting good grades?" she popped the sicker back in her mouth
King rolled his eyes at her comment. He didn't have the time for what she was implying nor the interest at the moment. He let out a sigh, "It's going fine. Why do you ask?"
(ahhhhhhhh)
(I had it typed out but then as it was posting I went to delete one tab and I accidentally deleted this one TT~TT)
She was getting quite bored from his lack of interest. But she knew how to push it. And she would.
"well, two reasons" she held up two fingers before putting one down "one.. For the sake of conversation. We don't want it to get boring do we? I wouldn't want for you to have a bad experience here" she says rather innocently before stepping closer to him "and two. I would like to get to know you King" her voice went to a hushed tone as her finger lightly traced a line down his bicep before stepping away before he could react and stepping over to the counter to greet a customer with a peppy smile as if what she just did never happened
King could still feel the faint touch of her finger on his bicep. Just what did she think she was doing? He debated in his mind as she spoke with the customer as to what to do next. He could shut her down further or go along and see where this might lead. As she continued on he eventually decided, that fine. If this was the game she was playing he would play along. It had been a while since he took a break from the chaos that was his life. He had a slight smile on as he watched her, their next conversation would be interesting.
(Lol I feel that real hard.)
"oh that's totally fine" Aria said to the little girl as she took a lollipop from the class bowl. She stepped out of the counter space and helped the girl and her father look for some cute clothes. Customer service was every thing here. Well to her at least. Once they found a few cute outfits and a pair of shoes they went to the counter to pay.
"that'll be $50.27 please" she says kindly. The girl look up to Her dad, tugging the hem of his shirt as he sighed. "baby, we don't have enough to get those shoes along with every thing else" he says to her.
"oh thatsnfije, I've got you covered" Aria whipped out her wallet and pulled out a 20 dollar bill, adding it in with their money. They talked for a few more seconds, And soon they were out, just as she planned. She turned back around and bit her lip. She shouldn't have done that… She didn't have much money herself. Burnt was fine. If it made her happy. She watched as the little girl held her father's big hands as they walked out. It reminded her of her own father. But not in a good way
King watched as Aria paid for the girl's shoes. He stepped up behind her while she appeared lost in thought after the purchase. He didn't know why that would be so, maybe something had triggered a memory or thought of hers? He wasn't sure, but it wasn't completely unlikely. He spoke softly from right behind her, "That was very nice of you."
A glitch in her mind and a little on the outside world to blurred her vision and likely anyone else's fornomly a split second as the villain was caught off guard.
She turned around, quickly she spun around to see him and she quickly let go soon enough to not actually hurt him. She pushed herself against the counter as she backed up and her face turned red. She definitely didn't expect this. "Wh-what do you think you're doing?" she whispered, her chest rising and falling as she looked at him, her hair falling from over her chest to her back as she leaned.
What exactly was he doing? Was he turning the tables on her? Was he possessed!? Yep, that's definitely it she decided
King stepped back at her reaction. He, he hadn't been expecting that. And now he felt bad for spooking her, even though it was completely unintentional. He saw her red face and leaned back against the wall and tried to keep his calm exterior. He responded to him his voice soft and soothing, "What do you think I'm doing? If you want me to not do this, just say so. Though you did start it."
A smile curved up her glossy lips in realization. "oh I see what you're doing." she stepped up to the wall right in front of him, putting her hand on one side above his shoulder. She found it quite adorable the fact she was taller than him.
She leaned down to his face only a tiny bit as she was close to him "you can't beat me at my own game"
King's cheeks turned red once more at her position and the realization that she was taller. But more importantly, why was that slightly attractive? He looked up at her eyes realizing that he was essentially in a pinned position. He swallowed before responding to her accusation, "I'm not going to argue with that statement. Whatsoever."
"good" she says getting closer ever so slightly, taking advantage of her height. "if you did you might have some trouble on those hands of yours" she smiled.
King swallowed again as her face got closer to his. His blush spread to his ears and the back of his neck. It had been, a while to say the least since he had been in this compromising of a position with a girl. So understandably he was just a little out of practice, "Understood. Though don't you have work to do?"
"no customers right now. I would have heard the bell at the top ring if there were" she says as her hand made her way to his chest, lining his muscles "though you could use some work" she whispered
(she's such a flirtatious butthead, I apologize for her behavior but at the same time I'm. Definitely not sorry XD)
(Lol, I can tell that much. My god. The flirt of this woman.)
