Melissa nodded and smiled. She picked up some rainbow heart sprinkles. “These look cool!”
Melissa nodded and smiled. She picked up some rainbow heart sprinkles. “These look cool!”
"Oh, good choice!" Ciel nodded and pulled out another jar. "Those have to be in my top five favorites. These are, as well." She showed them to Melissa. They were small, almost like glitter, with a beautiful iridescence to them.
“Those look really nice!” She says her smile growing. “What about icing?”
"Well, we're in luck. Gema just got some chocolate frosting from the store. I think she was planning on making some lemon cake later… but since we're making it now, so we're fine." Ciel set the jar of sprinkles down and picked up a can of pre-made frosting. "It's not homemade, but… that's about the best we can do." She laughed and set the frosting down next to the sprinkles.
Melissa smiled. "that's perfect!" She said. She walked over to the cake and hovered her hand over it to test if it's still hot. "The cake should be good. Now we just need a big plate or something."
"Good." Ciel listened to Melissa, then nodded. "Here…" She opened a cabinet and pulled out a large glass plate. "Would this work? If not, feel free to pick the best one." Ciel waved at the rest of the plates with her free hand.
“That’ll work!” She said taking the plate. She washed her hands really quick and then picked up the cake pan. Flipping it over and then placing it right side up on the plate.
"Wonderful!" Ciel grinned and leaned against the counter again, watching Melissa. Everything she did was just so graceful and beautiful… Ciel blinked, realizing she was drifting into dreamy daydreams. She shook her head really quick and focused on the cake.
Cat gathered the frosting and sprinkles and picked up the butter knife she used before. “If you want you can get another so we can both frost!” She said looking at Ciel. She tried to make sure she only glanced for a second.
"Oh, I will." Ciel grabbed a knife and stood next to Melissa. "There's no way I'm letting you have all the fun." She smirked at Melissa, trying to get her emotions back under control. Sure, there could be a little flirting, but getting all dreamy and mushy? No way.
Melissa smiled and nodded. “Wouldn’t dream of it,” she said opening the frosting.
Ciel grinned at Melissa and stuck her knife into the frosting. "I'm just going to warn you, though, I'm not the best at this." She put a bit of frosting onto the cake and started spreading it.
"That's ok! Bet you'll do great," She said smiling wider. She copied Ciel.
"We'll see." Ciel scooped another bit of frosting onto the cake and spread it on. It was calming, in a weird sort of way. And it helped that Melissa was right there, doing the same thing. She looked over at Melissa with a small smile, then glanced back at the cake.
Melissa smiled and took a bit on her finger. She went to boop it on Ciel's nose. She smiled.
"Oh, you…!" Ceil exclaimed, grinning wildly. She put a bit of frosting on her finger and booped Melissa right back. "Payback, darling!" Ciel smirked playfully.
Melissa laughed and wiped the frosting off her nose. “Hey I couldn’t resist!” She said bumping Ciel’s shoulder lightly.
"I can see why. I simply couldn't resist either, though part of that might have been wanting the sweet feeling of revenge!" Ciel exclaimed, clenching her fist dramatically. She bumped Melissa's shoulder back and wiped frosting off her nose, then went back to peacefully spreading frosting onto the cake. As she did, Ciel glanced over at Melissa with a wide grin on her face. This was so much fun!
Melissa focused on the frosting. Her tongue sticking through her lips slightly.
Oh, why did Melissa have to do that? She looked so cute, it was ridiculous. Ciel only allowed herself a few seconds of staring before looking back at the cake.
When they where done frosting the cake Melissa smiled. “Great now for sprinkles!” She said looking up at Ciel.
"Yes!" Ciel grabbed the two jars of sprinkles, handing the rainbow one to Melissa and keeping the other one for herself. "So, you have any artsy ideas, or is it a free-for-all?"
“I say free for all,” she said smiling. She took the rainbow sprinkles.
"Wonderful." Ciel unscrewed the lid of the jar, inspecting the cake a bit before sprinkling some around the top. "This is going to be such a colorful and glittery cake. I love it already." She shook more sprinkles onto the top of the cake.
Melissa smiled and nodded. She sprinkled some of hers around as well. Making Nd sure hers and Ciel’s glittery sprinkles got mixed.
