Cas nodded weakly. "I just w-want him to love me…"
Cas nodded weakly. "I just w-want him to love me…"
"I don't think he ever will," Halm said softly.
Cas cried a bit harder, and he continued until he couldn't cry anymore. At that point, he was shaky and exhausted, and he didn't feel like moving.
Halm held Cas the entire time, gently rubbing his back. When Cas eventually stopped, Halm gently pulled away a little, carefully cupping his cheek.
Cas closed his eyes and just let Halm hold him. He was pale and weak by now, and he was so tired.
Halm carefully laid down, Cas on his chest.
Cas yawned and lay weakly on Halm. He was shivering from the cold and trying to be as close to Halm as possible.
Halm carefully wrapped his jacket around Cas, helping him to start warm.
Cas eventually went limp on Halm, having fallen asleep.
Halm carefully held Cas, trying to not move him as he carried the human to his bedroom.
Cas stayed asleep, still drained from crying for so long. He whined softly and huddled close to Halm in his sleep.
Halm held Cas close. He carefully, softly, hesitantly kissed Cas's forehead, slowly falling asleep himself.
(Tiiime skip)
Cas was naturally still sleeping when Halm awoke. He tended to sleep in, and he was out colder than usual.
Halm looked down at the sleeping Cas in his arms, gently pulling away.
Cas whined softly and reached out for Halm in his sleep, starting to tremble slightly a few seconds after Halm pulled away.
Halm sighed softly, laying back down with Cas.
Cas sighed contentedly and huddled up with Halm again, his shivering slowly subsiding.
Halm chuckled a little.
"You say you're an adult, but you still at so much like a child."
Cas yawned and tucked himself under Halm's chin to try and be closer. "Mmmmmmm…"
Halm chuckled, wrapping his arms around Cas.
Cas sighed softly and shifted around a bit to be more comfortable. He seemed pretty content for the moment.
Halm rested with Cas a bit more, but eventually he really did have to get up. He pulled away again, not letting himself be pulled back down.
Cas whined again and buried himself in the blankets for warmth. It was pretty hard to see him considering how large the comforter was.
Halm sighed a little, tucking Cas as securely in the blankets as he could.
Cas yawned and seemed to settle back down when he was sufficiently warm, no longer whining for attention.
