Timmy was the most awake, and he nodded some. Tommy was still comepletely out of course, but he was shifting around like he was having a nightmare. Tammy was holding him close, looking up at Rowan and nodding just a bit, barely managing a small smile.
"Alrighty… it's a lovely day outside, so… hopefully it'll be good." Rowan took Matthew's hand and walked outside with him.
Matthew walked hand in hand with Rowan, holding the nest close.
"It'll be good," he said softly.
"Where are you gonna take us?" He asked softly. "Somewhere pretty?"
Matthew nodded.
"Yes. The gardens are in full bloom all year long thanks to the caretakers, and it's an amazing sight."
Rowan smiled weakly and nodded. "Sounds good to me. Is it far?" He asked.
Matthew shook his head some.
"Not at all! We should get there in a few minutes."
"Sounds good to me." Rowan walked along at Matthew's side, glancing around as he did so.
The city was just as bustling as it had been before, almost buzzing with energy.
"Mm, oh, it's right up there!" Matthew said with a grin, pointing.
Rowan smiled a bit and held tighter to Matthew's hand. He started looking around once they were in the gardens.
It was… big. There were many different kinds of flora, and there didn't seem to be any line drawn as to what was and wasn't possible. Near every kind of plant imaginable, and many not, were present in the area. Matthew took a deep breath, grinning.
"Wow… it's really pretty here." Rowan let go of Matthew's hand to wander around the garden, gently touching the plants around him.
Plants seemed to be able to be made out of most anything here, not just organic material. Still, it was all alive and flourishing. Matthew grinned, looking around.
"I'm glad you like it!"
"Mhmm. We haven't got anything like this back in New York. It's mostly just a lot of buildings, you know?"
"Yeah, I saw…" Matthew shook his head just a touch.
"I much prefer things like this." He lifted one hand to cup a crystal-esque flower, humming softly.
"Me too…" Rowan sighed happily and kept wandering around. "It smells way better here too." He laughed softly. "Should we let the chicks explore a bit?"
"Sure, I don't see why not. This is a safe place." Matthew carefully held his hand up to the nest. Tammy came out, as to be expected, bringing Tommy with her. The two had pretty much become inseparable since the incident the day before.
Rowan smiled at them encouragingly. "It's okay, babies… it's safe out here." He headed over to the nest to gently pet them.
Tammy leaned into the petting, looking around wearily. Satisfied there was no danger, she pulled Tommy along as they scrambled out of Matthew's hand to explore the area. Timmy didn't want to, of course, choosing to stay in the nest.
"You okay, baby?" Rowan reached into the nest to gently pet Timmy. "Don't you wanna go out and explore with your brother and sister?"
Timmy nodded, then shook his head a bit. No, he would rather not. He leaned into the petting, nuzzling against Rowan's fingers.
Rowan sighed softly. "Alright, baby… you can stay here if you wanna." He pet Timmy for a few more seconds before wandering further off into the garden.
Timmy offered a relieved smile, leaning into the petting. Matthew kept the nest in one hand, looking around the garden himself. It really was fun for him here.
"Any plants you're enjoying more?" He asked, moving to Rowan's side a moment.
"I'm sure if we asked we could get some seeds."
"Mm… maybe we can have our own little garden? Maybe there's some kind of coffee plant around here…" Rowan wandered around, not hearing the soft hissing from the bushes.
"Oh! That would be a really good idea! We can ask to see if any of the plants are edible, then." Matthew smiled, oblivious himself. He knelt down by one plant, gently cupping the fabric petals in one hand.
