"Yeah, I don't think any of these are like… original paintings. Mostly prints and copies of them," Tohru added, "We couldn't afford a real, original copy."
He smiled a bit.
"I remember those birds from somewhere in my travels… Can't quite put my finger on which planet though."
"Yeah, probably." he replied with a quiet laugh, smiling at Tohru. "What kind of birds are thye?"
"Mm, I think there's another proper name for them, but people usually refer to them as glowbirds. They've got some sort of chemical in their feathers that soaks up solar energy and makes them light up at night. Not sure exactly how all that works, but they're very interesting. But I also happen to like birds a lot, so that might be just me," Tohru replied, his smile broadening.
"Some people keep them as pets. They make good companions when traveling at night, supposedly."
He nodded slowly. "They sound lovely." he replied, studying the painting curiously.
Tohru thought for a moment.
"Ah, yeah… it was on Beorc, now that I think about it," he concluded, "Ever been there?"
He shook his head. "I don't believe so, no." he replied, running a hand through his hair.
"A lot of it is very… wild and desolate. Beautiful, really. There are a couple of larger cities and tribes, but it's also a popular planet for fugitives to escape to," Tohru explained, "Let's just say, it wasn't hard to find work there."
He nodded a little bit. "I see." he replied quietly, closing his eyes for a moment and hten reopening them.
Tohru placed the painting in the cart.
"See anything else you like?" he asked, starting to scan the shelves again.
He hummed faintly, and shook his head. "Mm…no, I don't think so."
"Okay. We can look at posters and tapestries, and other types of wall hangings, I guess," Tohru said, "Nothing else is striking my eye quite the same."
He nodded a little bit. "Of course." He replied, looking around curiously at the different paintings and decorations.
Tohru sifted through a bunch of posters, leaving the cartin the aisle. He hummed softly to himself as he looked through the stack.
Davin tapped his foot softly as he looked around, eyes flickering over the shelves.
Tohru walked a bit further until he saw some decorative wall clocks.
"Maybe one of these would look nice in the kitchen?" he suggested, gesturing at the ones on display.
"Yeah, maybe.Should we do a food themed one, perhaps?" he asked, smiling faintly.
"Aw, like a little fruit-themed clock?" Tohru replied, "I think that could be fun."
He nodded a little bit, looking around for one like that.
Tohru examined the shelves, and couldn't find anything at first where he was looking.
"Any luck?" he called over.
"Mm, not yet!" He called back, still looking around carefully.
"Let me know if you do, then. Or anything else you like," Tohru said with a shrug.
He scanned back over the shelves, but in all truth, was not able to fully pay attention. He glanced over his shoulder to see Davin again, then slowly looked away.
After a few minutes, he pulled out a clock. "Found one!" He exclaimed with a smile, looking over at Tohru.
Tohru turned his head again to set his eyes on what Davin had picked out. He smiled back.
"Yeah, I like that," he replied, "It's very cute."
Davin grinned, setting the clock into the cart. "Agreed." he repleid.
Tohru flashed Davin a smile.
"I'm having a good time," he said softly, and with a little laugh, "And you've got good taste in interior design."
