"Those sound fine." Davin replied with a quick nod, looking at Tohru and smiling.
"Those sound fine." Davin replied with a quick nod, looking at Tohru and smiling.
"Great. You're welcome to input some ideas too. Do you have any favorite colors?" Tohru asked, "Oh yeah, and we should probably get some curtains for the bedroom as well, right?"
"I like blues and greys." he replied with a shrug, smiling a little. "And yeah, maybe some curtains would be great. Light-blocking ones, to help keep it darker inside?"
"Yeah, exactly," Tohru agreed, "It'll probably help us sleep better."
He paused for a moment.
"So would you like to do the bedroom in blue?"
"Yeah. Maybe a medium blue? Not too dark, but not super light, either." he suggested.
Tohru hummed in agreement. He was actually getting kind of excited about their new place. He'd never really had anyone to share a place with since he'd left his parents, and even then, he'd never done a ton to his place, just out of convenience. Having an extra pair of hands definitely make a difference here.
Davin smiled again, happy at the prospect of being able to decorate their new home.
"Did you want to buy some decorative pillows for the couch?" Tohru suggested, thinking out loud.
"Oh, sure." he replied. "Just as long as they're comfortable too, and not just decorative." he shot Tohru another smile.
Tohru laughed to himself; he had been about to say the same.
"Of course. There's no point in having them if you can't use them."
He nodded a little. "Obviously."
Tohru pointed at one of the shops.
"There's that one, and there's a secondhand shop a couple of blocks over. There could be more stores, but I'm not certain."
Davin nodded. "Let's go to that first one." He replied, angling over to the first store that Tohru had pointed out.
"Okay," he agreed, leading the way in.
He pushed the door open and held it just long enough that Davin could follow.
"Just looking in the window, I kind of like this place."
Davin smiled. "Me too." He agreed, following Tohru inside and looking around curiously.
Tohru grabbed a cart from the front of the store and pushed it in front of them. He looked back over Davin.
"What do you want to look for first?"
Davin hummed for just a moment. "Mm…I'm not sure." he lauhed faintly.
"Well, we know we want pillows… mm, what else?" Tohru muttered to himself, trying to sort out how to do this.
"Knickknacks and paint." He supplied with a soft smile..
"Okay, great. Maybe pick out the paint first, so we know what to match decor to? And if they have to mix a color for us, we can shop instead of waiting around," Tohru suggested.
"Perfect!" he replied, looking around for the paint section of the store.
Tohru walked along the shelf and looked at the paint chips. He picked up a couple and scanned his gaze across some of the colors.
Davin walked a little distance away, looking at other paint ideas.
After grabbing a few more chips, Tohru met back up with Davin.
"See anything you like?" he asked.
Davin hummed faintly, picking up a chip that was a sort of muted gold. "I like this one, though probably only one wall should be done in this color, if we use it."
