Nick smiled, pulling Cas closer to him. He breathed in Cas’s smell, pressing his lips onto Cas’s once the other boy seemed to have regained some breath.
Nick smiled, pulling Cas closer to him. He breathed in Cas’s smell, pressing his lips onto Cas’s once the other boy seemed to have regained some breath.
Cas tilted his chin up so he could be closer to Nick, his cheeks still lightly flushed. "I… I-I love you…" He managed to say softly between kisses.
Nick’s eyes widened for a moment before he smiled. “I…I love you too,” he responded.
Oh thank god… Cas kissed him more passionately, sliding one hand up to tangle his fingers into his hair.
Nick returned the intensity, moving his hands to Cas’s back. He had been surprised, but pleasantly surprised.
Cas cupped Nick's cheek with his free hand, occasionally drawing back to get air, but always returning with the same intensity to the point where he was worried they'd both end up with bruised lips.
Eventually, Nick pulled away with a resigned look on his face. “As much as I’d love to keep kissing you, we don’t want people asking questions,” he said softly, a tiny piece of his heart breaking at the remembering that they had to keep everything a secret, at least for now.
Cas nodded reluctantly, gently touching his lips with two fingers. He seemed almost in awe, but he seemed pretty happy. He felt as though he were walking on air.
Nick smiled slightly watching him. He held the other boy close, feeling happy just to have Cas with him.
Cas snapped out of his daze and hugged Nick. "We'll get through this… everything'll be okay."
Nick nodded slowly. “Yeah,” he breathed. “Everything is going to be fine as long as I have you.” He knew how incredibly cheesy that sounded, but didn’t care.
Cas nodded as well and hugged him tighter. "Jane will help us make a plan, and we'll be able to be together and our kingdoms will stop fighting."
“Yeah…” he agreed, putting off his anxiety in favor of focusing on the here and now with Cas. Even hugging him felt amazing.
"I love you." Cas said as confidently as he could, though his voice noticeably wavered a bit.
Nick smiled, his heart warming. “I love you too,” he responded, wavering a tiny bit as well, but mostly confident.
Cas smiled as well, the golden flecks in his eyes catching the light for a moment. "I hope we can get this all sorted out soon."
Nick sighed, the pressure getting to him. “Me too,” he admitted. “But at least I know that I don’t have to do any of this alone.”
He nodded. "With Jane as well, we're not alone. I'm not saying it'll be easy, but we're at least not alone."
“Mhmm,” Nick agreed. “Jane is really being helpful. I’m just a bit nervous, unsurprisingly.”
Cas shrugged. "I'm just glad she's supportive at all. It would be much harder if she was homophobic."
“Jane’s a much better sister than I deserve,” he admitted. “She’s like an angel. An angel who doesn’t know how to shut up and is constantly annoying, but still.”
"I don't have any siblings, so I can't really relate."
“Well, Jane will love that. She’ll probably treat you like a brother as well,” he said with a smirk.
Cas rolled his eyes. "Well, if we're to be married, she'll kind of have to."
Nick laughed. “True. But she’ll be happy to do it. Is there some function we have to attend tonight? I forget.”
