Make them!! i don't have a bookshelf yet bc we just moved…and I got rid of so many books and so I have one tiny book box. One (1). That's it. I hate it so much bc I already read allllll my books and alllll my ARCs and I have nothing left for the rest of quarantine ughh

Ok actually though. Some of the most beautiful covers I've seen were for my least favourite books.

@Pickles group

Characters dying in front of their loved one that say "I never noticed insert whatever"
Makes me cry a million times harder. 10/10. Assuming it actually makes sense with the context

@Wry_Wyvern

part of why I've been procrastinating. telling myself I want to read Shadow and Bone first and then. Not

I read Six of Crows without having read the Grisha trilogy, and I understood the world pretty easily. I would recommend reading Shadow and Bone before Crooked Kingdom though, since some of the characters from it appear in CK.

And especially before King of Scars, or you'll be super lost.

Honestly, I read the Six of Crows duology before the Grisha trilogy and I'm glad I did because I don't think would have read SoC had it been the other way around. You get kind of more of an in-depth explanation about the magic system in the Grisha Trilogy but it's not super complicated so you'll be fine if you don't read it.
Kind of recommend just going straight for SoC because the Grisha trilogy is kind of terrible.

but that's just my opinion

I actually saw one good instance of the "haha, jk, I didn't actually betray you." At least I thought it was good. The betrayal wasn't to "help" the main character. It was more along the lines of forced betrayal.
People have kind of made betrayals into a weird trope though. Not a fan.

@HighPockets group

You know when a character gets hurt and then either their friend or love interest have to help them and that's when they realize how much they care about each other? I like that. I want more of that.

@HighPockets group

YES. Also more Good enemies-to-lovers, because that's…my favorite trope tbh

Cough Evie and Sam cough
Not really enemies-to-lovers I guess, but sort of.

Daniella has a breakdown and Nathaniel hugs her and inhales sharply it's perfect.
