It's funny because after you turn like……22ish, age isn't really something you think about anymore.
Like Jay and I just happen to be the same age, but before him I dated people with vastly different gaps.

The more you mature the more it doesn't matter.

But you also tend to drift towards what you are around a lot. So if a 25 year old is in a college class with a bunch of 18 year olds then yea there will more than likely be some kind of relationship.

@moss

I really don't like over powered characters. Like when a character has never fought in their life and then they train for 2 days and suddenly they've mastered all forms of martial arts and are able to beat someone who's trained their whole life.

@Wry_Wyvern

I agree; I also hate when a character uses a weapon they aren't used to with no problems (for example, even a well-trained archer would be at best a little off if the size, type, and draw weight of the bow they used wasn't exactly what they've trained with).

@Becfromthedead group

Yeah, like bows aren't easy lmao. I tried to draw a compound bow once, and let's just say that didn't work out for me at all.
Also don't get the trope of "smol archer" because it does take some muscle to draw a bow.

I usually have my peeps stick with what they know. If a sword isn't available–well tough shit they're using their fists and/or the next long pointy thing that can be used as a sword.

Yeah. Haven't done enough fighting with them but yeah. Except Daniella and Silas. Silas would pull some genius trick and Daniella would be Athletic Goddess.

Unrealistic children I guess? I read Charlie Bone and that’s one thing I hated most about it.

Unrealistic children are the bane of my existence
Bonus points for unrealistic child speech

Oh my god yes. I just finished reading the Lightning Thief, and as much and all as I do love the Percy Jackson series I had a really hard time wrapping my head around the fact that those characters were twelve.

Also, unrealistic child speech immediately made me think of this tweet.

Because I've definitely seen authors try to pull stuff like that. Or else you have the other end of the spectrum and have like 8 year olds talking like they're a 3 year old.

Couldn't find the one with the reply, but it goes "what was the kid doing in that month?" "reading a thesaurus"
