The HYPOCRISY of some conservatives makes me angry. Everyone's all "biden can't even form a sentence" like have you heard trump???? Ever???

@HighPockets group

what the actual fuck
he legit basically said 'snooze you lose' to voting, a highly important part of our government. that's not. no. you can't just say that voting stops just because you say so. people voted by mail so it's going to take time to get those votes

And it's not even snoozing!! It's about the people who sent their votes in in advance, therefore doing the opposite of "snoozing and losing"

I'm being rude at the government and their two party system.
I hate both canidates. I have views on both sides of the spectrum, but jfc I know people who could have their rights stripped away from them if trump and pence get their views pushed through. I mean, its unlikely cause it has to go through the other branches, but still. And then there was the thing about changing the constitution which the democrat party is going for, and that's also scary. Even if they use it for good things now, giving the president power to overstep the amendment process is too much. I hate this and how I'm going to be judged by literally everyone no matter who I vote for because there is no middle ground and our goverment has no diversity in their views, only the extremes of a spectrum that shouldn't exist.

@Katastrophic group

see I used to agree, but my parents made an excellent point. We as a country are exatly named, united states. by going for populous vote only two or three states will matter. Most of the midwest, which is where I live and is very important for feeding the country, will be obsolete and have no political power whatsoever. There has to be a better way than what we have now, but there still needs to be a way for smaller states to have a voice.

@Katastrophic group

Agree to disagree then. Though rn its more of an oligarchy with the parties. Only a select few rich politicians can actually have a chance to run for presidency or seats of power, and tbh all of them suck. When was the last time a canidate from a different party allowed in a debate? or literally anyone besides the "chosen" dem or rep candidate for that matter. I just hate politics in general.

@Katastrophic group

lets impose an age limit. they already have one, so no young person can get in, so lets make it so senior citizens can't run.
My roommate suggeste a meme test. If they fail they're too old to run.

exactly!! he's basically saying that the people who voted by mail don't get to vote just because he's "already won this" and it's bullshit. biden's speech was way fucking better than that. instead of being a cocky asshat, he simply said that he's feeling good and has hope

Because that's where the people are…?

It's not that I'm agaisnt the popular vote winning, its the fact that the middle states will be ignored. If votes don't matter, then the presidential canidates and all ensuing campaigns and rulings will ignore those states. Policies will center around only a few of the states when there are important rullings to be made in other states too. It's the politics that are the problem, not the population if that makes any sense.

@Katastrophic group

I hate that no matter who wins, innocent people will lose their rights
like where’s the “everyone deserves to be treated equal” party?

same mood as the "Any sane functioning adult 2020" sign. There's just no winning, only stress and hurt on both sides.

Oh, I get what you mean. Yeah, it's bullshit that politicians only care about getting my elected and thus the areas that will get them the most votes
